A friend opened a gmail account on my fire fox browser and saved her password on the saved folder. I mistakenly log her out this morning and we have been trying to recover her account but couldn't as she can't remember her password again.

We tried to check the saved password for the details but couldn't find the password again. Can you please assist?

Hi, I like to know how to transfer addresses to bookmark toolbars? I have the copy all addresses of bookmarks in the previous firefox. I transferred all, but they are in one bookmark, not in toolbars, or other bookmarks. I like to set the same as the previous bookmarks. Thank you so much for your help, Miyabi

I continued reading on FireFox, and found that there is a "Refresh" procedure that might work, AND IT WORKED!

Firefox does not automatically create a new empty window on startup. Neither starting from "applications" nor clicking icon in the dock

Instead once has to right click the icon then click "New Window"

Why is it that the people who "improve" products are always dickering with the look and feel to no benefit to the user? Why suddenly does a new empty window not open? Fantastic job Mozilla. It takes me an hour or so to figure out how to even get a window with the default web page URL and then I have to perform forever after three clicks instead on one.

I have a suggestion. The next time you think about changing the look and feel: DON'T. It is just that simple. DON'T.

Find out and correct the problem I typed in the question block : I am no longer able to download my email from the WOWWAY home page since I accepted our latest update. The only way I can get my email now is by using Microsoft Edge as my browser!!!!

Every time I quit FF, FF crashes, or my Mac crashes, my bookmarks either disappear entirely, or the toolbar bookmarks and/or my "Other Bookmarks" folder disappear while leaving my main "Bookmarks Menu" bookmarks. When I tried to restore from json backups, I discovered that my last one seems to be from last October. So I used Time Machine to restore my FF user profile from March 1. This works, but then I go through the cycle I just described above again ... and again. New backups of my Mac do not hold onto the bookmarks when I restore FF user profiles made after March 1.

When I try to manually back up my bookmarks or export my bookmarks to an HTML file from inside the "Manage Bookmarks" window, everything seems to work, but then when I go looking for the file I supposedly created (e.g. bookmarks-2024-03-04.json), no such file exists in the location where I saved it and searching for a file with "bookmarks" in its name yields only bookmarks from other browsers and the old bookmark backups from last October and earlier.

In a recent Firefox browser update, my ability to reference my home router by name via the Windows HOSTS file stopped. I can ping the router by name from a CMD window just fine but keying the name into Firefox now fails. Images show the two forms of failure - a 500 Error when DNS over HTTPS is enabled; a 'having problems' error with suggestion of www..com alternative when DNS over HTTPS is disabled. Neither is the least bit helpful.

I can't imagine what changed and I can't find a prior support response that gives any clear ideas.

When running a remote desktop connection, if the the remote computer has a web player running (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, etc.) it will stop playback and audio will stop outputting from the remote computer.

However, you can hit play again on the web player and it will resume playing. But once you end your remote desktop connection the player will stop again and all audio or video output

There is a post here (https://mzl.la/3Pg6xU3) that stated you can change "security.sandbox.content.level" value to "2" but this did not work.

Any ideas?

I don't know how you can help. I really really really hate hunting for things that were there in previous years. I do not like full screen lay over that mozilla has taken to doing, if it doesn't stop i will have to remove it. I want to see my tabs, I want mozilla to stop playing with my settings and logging me out when I am idle or on my phone. There are people with the same problem but its all techy talk and i don't understand and its playing with my time to constantly search or resign in. I don't need microsoft anything, hate it, don't use cloud, don't use chrome... so do we have an issue? one more thing... I absolutely hate with a passion of terminator any fucking ai garbage and bots. would sooner smash devices and take out a fire arm to shoot any robots. Hope that makes it clear. I have anxiety issues, so swearing is an issue, get used to it especially if artifical nonsence is involved. I try very hard not to swear at people. Ai is a different matter. I have norton antivirus.

Hello. I experience a problem that occurred 2 days ago. Firefox seems to ignore my preferences of opening previous windows and tabs, also it ignores pinned tabs. Some of websites disappear from the history (let's say i opened few windows to check if tabs will be saved by firefox, closed browser, opened it after few minutes: tabs are gone, history has only few of websites that were open. I tried to look for the problem by myself but failed. I will be grateful for your reply, thank you in advance.

Hi, lately I have been having issues with updates. When Firefox browser in MacOS gets update, it ask me to sign in to all platforms again. This wasn't the case at all before.

In the browser settings I use a color preference that replaces white with black, this works with pages where Dark Reader is not available. These settings are needed so that when surfing the web at night with the dark mode on, my eyes don't hurt from contrasting bright white elements with dark-colored pages. For example, it works on single image pages - in situations where except for the image the rest of the page is colored solid white; It also works for some add-ons - on settings pages and pop-ups.

I'm interested in being able to automate toggling on/off the «Use system colors» checkbox, which is in the browser «Color» settings. It would be great to somehow synchronize the activation of night mode in Dark Reader with disabling checkbox responsible for using system colors. Or, for example, make it so that when the «Website appearance» setting is set to «Automatic», the checkbox is switched accordingly together with it - being disabled when the appearance is dark and enabled when it is light.

I have 2fa enabled on my account, is there a way to skip/disable the third step where I have to enter a code from an email? It's already redundant with 2fa. Plus, the runaround of "enter your email, enter your password, get email, enter the code, oops your password is wrong!" is irritating enough :) It just seems unnecessarily difficult.

I tried to download a copy of my personal website, Firefox says it has an invalid certificate because https was personally added. Website is with Bowker Identifiers. No problem opening at Bowker. Firefox would accept no form of the URL as being valid.

So then I signed into Mozilla to complain using my gmail account. It appears it is assumed I am opening a new Mozilla account because when I went to add a second email address for security purposes, it says the account already exists - it does! That was the account I accessed using Google to sign in!

Now I will not renew my authorhomepage website because if I cannot access it from my own account with Firefox, who can? Who accesses it regardless of the browser they are using? Very annoying because I will have lost a lot. Can you close out a user from accessing their own online stuff? Do I now have two Firefox account because I updated information?
