When I am working on the internet, I often open a new tab, click the bookmark for where I want that to go to. Then go back to the prior tab I was using, while the new tab loads. EXCEPT, now I am finding, the non-active tab is NOT loading the page I instructed it to. So when I go back to that TAB, expecting to see the page I wanted, loaded, instead I get the little circle and still have to wait for it to load. Why is Firefox doing this?

I have a problem in that bookmarks seem to have completely stopped working for me. I am not an expert in today's IT though a very long time ago I was. I am 81 and have incurable cancer and am confined to my home in a chair. I use FF many hours a day and I have a very structured set of tens of thousands of bookmarks. I use FF on a Windows 7 laptop. I am a contributor to Mozilla. A couple of days ago I noticed that I could not save new bookmarks. I then checked and found that I could not backup my bookmarks as either json or html. I reinstalled FF but these problems are still there. Today I have tried looking at your support information. I looked at your troubleshooting information. I copied raw data to the clipboard and out it into a MS Word file. I put FF into troubleshoot mode. I cleared the startup cache, after which I could add new bookmarks but not save any backups. I then refreshed FF and of course I then lost the first draft of this message . The refresh took quite a long time to complete, but it did. Afterwards I can still not use bookmarks. If I add a subfolder into them, I complete the process, the subfolder is added, but if I then sort the fold so that the subfolder is in place, nothing happens. If I go through the motions of backing them up, nothing happens. I see the following options open to me: 1 Buy a Windows 11 laptop, which I’m not keen on, and run FF on that. I have a windows 10 desktop available in another room, but I have no wish to be on the slippery downslope to eternally paying Microsoft for my computing. 2 Try and revert to an earlier version of Firefox. 3 Move to another browser, though for this and option 1, how to migrate my current set of bookmarks is an outstanding issue. I would greatly appreciate advice on how to get a functioning Firefox version back on my laptop. Yours, Jon

I cannot login to my aol email account on firefox desktop. All was fine before I turned pc off to go on holiday for 10 days. I can login on edge chrome etc

Have tried the usual things like clearing cache etc but not sucess

Please help I use fire fox for all my business so need to get access on it for aol emails

Hi. I've been using ESR115 on Windows 7 64bit for a while now, at lease since Chase.com enhanced their online banking browser requirements. But now, Nov 6th, Chase.com updated their online banking site, yet again. ESR115 no longer works. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case an update to ESR115 is needed.

I tried to update to a newer ESR version but nothing is available. I'll probably have to buy a new PC since this mobo doesn't have a TPM chip and I'd rather go to Win11 than to Win10. Thanks!

On homesnap web site I get a pop-up window for homes.com. I can't get back to homesnap & I can't get rid of the window to redirect to homes.com. What can I do? Thanks

My Windows 10 PC stopped working a few days & is disconnected & partially disassembled. I’m temporarily using an old Windows 7 PC which I brought up from the basement the following day. They both have Firefox on them.

I saved one bookmark on the Win7 PC today. It was there when I looked earlier. Now I went to use it again & it’s not there. But my Win10 bookmarks are there!!

How could that be?

I'm still using windows professional 7, it works for the most part. Unfortunately often the browser won't load or it will load and runs very slowly, then it shows a box saying close previous firefox. When it is running slowly I often have to hit the browser many times until the box shows up saying close previous firefox. Is this something to do with windows 7 or another completely different issue.

I go to Central Pacific Bank's website and try to pay my bills, but when I click on "Pay bills" it does not do anything. Before it would go to pay bills. Now when I click it does not respond. There website is not responding. So I try on America Online browser and no problem. I can pay my bills. How come with Firefox it now does not work? This is the second time I am having problem with Firefox and it is becoming annoying. What's the problem?

Just a couple of quick questions for CSS coding as of Firefox 115:

What CSS code refers to the shield, padlock, permissions, or all other toolbar buttons in the address bar?

When using control to select multiple tabs, what code refers to the outline and text color of the tabs?

When trying to download a college lecture, instead of downloading, the file opens and runs in a new tab. In General Settings "Save files to" is set to "Downloads" and "MP3 file (audio/mp3)" is set to Save File. This worked fine for several years until the last few months. It currently works correctly in my Chrome browser, but I prefer using Firefox.

With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update.
