why does firefox open 15 sessions in task manager when i openy have 5 windows open!!

its seems rediculous the software opens 3 times the amount of windows i have open

s u c k i n g THE HELL OUT of memory and cpu

i can understand DOUBLE the amount BUT TRIPLE???? give me a brake!

I keep getting a message that says on YouTube "experiencing interruptions, find out why?'. The videos pause and are choppy. When I click find out why, it's telling me to turn off my high resolution. I don't even know how to do this. My tower is connected to a samsung hd smart tv, that serves as my monitor. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse. The message is constant - all day long, every day. Can you please help me fix this problem. I am a paying member of YouTube Premium. Thank you.

Firefox is my go to browser, pretty much the only one I use. I have logged into the akc.org webpage 1000s of times. Now, only on your browser (I tested two others), I get a blue button with a padlock image that reads "login to AKCAD," the I get sent to microsoft. I made sure my microsoft account was not hacked and it is not, and I logged out of it. I still keeping getting this; I added the succession of what happens in the attached images. Please figure out what the issue is. Thank you!

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

I'm experiencing a problem when I visit certain websites, like 'https://mui.com/x/react-data-grid/'. Every time I try to access this site, the page starts an infinite reloading loop, preventing me from using the website normally.

So I’m looking at a help document in a web page. It tells me to push this button or that. So I go the affected app and try to find the button mentioned in the help file. Can’t find it, so return to Firefox to re-read the help file. The window is gone. I can find the tab for it, so I can open it pretty quick, but why do I have to? Why does that window have to close? This is yet another reason to switch from Firefox to something else.

I've tried to login to Falcon using my usual Firefox browser and it's struggling to load and just whirling around.

It was working fine before Christmas, so has been an update from Mozilla that's causing an issue and do you have any recommended fixes.

I just had to reinstall Firefox because It keeps trying to take over Firefox. I had to delete Cert9.db., I found in my Profile.

How would I solve this problem permanently without having to go back and troubleshoot over and over again?

I have reinstalled and refreshed the app many times, but whenever I try to search something, it says "An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. This happens with every single search on every website, not just google.

This problem occurred recently and it's quite a pain in the ass. I'm using Macbook Pro 14 inches with M1 Max chip. Lately when I work, I have to open quite many urls at the same time, and my mac went crazy hot because of firefox's insane cpu usage. I tried what's suggested to turn off the acceleration mode, but still, nothing changes.

Is there still anything I can do to resolve it? or I just switch to other browser?

Hi, I used to be able to go to my email with Foxfire Mozilla with one click. Now I have to go to gmail, click on user name, insert my password twice, and then go to my phone to click on "yes, it is me" and sometimes before that enter a code, and then go to update securty all before I can read my email. I don't need any of this; I am the only user of my account and the only person who uses my computer. I am very unhappy with this. Also, just recently I now have lots of popups, most about music. It isn't even advertising, that I could understand, just annoying boxes of useless information that I have to dismiss. What is going on?,

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. Firefox has always maintained that current tabs will be restored after a reboot of the browser, and indeed that was the case for the first half-dozen years I've been a subscriber. That has not been the case for the past 4 - 6 months however. I have the correct Settings for this, so it is not on my end. Why do I always get a fresh Firefox browser whenever I update the version (which is quite regular lately . . . maybe a new version of Firefox every 3 weeks). Please help.

I open a website (opentable.com) and it opens momentarily then the screen goes blank white. I can open the site using microsoft edge.

Something has changed as this previously was not a problem

UbuntuStudio 22.04 uses the Firefox Snap package by default. The latest automatic update does not display pages correctly in normal mode, but does work correctly on Safe Mode. Snap.io lists only the latest version of Firefox so I was unable to ask snap to revert to the previous release (prior to 5 Mar 24) and by the time I had tried to investigate the previous version was no longer cached. I did not see a way to force a fresh download of firefox from the latest channel on snap.io.

I tried the snap beta channel for v124, but that exhibited the same problems.

I tried adding a symbolic link to colors.css after seeing firefox complaining that it could not be found when started from the command line. That removed the error/warning message but did not clear the problem with normal mode.

I use the en-GB locale extension only. The technical details about my PC are as follows:

I have now downloaded v123 and installed it in my local home directory, and that version is working well. I have removed the firefox channel via snap. It is likely to be a fault in the construction of the snap for v123 that was not present for v122 prior to 5 Mar 24.
