I'm using Ubuntu 18.04. Developer tools kept popping up so I went into about:config & set everything to false. Now an equally annoying tab keeps opening up asking to enable them. I don't just get this hitting F12. Just like before I disabled, this keeps popping up for seemingly no reason. Guess I'm accidentally doing something with the mouse. I don't have a clue how to use developer tools. Wish I could just wipe it out completely.

Hello! I want to work with burp suit application but for work with it the foxy proxy need. when I turned on the foxy proxy it always gives me different kind of error messages such ass "The proxy server is refusing connections". I tried everything I could but to no avail.

Hello! I've been using Firefox as my daily driver web browser for at least a year, first on Windows and now more recently on Linux (specs below). The PC itself is the same, the only thing to change was the OS. Ever since moving to Linux, I've had this problem with crashing. I have two monitors and I will usually snap the browser to half of one screen while I do other things on the rest of my display space. However, most of the time when I try to drag the browser window off of its half of the screen, all of my Firefox windows crash, with an error message about not being able to send a crash report (see attached image). This has been happening with multiple browser versions, both the official repository release as well as the Flatpak. No other application has behaved like this.

I have already selected firefox developer edition as the default browser from the Eclipse Enterprise Edition. However, when the browser is open, it cannot open the url generated from eclipse. Suppose, I hit the command 'run as server' on a jsp file. If developer edition is already open, the file does not get open on a new tab. However, if the browser is closed, then it opens with the jsp file.

I have tested that with google chrome and firefox normal edition and in there, it works absolutely fine. But I don't know what went wrong in the developer edition.

In KDE 5.24.4, Linux. I started to have some issues with "Open containing folder" probably because I installed many Gnome apps which may cause bad configurations in my system.

I suspect this cause this issue even though I don't really have gnome file manager:

From what I understand firefox now supports subtitles in picture in picture mode but when I use it for youtube it doesn't work. I have enabled the captions in the advanced settings and I have tried it with all my addons disabled.

As the title says, Multi-Account containers doesn't detect the VPN, which means that it's not setting the VPN for specific containers.

I suspect this is actually a problem with the "Allow extension to exchange messages with programs other than Firefox" permission. Could be a VPN issue, but gut feeling that it's a Firefox issue, TBH

Anyone else seeing this?

Using Outlook web, when viewing pdf documents, it displays strange symbols (incorrect font sets are probably used).

I point out that using Chrome the problem does not arise.

I also installed the microsoft fonts thinking it might solve the problem I attach illustrative image.

I don't want the tabs + search bar to show when the mouse reaches the top of the screen while in full-screen mode, I have tried "userChrome.css" solution provided in this link "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1092572", but it didn't work for me, I would appreciate any help, thank you.

I am on Linux Mint, Firefox 100.0 and I am trying to access a website, https://www.citapreviadnie.es:38188 (requires personal DNIe certificate). However, I keep getting SSL_ERROR_UNKNOWN_CA_ALERT. If I view the certificate of the website,

1. Firefox doesn't tell me which part of the chain is invalid or not trusted (or I don't see it) 2. When I try to download and import each of the CA certificates, I get an alert saying "This certificate is already installed as a certificate authority." 3. If I try to import the whole chain, I get another alert telling me "This is not a certificate authority certificate, so it can’t be imported into the certificate authority list." 4. If I try to add a permanent exception to the site, I see "This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information", but if I click "view certificate" I'm back to step 1, and adding the exception does not have any effect.

What am I supposed to do now?

Canonical transformed Ubuntu installation process from apt to snap. Unfortunately my FF 100 now is not able to load libetpksc11 module with message: module cannot be loaded.

Since a recent update the spacing of words in Firefox's UI as well as on some websites seems to be wider than normal (instead of a singular space it seems as if each space is now a tab wide). Additionally the numbers have also suffered and are now not presented in a normal font anymore but instead seem bigger and grey instead of white or black. Both of these issues occurred at the same time and appear on the normal User Interface of Firefox (e.g. in the bookmarks or in Firefox's settings and preferences) as well as on some websites/search engines. However when copying the text and numbers from Firefox into a regular text editor everything seems normal and no appearance issues can be noticed. What I've already tried: I've restarted my system multiple times since the issue first occurred. I've removed all contents from /home/user/.mozilla/firefox. I've reinstalled Firefox. I've deleted my cache. I've changed my font preferences in Firefox back to Default(Roboto) after having used Inter before. None of my actions above have changed anything. However, when I log into a different user on my computer and open Firefox there everything seems to be normal, so it seems as if this is a user-specific problem.

OS: opensuseTumbleweed 20220507 Firefox version: 100.0 (issue has occurred since version 98.0)

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 and along with that I upgraded Firefox. It's no longer possible to scroll the comment section of articles, just the main page. I've seen this on both the National Review and the NY Times. The scroll bar is also not persistent, it only shows up when the mouse is over it. Is there a way to fix this or is this a bug in Firefox 100.0?

I updated the operative system on my laptop but, when I opened Firefox and signed into my profile, it didn't import my old bookmarks, only the browsing history. Passwords and other data are all there, only the bookmarks are gone.

Is there a way to get them back?

Hi, I'm having some issue with the syncing of bookmarks. Some changes in bookmarks in one device (desktop) don't synchronize properly to others devices (desktop also). I have lost many bookmarks, names changed that don't change, disappearing of complete folders, etc. This are the last three error-sync-number.txt files I have on about:sync-log of an affected device, hope someone notices something relevant that could help me solve this horrible problem. Since I've upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 "Firefox" randomly started closing it's self without any crash report what so ever.

I've read some article on Ubuntu forums but I couldn't find any helpful information (Or they didn't work for me)

Please anyone help! I've been using Firefox all the time and has never crashed until the upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04

Hello, I was trying to fix this issue on my browser but I was not able to do it. The OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64-bit. Currently, I'm using Firefox version 99.0a1 but I had the same issue on version 97. Also, I have this issue on only one of my PCs. As I said in the subject: - The browser freezes the whole PC and I have to force reboot it. (I already disabled the hardware acceleration) - the recent download item open button does not trigger the opening of the folder. - If I try to download a file, the browser ask me where to save it. But if I try to download another one the browser shows me the directory with path /run/usr/1000/... I tried to delete places.sqlite but I received the same result. ... Hello! Please, implement the built-in speed dial, like in Opera and Vivaldi. It's extremely convenient and useful, lots of people need this. I've been using Firefox for more than 10 years and I hate your stupid "Firefox Home" page (sorry) on desktop and Android with icons that add automatically and I can't change and locate. It's inconvenient and completely useless. It would be great if you create something like Opera 12.17 or 12.18 had. In addition, please remove the "close" button in the last tab. I know that I can do it via the "config mode" (browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab), but it's not user-friendly. It's inconvenient when you close the tab just to return home, but the whole browser closes. It makes me nervous. Thank you in advance!
