When typing if I make a mistake I'll usually just delete the entire word and retype it rather than fix the spelling but to do that I need to use CTRL. Now when I press CTRL it zooms in the page even though there are no other buttons being pressed.

I use the numerical keypad frequently and need to use "/" often, but that key shares the shortcut for "quick find" which I then have to exit and click back into whatever text box I was typing in before I can continue. The alternative is to continually move my hand back and forth to the other "/" shared with "?". Both are annoying and unnecessarily take extra time.

I would very much like to disable the keyboard shortcut attached to the "/" key on the numerical keypad.

I am using Firefox on a new PC. Whenever I type something into the address bar, all results appear under a small Firefox Suggest header, even though Firefox Suggest is not available to me in the United Kingdom. I believe it is possible to remove this header through about:config, and I did so on my old PC shortly after FIrefox Suggest was released in 2021, although I have long forgotten how to do this for obvious reasons. Could somebody please explain how this header can once again be removed, or is it a permanent feature? Thank you in advance.

What the title says, and unfortunately I'm not sure why. If a theme isn't perfectly looped, it's...really noticeable. And I hate how ugly some themes turn out as a result. I don't want to start sticking my hands directly into firefox's advanced settings, since I don't know much about them and don't want to risk accidentally deleting or messing with something important, but I'd really like to get this fixed somehow... Is it just the themes I'm picking? Are they supposed to all be skewed off to the side? Or is something off with my browser? Maybe my resolution's weird or something...?

How can I restore a previous theme? I had a "colorfore" theme that Mozilla offered a few years ago set up in Firefox. It was perfect! I could see everything clearly with my aging eyesight.Then one of my synced computers needed a new Linux OS installation so I signed out of sync on that machine. Installed the new OS. When I started Firefox the first time I signed into sync. I got my history, bookmarks and bookmark bar, but no custom colors. Now my computer at work has its colors reset to the out of box colors too. I have lost the colorfore colors I have been using for several years now. How can I get the colorfore colors back? I run Firefox on a Dell laptop running Windows 10 Pro. I had to rebuild my system because of problems I couldn't solve. I've reinstalled Firefox and copied a profile I had saved in the cloud. When I click the extensions button ("puzzle piece") I do not see the extension list, only the add-ons page. do I have to uninstall and reinstall each extension to get it into the panel so I can pin some of them to the toolbar?

One website in particular is almost 100% black. I cannot see most text. On another site, I cannot see check boxes, can't see the trash can icon.

This just happened recently. When I switch to Light Mode in the settings, both sites remain dark.

What settings can I change so everything on a site is visible?

I updated to the latest version of firefox and am not pleased with the translation tool automatically detecting the wrong language on sites. Is there any way to fully disable it? I currently have no languages installed yet it pops up offering to "translate".

Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs,pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

I changed this setting to allows ask. Still the files are getting saved in the download folder after opening.

Please assist me to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. Thanks

AdBlock has not made any updates for Firefox for eleven months. Do they just not care, or has Mozilla rejected them? The internet is terrible enough as it loves to scam all users on all sites.

When scrolling down I choose to read an article in a new window. When I open the new window, on the right side, a pop up window appears titled “Join the Conversation” or “More from Daily Express” blocking some of the article’s words. How can I stop this pop up window from appearing? Thanks.

According to Firefox help pages, pinning an extension to the toolbar should work as follows:

"Click the extensions button (jigsaw puzzle Fx109ExtensionsButton icon) in the toolbar to open the extensions panel. Each extension in the panel has a menu button with a gear Fx91GearIcon icon. You can use this menu button to manage those extensions."

The extensions button doesn't seem to work like that for me. When I click the Extensions button I get several buttons (Recommendations, Extensions etc) on the left side of the page as in the first image attached (Firefox1).

If I then click the Extensions button I get to the Manage Extensions page, and if I then click the 3 dots (...) button on (say) Proton Pass I don't get a Pin to Toolbar option and clicking the Manage option opens the Proton Pass Details page (see image Firefox2) - none of the buttons on the any of the pages offers a Pin to Toolbar option.

Those extensions that are pinned to the toolbar, such as Adblock Plus ( see Firefox2 image), got pinned during installation and not by using the extensions button. Currently I seem to have no way of interacting with any extension via the extensions button.

Could be I'm doing something silly but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Firefox has started making a piercing high-pitched screech when the "save image" and "file update" panels appear. This is a confirmation or alert sound I suppose. It occurs when saving an image from a right-click menu and when downloading a file. Formerly Firefox used the system default sound for this, and that sound is still working in other programs for similar operations.

How can I fix this? Or alternatively how can I disable the sound during such operations in Firefox (or alternatively system-wide)?

I have Firefox set to "view PDF files in Firefox", but this is not happening with sites like Capital One and Consumer's Energy. these sites are just saving directly to my downloads folder even though I 1) Want to view the file first and 2) if it is going to save a flle, it is set up to ask where the file should be saved.

Neither of these things are happening even though I have them set up correctly in Settings.
