Two local home improvement store websites are denying access to searching or logging on to an account with them. I have cleared cash and removed cookies and that sort of thing but I have yet to change browsers... Should I do that?

After my last Firefox upgrade install I can no longer access both The Home Depot and Lowes websites. This is the message I get when trying to access the Lowes web page search:

Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.lowes.com/Search=windows&catalog=4294772368&ac=true" on this server.

I admit I have a minimal machine for FF --- Win 7 pro, 2G ram but up to now it has managed---I just can't have too many large tabs open at one time. What gives with this install prob???

Pocket was removed some time ago. is there any way to get back the aspect of Pocket that allowed capturing the text and pictures from a website and copying and pasting that to (for example ) a Microsoft Word document?

Maybe a third party, as long as it was approved by Firefox.

When I open FF I get the message "Update available. FF couldn't update automatically. Download the new version - you won't lose saved information or customizations. < download > < dismiss >." When I click "help > about", the message box says I'm on the latest version of FF for my Windows 7 computer, 115.32.0esr (32-bit). I understand I need a new computer and that Mozilla isn't providing more updates to those of us left behind. However, I don't recall ever getting messages telling me to download a version when there wasn't an update that I could actually install on my current hardware and OS. Am I missing something by not doing the download to which reference is being made in the cited recurrent message? Can I expect to get this non-actionable "Update available" message from now on? I can't sign in on my Yahoo mail account. When i try to sign in i have a massage "Something went wrong We couldn't connect you. Please try again from a different device." On my other devices everything is OK. The problem appears on my desktop using windows 7 but on the same desktop the Yahoo mail work properly with Microsoft Edge. What i can do?

Help! How to fix?!

148.0 was updated today and somewhere the user profiles was changed; all website addresses for pw management were not able to connect. I have two computers on a home network; 1. a Digital Engine Win7 enterprise with Firefox ESR 115.33 operating OK, 2 is a CUBI mini Windows 10 Enterprise Firefox `48.0. I am in process of taking the windows 7 out of service and was doing some cleanup on home network and I noticed had a connection failure on the 2. machine. I looked at the browsers and discovered that the old firefox data is not on desktop as it once was, and I also noticed that the user profile for the about:profile was wrong. I need to restore the CUBI profile. I was moving some things around and lost continuity somewhere. II just remembered....there is a refresh on the control panel for mozilla. looks like this is going to work just fine. The old windows 7 makes a good traveling encyclopedia!

Ok I did a refresh; the machind took over recovered all the data files, repaired and cleared a path for restart of Firefox. and that failed due to a TLS handshake between Mozilla and Google.failed. I have mozilla, firefox, google and chrome accounts. All google accounts are logged out at this time; mozilla is logged in on the Win 7 machine and the failed refreshed machine needs to do the TLS....

Question: should I log in to google account and repeat a refresh? Seems like a dumb question

I answered my own dumb question.....I signed on to google and I guess Mozilla refress allowed the default browser to get the handshake but I noticed the settings were incomplete on my oped Firefox; once I set my tabs and prefs the web addresses were back to norm....I have a working pair of end of life OS PCs which are still going strong thanks to the Mozilla Open House! I used Pocket for a while. It was excellent since it allowed taking a webpage and converting it to a document that could be copied and pasted to Microsoft word. This allowed further analysis and work on the contents of the page and was extremely useful.

Now that Pocket is gone is there another extension or a purchased extension that does the same thing on the present day Firefox.

I presently use Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Appreciate any suggestions.
