Recently (and during the writing of this) i have experienced typing lag in Firefox. My input gets processed and handled, but it takes a little while, sometimes up to a few seconds, for the text to appear or the changes to occur (think of sending messages). I am currently on Firefox version 106.0.5, and have tried doing a safe restart ("Troubleshoot mode"), but the problems persevered. I have tried clearning cookies, cache, browser and login history, but the problems persevered. I am also not using the windows cursor text color highlighting, which was submitted as a solution to a similar problem a year ago. Thank you if you can help!

2 step authentication does not get saved that i have to enter a code every time when i log in. it should have been secure for then next 30 days as the check box selected.… (read more)

2 step authentication does not get saved that i have to enter a code every time when i log in. it should have been secure for then next 30 days as the check box selected. it seems it's a big issue for so many users that i found no solution. this issue is so bad and it easily is one of the reasons they are skipping this browser.

I stand corrected, my bookmarks ARE gone, not just the pull down menu.

I just posted a question re: my pull-down bookmarks menu disappearing. I stated in the question that my bookmarks themselves weren't gone, just the menu. I stand corrected. They are indeed "gone", i.e. completely inaccessible.

Gmail keeps asking for 2 step verification after "trusting" my computer.

So for my main gmail I have 2 step for obvious security reasons, but I want it to trust my PC so that I don't have to pull out my phone every time I try to access it. No matter how many times I click the option to trust this PC it always ask' for the 2 step, and I don't see the PC on the trusted list in my gmail settings. I have already added "mail.google.com" to the exceptions part of the cookie and site data settings, even "account.google.com" but it just doesn't seem to work. What is the obvious thing that I am missing?

Why put Ïmport bookmarks"and öther bookmarks" on toolbar when they are menu items???

I have been using the coderanch.com website for more than a decade and most of the postings include listings of source code which I was (past tense) able to cut a paste into my own development environment. With the latest version (107) of Firefox this has broken, the document now gets numerous non-printable characters (decimal 160) for the leading indents of the code. I'm assuming they are being somehow substituted for the tab character.

I went back to version 105 and the problem went away. Also Chrome does not have this problem.

Please fix soon as it is impacting my ability to help others on the coderanch site.

When I reply to emails, either reply, or reply all, I prefer to see all the email addresses from the email header that the original email was sent to. This is the default on most email systems I've used. I think it was the default on Firefox until recently.

Now, when I do a reply, or reply all, the message now starts with the original email, without the email headers. I understand some people may prefer that, but I definitely don't like it. It can be useful to see who the original email had been sent to, especially if there are errors in that list of people, or the people included are fewer or more than the previous email.

Note, if I forward the email, the email does contain the email addresses from the original email header.

This behaviour caused me some real grief when I realised some people had made a mistake when sending me an email recently.

Is there a setting to adjust this?

I'm looking for my recent history, but the history page lists only "today," which is Nov. 8, but nothing else for November. The next tab is for October. What I'm looking for is not in "Recently closed tabs" either, but there is no date information there. I'm trying to document when I posted a request at a vendor's website, and don't see the vendor at all.

I had to make a separate account just to post here but last night I was going through a lot of stress with computer issues, and had to semi-reset windows (lost all my programs, still have other files), I wasn't thinking straight and forgot to back up anything for my Firefox account and I have been trying passwords all day and I still cannot get in. It's gotten to the point where the Firefox Accounts login page asks me to give it a code from my email, I give it said code and the passwords still incorrect. If I can give it codes from my email, why can't I log in through my email or anything else?

I cannot reset the password because I would lose hundreds of saved passwords that I had stored in Firefox along with important bookmarks. I need to know if there is any way I can recover my account without losing my data, because I cannot afford to lose it at all.

It input my mail and password, wait for a loading screen and then I get a yellow box with the message "You have been logged out."

No matter how many times I try, I always get the same message. I can log in with my main account, but not with this one, which is the one where I have an add-on I'd like to update.
