Hi!

I hardly use tabs, and I have a widescreen notebook. So one of the most important features a browser must have is not to waste vertical space.

Unfortunately, Firefefox still has always tab bar open even if there is only one tab.

There was a css code to overcome this problem. Unfortunately, it does not work with FF 106 anymore (another one stopped working with 103). It always shows a "+" sign and uses vertical space.

1. ) How can I get rid of the tab bar? Is there a working css code or is it a feature now of FF? 2.) BTW, also one of the most important addons for me "I don't care about cookies" is not working anymore 3.) How can I fully stop updates? They are causing far too many problems 4.) I already know that css and addons are not officially supported by Mozilla.

I have recently bought a new laptop and installed Firefox, which I have been using for a long time. After signing into my Firefox account, everything synced over to my new Firefox account, apart from the colorways theme that I chose with the Firefox 94 update - mine is "Foto - Soft". Is there any way that I can get this theme on my newly installed version of Firefox? Thanks.

I appreciate the quick reply from your support staff yesterday. I followed instructions and was able to turn off the GIFs but FOR ONLY ONE TIME. As soon as I exited Firefox, or even the current page and returned to it they were back on. How do I keep them off permanently?

Whether I was in the standard Firefox search window, or Google, or DuckDuckGo (my preferred choice), I was able to click on a specific topic in the search window and have it automatically open a new window within the Firefox window settings. I can no longer do this with Firefox 100.

Please fix!

I have three Firefox-related browsers installed on a Linux Mint MATE system: Firefox, Nightly, and Pale Moon. I realize that Nightly is not intended for production use. That said, the top border is twice as tall as the one on Firefox and Pale Moon. This is a new system and I don't remember the border ever looking like this. The three images should illustrate the problem. Is there an about:config setting I should set?

Hello I don't have sound on Firefox. I made all points from article mozilla's about trobleshooting with sound, but it still doesn't works. I have sound on others - Chrome, Edge, Opera. I tried also install Firefox to my laptop and it's the same problem. I turned off blocking of sound in settings. What can I do with it? I very like Firefox and don't image to be without it. I don't want tabs i open through middle click to be focused immediately. I checked my settings and they aren't supposed to be doing that based on what I see. How do I get this to stop?

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. When i visit microsofts website to download windows 10 iso it redirects me to download the media creation tool which complete bloatware nonsense, the redirect happens because im connecting to their website while using a windows device and their websites knows that by inspecting my useragent, when i visit the same website from a virtual linux machine im not redirected and can directly download the iso, this is utter bullshit obviously. is there any extension or a config tweak that i can use to temporarily edit my useragent so websites beleve im using linux while im using windows and vise versa?

My employer sent me a link to sign up for an employment planning service. I need to enter my name, DOB and their entry code. The second line is being blocked and I cannot type in it. I need to type their entry code on this line. I have attached a copy of the screenshot. I am not sure what the Mask limit is for this line as it is not a line that I am typing my email address in.

It used to be possible to set the colour of a container to black, although I can't remember how I did it: I think it was somewhere reachable from the preferences page. Facebook container still sets its colour to black on installation, so the black colour is still there, but I can't set black colour for a container in the Manage Containers dropdown.

I'm running version 8.1.2 on 115.3.1esr (64-bit) for openSUSE Leap 15.5 (and it would be much easier if I could copy this information from the Help-<About page). </p>

One website in particular is almost 100% black. I cannot see most text. On another site, I cannot see check boxes, can't see the trash can icon.

This just happened recently. When I switch to Light Mode in the settings, both sites remain dark.

What settings can I change so everything on a site is visible?

I am new to firefox, and not a developer. I have seen articles showing how to install a Language module (done, GB English), but when I right click in a text box all the advice says I should see a "Dictionary" sub menu, but I don't. Spellchecker works in Chrome and Safari, just not firefox. Any ideas...

The Bookmarks Toolbar is showing up with a message to use it, even though I don't want to use it and have not added any bookmarks to it. This has shifted the actual screen down one line and messed up things I do that rely on screen positioning. Please turn it back off.

Recently, my win 10 crashed and although I managed to recover some operative, I found to my horror that the desktop screen text size and contrast cannot be changed now. The current default setup is a real eye sorer, so I opened personalization settings but there is nothing on how to change this very theme, other than other posts suggesting entering the regedit system files. I am very reluctant to tinker with this given the Win10 application crashes. Running maintenance doesn´t do much. I notice that Firefox also has access to this very text size and font theme for web domains, but I am very wary again of tinkering an unknown. What the heck can one do, confidently without the system resetting itself? One thing is for sure, it seems Win10 home edition update 21H1/2 versions is basically treating users very badly, as if MS wants to ignore them. Bless us all when the embedded caption suggests "ready to update to Win11". I´m highly inclined to bin it.

Since the last FF update I can no longer see live streams from my axis cameras. Only a pic placeholder appears on the HTML page. FF on mac and win are affected. @the win pc the html website axis cam live stream works fine. after update FF the same problem as on the mac. cache clean done. Does anyone have an idea if I need to change a setting?

When I restart firefox, it works once and i see the live streams. when i open a new tab no live stream only the placeholders.

I'm not very computer savvy but I followed a website a few months ago to edit Firefox so it'd default to dark mode. I think I went in and edited source code? I can't find the instructions anymore but I'd like to revert back to the original setting. How do I do that? I tried to refresh Firefox but it's still coming back with some websites in dark mode and some not. Please advise!

What about:config option do I have to disable to remove those new buttons from the address bar?
