Every time I launch Firefox it creates 12-13 instances of Firefox along with one each for Chrome and Console.

I don't need that many instances. Typically I have no more than 3-4 tabs open.

Is there a Configuration setting that I can change to reduce the number of instances to 5 and greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to launch.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V21H2 at current update level. I have a custom made tower with 512GB SSD and a Core2 Duo processing running at 2.93 GHz with 8 GB Ram. Firefox is V17.0.1.

After logging in to banking website, selecting any action after landing page results in just a greyed-out loading popup with Asterisk symbol showing working clockwise action. Tab continues and won't even auto time out disconnect like it should. must close tab to exit. Edge browser works fine on site, problem just began this week (update glitch ?)

certain parts of kp.org will not download with firefox. had to install an other browser to get them. as this is important med. info. i think this should be looked at and fixed

I have a problem only on one website (Ancestry.com). One of the pages there isn't loading. This has only happened since updating Firefox which I did yesterday or Friday. I have contacted Ancestry and the problem isn't their end. I was told they have had numerous customers who use Firefox experiencing the same problem. Their advice was to contact Firefox but there doesn't seem to be a way to speak to anyone, or to reinstall Firefox. I am nervous of deleting and reinstalling because I am not at all computer savvy and I'm worried about losing all my bookmarks and passwords. I would really appreciate someone taking me through this in baby steps and plain English. Imagine you are helping your 90 yr old granny who doesn't know the tech terms!

FireFox to citizensbank.com gets "Access Denied on this server." See details below. Works if use Edge. Perhaps Citizens Bank doesn't like FireFox? Sometimes it works, and other times not. Can get to front page and login page if use Edge.

Using Asus laptop, Mozilla VPN (turning vpn off doesn't change behavior), connected to net via WiFi and DSL.

Odd thing is can connect using FireFox from hardwired desktop. Desktop is fairly old, laptop fairly new.

A certain website (flixbus.com) is getting pinned on my firefox automatically. I have unpinned it several times but after few seconds, it gets pinned again. It's driving me nuts. I even cleared all my cookies but it didn't help.

When I access bookmarks using the manager/editor I see all bookmarks. However when I try to use bookmarks from the dropdown in the toolbar, I only see some bookmarks. I think it's the newer bookmarks that are missing but not certain.

Every once in awhile i get a second Firefox icon pinned to my taskbar and also a second listing for firefox in my programs list. If i try and delete the extra version there is only one listed in the control panel. Has anyone else seen this? I am running Windows 10 Pro.

I've been using firefox desktop pretty much since its inception. Despite numerous updates, for well over a year it has been auto scrolling when on facebook and I have tried every fix it to no avail (I'm highly computer literate and to me, this is now nuts). Note. My android mobile has never done it. I am at the end of my tether and am now looking at moving to another browser due to the frustration. I've gone through all the forums and note there are hundreds (if not thousands) of people with the same problem. Why can you not fix this and is there a fix? I have some Bookmarks on my laptop. I have some of these Bookmarks (Not all) on my tablet, plus some other Bookmarks.

If I sync them, which direction does the sync work in? Will all my Bookmarks on my laptop now appear on my tablet (Which I do not want to happen)? Will all my Bookmarks on my tablet now appear on my laptop (Which I do want)? Will I end up with two copies of most Bookmarks, because all my laptop Bookmarks are transfered to my tablet, plus all my tablet Bookmarks are transfered to my laptop?

I cannot find any explanatioin of what Sync actually does.

I once found a live bug opened for this, but I don't find it anymore.

The spell checking dictionary, as many pointed out, is horrible. It lacks tons of common words, as well as commonly used tech,internet, you name it - jargon words.

Is there (there should be) a repository to add missing words? Through my usage I add words to my private dictionary. Would be shame not to use this as part of this bug handling.

Happened to look in Task Manager, , there are 23 applications of Firefox running. Why ? I have two windows and a total of 7 tabs open. What's up with that ?

fire fox usually has one row of frequently visited /fav web sites come up on the home page, but it has stopped doing this and even when i try and add them manually it wont accept them, the same when i try and boo marl a web page

Follow the dialog at homelink.com to report an error with a garage door remote problem. Clicking on "Submit" gets a 404 error. I've had similar problems with other website dialogs, but usually the link is just ignored. For example rockler.com, when attempting to place an order - nothing happens. In both cases, switching to MS Edge works correctly.

every time I first try and full screen a video it will not correctly fill the screen. if i go back to windowed and full screen again it will be fixed, and will remain fixed for as long as firefox is still open. if I close firefox and open again it does the same thing. See screenshot for problem.

Hi! Upgrading to version 100 has made Firefox completely unusable for me. Every time I open it, the "Password required" popup appears, which is normal. However, whether I enter my primary password or click "Cancel", the popup goes to the background and I cannot close it, nor click on anything in the app. In fact, I cannot even close the app except from the upper menu bar (I'm on OSX). See the attached screenshot to get an idea. Please help!!!

I just updated to ver 11. prior to this if I scrolled down a list of bookmarks in a folder the next time I went to the folder ff would remember where I was and open at that spot. now every time I open the folder I am at the top of the list. this is very inconvenient since my folders has a LOT of bookmarks tagged. is there some option I need to check or uncheck. some other way to restore the reopen at previous location.
