Hi,
I have a problem with youTube. I've always been able to access my channel sections simply by clicking on the section title with no issues. However, since last night, that is not working. Now, the only way I can see all the playlists in each section is if I right-click and open in a new tab.
Any ideas what's up? As far as I'm aware, it's not a connection problem and I've cleared the cache etc. Using a Mac.
It's a real pain having to open sections in a whole load of different tabs. Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated! Also, I'm not very tech-savvy :(
Many thanks, Maroulita

If I lock my machine for more than a few minutes and then log on again, it's always the same. I unlock my system and feel some kind of slowness in Firefox. When I switch from the currently open tab in Firefox, the new tab is highlighted in the tab bar, but the content part of the window is frozen. If I quickly open htop, I can see that the main Firefox process is suddenly using about 130% of my CPU. The only solution I have found is to quickly open htop after unlocking the system, send a SIGKILL to the main Firefox process and reopen it. This way the freezing, slowing problem is nowhere to be seen.
I am running Debian 12 with Firefox 115.4.0esr (64-bit). I have more than enough RAM and CPU.

hello
since few years im a bit surprised by the fact, that on firefox, it's harder and harder to do the following customisation : -enable or disable javascript -enable or disable pictures of webpages
the thing is, years ago it was just a one-click setting to change, and now it's looks like to be needed either to go on nerdly-menu (about:config, and know by heart the right one), or to use an addon (that i dont want)
do you know if there is a possibility, for an offline computer (mean bye addons), without going to about:config, to enable/disable both Javascript feature, and picture of webpages?
it's the same for customised search engine : years ago it was faisable with just entering the address of a new one into the common settings, now it's looks like an addon is required.... why?!
years ago no addon nor connection was needed to :
-en/disable JS
-en/disable images/pictures on webpages
-add/remove search engine
..why?
thank you vm

Hello! I have been inspired to customize Firefox to make it look like version "4" from this reddit post!
One of the things that I cannot find is how to get the old Firefox 4 icons. Is there an official site that has them or should I search or the source code of Firefox from version 4?

I went to my Settings under DRM and found some articles on how to watch DRM content. I dug a little deeper and went to Manage Your Plugins and noticed two Enabled Plugins - OpenH264 Video Codec and Widevine Content Decryption Module provide by Google.
Under the Widevine plugin, there is a message highighted in yellow that reads - Widevine Content Decryption Module will be installed shortly.
It's been like this for 2 days and I don't know what to do next.

Hi, I spent several hours trying just to change the color of the downloads icon (thought it would take me 1 minute). First I tried to do it myself, then searched the internet. From what I found on the internet, some stuff doesn't work, some works partially and in an unexpected way, most of it is difficult to understand and modify. Finally I give up. Please, is it possible to make white the download pie and the arrow thing (when the download is finished). That's all I ask for. If possible, without using the var-- stuff, just using fill: or filter: or some other straightforward functions.

Hey there,
Starting with Firefox v115, you had to set layout.css.page-size.enabled to false in about:config to get the page orientation back for printing PDFs (i.e. Portrait or Landscape).
It seems with the release of v119, this once again is broken and the layout.css.page-size.enabled setting no longer works. Is there something else that needs to be done now? We rely heavily on this and our current workaround is installing the ESR version of Firefox but seems like it'll catch up eventually.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
