I just spent 15 minutes browsing and downloading a lot of images. When I was done I looked at my downloads folder and saw only half of them there. I checked the download history in firefox, and couldn't see some files. They were not queued or in progress. They weren't in the download list at all.

I reproduced this. I downloaded an image again. Right click, save as, click save. Then that image doesn't appear in the download history.

I tried some variations. Hitting enter instead of clicking save. Opening the image in a new tab and using ctrl-s.

Still, no image in the download history or on disk.

I quit firefox and re-openned. Still the file didn't appear on disk or in the download history.

Then I kept trying, and I got a second issue, which I think is related.

Often when I save an image, instead of one window popping up asking me where to save it, I get a second window popping up ontop of that, then a third, then a fourth. All ontop of each other. All asking the same thing. They take the focus, so it's not possible to interact with the main firefox window to continue browsing.

Sometimes if I hit enter literally 50 times then it will save the same image repeatedly, and eventually I can go back to browsing.

Sometimes there's more than 50 popup windows (my hunch is more than 100). My only solution then is to quit firefox forcefully. Which is annoying if I have state in other tabs that I don't want to lose.

This has happened many times over many weeks. It only happens on some file saves. I can't figure out why it happens on some, not others. (Right click > save, and also ctrl-s, they both do the same thing.)

This form won't let me attach a screen recording. Only screenshots. That's annoying because you can't really see the behavior from the screenshot. But I'll try. See the dark black border outside the download dialogue? That's normally a very faint transparent shadow. But because there's so many duplicate windows all exactly ontop of each other, those multiple transparent shadows have become opaque.

What you can't see from a static screenshot is that I could see each window appear ontop of the other. If I try to select the filename text and edit it, very quickly another window appears ontop with the default filename again. I can see the Firefox icon in the Gnome bar on the left shaking every time a new window pops up.

(Hmm, it looks like I can't *upload* screenshots either. I click browse, select a file, and then it doesn't get uploaded.)

I'm on Ubuntu 22.10 with Wayland.

I don't know if this issue is a bug in Firefox, or in Gnome. I've only seen this behavior with Firefox in Gnome. Not Firefox on another DE/OS. And not any other application in Gnome. This behavior has been intermittent since I bought this laptop and installed Ubuntu about a month ago.

• After a Google search, I cannot click any link to go to the page result.
• If I type in an address the Webpage just won't load.
• My Gmail often will not load.
• I have several emails, but the list in GMail won't show them
• YouTube plays horribly choppy. (I followed a help guide to change some setting, but it did not help)
• I have to constantly use Chrome instead. I don't want to use Chrome. There is no problem with any of these in Chrome, so I know it is a Mozilla Firefox problem, I just don't know how to fix it.

I am using 113.0.1 and it is up to date

Good Day All - Previously I had installed a extension for my homepage. I had to reinstall my operating system and now that I'm reinstalling firefox I can't find the extension I was using previously. Is there any way in Firefox to see the history of the extensions tied to my account ?

Can a Wildcard such as Dollar or the question mark be used to substitute a character or a number of characters while searching the FF password manager? I need to change my email address, but my old one is no longer active so I can't receive the confirmation code that will be sent to it, nor can I receive a reply to this question. Firefox version 113.0.1; Operating system Mac OS x 10.13.

All my bookmarks and favourites vanished after a semmingly normal update. I had everything there, it was the reason I wanted to keep firefox instead of using edge. Please help me!

Fonts are often way too bold it's unreadable — for example, in the attached screenshot, c is so thick it's looks like o. In other browsers it looks fine. Been having this problem for half a year. Win 10, Firefox 113.0.1

Whenever I attempt to enter my bank account (Maine) I receive a "security message" and when I click to have my phone contacted in order to receive a pass code, the phone NO LONGER rings like it used to.

What is the problem?

I now have to use Microsoft Edge in order to get into my bank account.

I just reset my password because I had forgotten it and I found out none of my other passwords are saved :(. In the description it said that data is encrypted and there MAY be some losses.. but is it possible that all is lost?

Having changed for a time to another browser and imported/exported back and forth, I am presently with three bookmark menus, one after another. When a bookmark does not appear, I have to go to manage bookmarks to see in which one it is. Is there a possibility of merging the menus or only by manually checking in one menu and scrolling to the next, etc. and eventually deleting the excess? If the last is the only option, is there any way to get a second display to work from instead of having to scroll back and forth? Thank you for your imput.

I am wondering if there is a way to get a menu of bookmarks to show up in the context menu when you right-click within a webpage in Firefox.

Hi There. I'm running Firefox and Thunderbird. I have a gmail account in FF but as of this morning I was unable to send/receive messages (rejected by server). I deleted the mail account and tried to reinstall it within FF (smtp), but no go, I get a splash page from google asking to sign into google - that times out - although I was already signed into Google.

In my google settings I've cleared cache, history and enabled to accept all cookies. I am able to access my gmail account directly from gmail, but not through FF. I uninstalled/reinstalled FF. What am I missing?

Dear Support people, Firefox now not opening several sites (which open when I cut and paste url into MS Edge). This has become increasingly inconvenient. I have put the respective sites urls in the "Exceptions" files for both cookies and pop-ups. This has sometimes helped, but is not working at all now. I've been with FF for years, but am thinking of switching to another browser now. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

When i start up Firefox, or go to a new website, i get a "Cannot Load Page" message for the first 1-3 attempts. It can take several minutes to access the internet every day. No other devices, or Thunderbird have any difficulties. I have the latest versions, completely removed my firewalls, installed a new Arris wi-fi system (my desktop is hard-wired,) and uninstalled my Norton - there has been no changes. Its getting very frustrating because i am dealing with new life issues, and trying to research documents is like pulling teeth. I need this fixed or i will need to try a new browser.

The OS-wide feature for MacOS, text replacements does not work in Firefox. The replacements are great time-saving for me and for everyone who works with forms a lot.

This feature is the reason why I avoid using FF, my experience becomes very limited. Safari, Chrome and Opera all have this feature enabled.

Can this be enabled in FF?

I am having problems with my Google Gmail. It won't load properly in Firefox (I have no problem in other browsers) and now I can't access YouTube. I'm having to delete my history continually and restart the Firefox. What's going on? I do have the current version of Firefox installed.
