I got a new Acer laptop with windows 11 (64bit). I downloaded FF but when I open it, it just gives a blank page. If I type in an address nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work

How do I download an excel spreadsheet without having to save it? Is this a "new feature" or a bug. I was able to do it previously but now it makes me save all excel spreadsheets before I can open them.

Please assist Nearly most sites I visit,a DOWNLOAD appears & if I open it,Firefox tells me that it is not associated with any of it files & it is isallmytube protocols If I search for isallmytube,it tells me it is associated with WONDERSHARE 7 I do not have that program on my computer It is very annoying Can you please advise me how I can get rid of it thanks Darryl

I am disappointed with the background change with updates. The last time I updated Firefox, I had to do a system recovery to revert back. Then another person expressed concerns with a new version taking control over updating. Why don't you have updates that give you options to choose the background color and who decides if and when you update? I will not update Firefox under these conditions. And I don't want to spend half a day trying to change my background back to white, and especially if would have to do that with every update. Like I have to change my printing options when I do updates! I have been so happy with Firefox for the last 20 yrs. or so, until all of this. Please make this more user friendly and optional.

Tried to dl for my iMac "El Capitan" version 10.11.6 a dozen times but no go. Any chance of me getting the old version for my antique? I sent a screen shot below. Thanking you in advance, Ed

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have been using Firefox for a while now, I'm very happy with thee browser and have recommended all my firends use it instead of Chrome.

However, this morning, after the recent update, I have found I am unable to upload or download anything on any website using Firefox.

I have tested it using Safari and I can download images perfectly fine there. Even using extensions on FF, nothing is happening.

Please get back to me as soon as you get this

I just installed the latest Version of Firefox 101.0 for Windows 10. Then when I tried to download a pdf file from my yahoo mail I received the following message: "Problem loading page" Firefox Can’t Open This Page To protect your security, dl-mail.ymail.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window. Learn more… Open Site in New Window Report errors like this to help Mozilla identify and block malicious sites

So, in order to open the page I have to press "Open Site in New Window"

Please advice why happened this issue and how can be fixed.

Hello Today I've installed Windows 11 and tried migrate my firefox data from old windows 10 to new windows 11 by online account, after login into my firefox account I've noticed all my bookmarks,tab,password,history etc gone. I don't understood why ... I never had problems like this before . when I logged and sync on another device I had all my data from firefox account... Could you please help me with that

I have been using Firefox for 64bit Windows (now Win 11) for years. Occasionally, when I open Firefox a message will appear informing me that a new version is available, and it gives me a choice to download it or not. I normally select not to download it, and instead go to Help/About which then automatically checks my version to determine whether or not it is up to date. Lately, that has not been working properly, or at least not the same as it used to work.

Today the message opened to tell me a new version was available. I closed that message, and went to Help/About which showed my current version, 100.0.1, is "up to date". So I then went to the mozilla website, and found that there is a later version, 101.0, available. As you can see by that the auto check in Help/About seemed to not have worked correctly. So, wanting to be up to date, I attempted to download the new 101.0 version. When I clicked on Download it immediately displayed the message, "Your download was interrupted. But all is not lost. Your system may not meet the requirements for Firefox, but you can try one of these versions."

No matter how many times I tried, it continued to give me that message without allowing me to download the 101.0 version. So I went back to Help/About to try that again. It still said my version 100.0.1 is "up to date". I started over on Moxilla.org, and instead of immediately trying to download I clicked on "See Release Notes". That displayed the release notes for 101.0, and when I clicked on "Windows 64 Bit" in that screen it did download the Firefox installer which I saved to my hard drive.

I then ran that Firefox installer which informed me that Firefox was already installed, and suggested I update it instead which I accepted. The installer supposedly did it's thing, but now when I go to "Help/About Firefox" it shows that I still have version 100.0.1 installed AND it is still "up to date".

So what gives? Is there really a new, 101.0, version? If so how do I update to it?

How do I turn off the automatic desktop download? Every time I open a file it downloads it to my desktop without permission. This is beyond irresponsible and dangerous to the end user. I assume you have a team standing by to assist in removing virus' and restoring people's computers.

Basically, a requested relaunch blanked my profile and I can't get it back.

I have a lengthy workaround that will take over an hour to fix from backups, before this incident, but I'd really like to understand what's going on. How can my add-ons, bookmarks, history, logins, etc. be gone? If I did a refresh on purpose, why would my shortcuts remain intact? And, I started by backing up my profile folder to a neutral spot, so why isn't replacing it reversing the changes?

As background: The "about:profiles/Restart With Add-ons disabled" button brings up a small button dialogue to choose "refresh" or default "open." I selected "open" because I didn't want to fix my profile and assumed I would relaunch with only add-ons disabled, so this was a potential point of screw-up. I assume selecting "refresh" would reset application defaults and make a mess exactly like I find myself in now. Shouldn't "Restart with Add-ons disabled/Open" relaunch a temporary and reversible state? Doesn't "refresh" prompt a new default profile?

Considering evidence only, it appears I did something to roast my profile before I backed it up, but that's strange and really out in the weeds, and I'm assuming I wrecked it with my current activity.

The default profile name and path are correct. My shortcut links and labels that I use for a home page are intact but with icons missing, the same appearance as if I deleted the cache; is this detail part of application settings and not profile?

I've got my bookmarks back, but not my history, or my tabs, or my Tab Groups (I've got a new Version of the Extension, see https://github.com/drive4ik/simple-tab-groups, but I don't know where to look to find the original data, or how to import it when I do find it.)

On the other hand, I have this now: - WITH Submit buttons! However they are changing to Failed when I try to submit them - one step forward, one step back, SIGH!

My desktop computer had a meltdown requiring a new hard drive and re-installation of Firefox. Upon installation I was asked for an authentication code but I have never put the two step process in place.

I'm then asked for a 10 digit number provided when setting up my account. I set my account up multiple years ago and have an alpha numeric code which does not work.

I can still access my account on my laptop - just cant reinstall on my desktop.

OS - Windows 10 - up to date, downloaded yesterday. Same with Firefox.

Suggestions?
