Hi there,

When using my Thinkpas X13s trackpoint to scroll 'sideways' with the Trackpoint+middle mouse button (i.e. from left to right) a new blank Firefox window opens up. So, when trying to scroll downwards all is well but the slight deviation and Firefox opens many new windows. I mean, many (like 5, because of the 'continuous' scroll).

Community solutions have as of yet not brought any luck. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I have been using firefox for a while but recently stopped working at first i thought it was connection issues, but, that isnt the case. I have had to update my mac to macos monterey 12.6 and firefox refuses to load any website. Keeps saying the connection has timed out and following message:

. This site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. . If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. . If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

It's frustrating. Any help on this please?!

I have an issue where I can upload a video to OneDrive and it plays back at a very low resolution in Firefox, both via double clicking and using Stream. The problem persists in safe mode. If I download the video, it comes back at full resolution and it streams perfectly in Chrome and Safari.

I have cleared cached web content. I also recently had an issue with lip sync on YouTube, which I resolved by refreshing Firefox, but the above remains.

Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I always had this problem in firefox: some extensions don't load during the first visit to a website but only after I reload the page, for example I get that the SponsorBlock extension doesn't load when I open a youtube video for the first time, probably this problem occurs on extensions that operate on specific sites like youtube, twitch because with extensions like uBlock I didn't have this problem. I have tried activating the extensions I have one at a time but the problem still occurs

I recently moved into my partners parents house temporarily and their ISP set up is less than ideal but usable. Since moving in we've had a few hiccups with the internet and initially narrowed it down to google searches.

The graphs below are my internet activity with a couple tabs open and a stream to just get a consistent graph for pre-googling and then post-googling, the connection hitching continues until i close and reopen firefox which obviously is inconvenient. (I've been making do with bing in the meantime and it is really beyond parody how bad it actually really is.)

On a whim today I tried googling something in chrome to see if it'd do the same thing and it doesn't, which is great because this went from just a bizarre isp issue to a potential bug which can hopefully be fixed.

I have an HP Omen and am running Win 10. For several days, every time I try to do something, even just type, a black box opens and I can't close it on the first five or six tries. It's like the black box with the list of choices that starts with "Open in New Tab." It brings up all kinds of black boxes, and I haven't done anything to the computer, upgrading or anything. I know very little and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I tried using troubleshoot mode and the crashes happened on there too. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, created a new account, removed and added my extensions back on, restarted my computer, and yet the issue keeps persisting. The browser doesn't prompt me to send in a crash report when this happens either, it's only the tabs not the browser itself that repeatedly crashes.

Hi! For the last ~3 days I've been having a problem that is getting increasingly frequent where tabs will, sometimes even after having previously been loaded and sometimes brand new tabs, turn blank and feature only a small loading animation at the centre of the page.

Reopening the url in another tab doesn't work, but the sites will work on Chrome and it's not limited to any one website, it's happened with youtube, google, reddit, fb, random blogs etc. Sometimes it will even happen in the middle of using a website.

I haven't added any new extensions since before the troubles started, and I tried disabling them all to no avail. I'm not really sure what's going on, though I am to assume that the pages are somehow hanging but I checked the processes page and it didn't seem to be an issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not have to move back to chrome.

I know this has been addressed before, but I cannot find a solution that resolved the problem. Firefox is using a high percentage of ram and setting up individual resource demands for each tab. I have cleared the cache and refreshed Firefox with no resolution. At times this will freeze my computer if I have a lot of tabs open. I have compared the tab resources between Firefox, Avast Secure Browser and Edge. The other two use no where near as much resource.

I am running a Lenovo P1 I7 processor with 16GB RAM

Attached are images of the resources from both about:processes and Advanced System Care.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

I'm running Firefox 111.0.1 on a 2021 MacBook Pro running OS 13.0.1. I'm suddenly unable to load eBay; all efforts result in a blank white page whose tab indicates it's trying to load. I cleared my cache of all eBay data and restarted Firefox--alas, to no avail. Please don't tell me to look for the shield in the upper left-hand corner--one needs to have a loaded page in order to do that.

Incidentally, I REALLY appreciate not only being informed that my Subject field needs at least five characters but that as it stood, "(it has four)." Thanks for assuming that I lack the inability to handle single-digit cardinals.

I accessed the RedHat 7 Administrator Guide (in PDF form) from a RedHat web page. Firefox shows it as 603 (or so) pages long. If I print it from my Windows 11 Acer laptop from Firefox, somewhere between 40 and 58 pages print. The times that Firefox pretends that the document is 58 pages long, there is an error pop-up (attached) - an error message that provides absolutely no useful information. Other times, there is no error message, but only the first pages of the document print. In "normal" (not debugging mode), the Windows 11 printer status page shows the page status as a fraction, with the denominator climbing as Firefox seems to be stepping through the pages of the document, and with the numerator seemingly climbing as pages are sent to the printer (on my LAN). The denominator stops at between 40 and 58 pages. If I run Firefox in debug mode, the status shows only one number. Judging by its speed, I assume that it's the number of pages sent to the printer. If I copy the same pdf document to, say, my CentOS Linux 5.8 box and print it with lpr, the entire document prints. If I open the document (on the WIndows 11 box) with Bing, it prints many pages. [I stopped the print job after 70 pages or so. I don't KNOW if it would print the whole document, but it gets farther than FIrefox does.] It doesn't matter if I print from the Firefox print dialog or the system/driver one. And, both are set to print ALL pages of the document.

I am a long time (decades) user of Firefox. I run Firefox on Macbook, Android, iPad, and Windows 10. One of the features I use a lot, is the sending of tabs from one device to another. Mostly with the iPad being the target. Recently, Firefox crashed on the iPad. Not a problem, I thought. Firefox has crashed before and machines running Firefox have crashed before. Firefox has always nicely restored tabs that were open at the time of the crash. Not so after this crash on the iPad. Selecting the button to restore tabs did not restore anything. I quickly opened the tabs that were synchronised from the iPad on my Macbook. Firefox on the iPad had lost the way altogether. There were 3 entries in the synchronisation database for it now, two with identical name. Sending tabs to the ipad could only be done to the wrong name. Renaming the machine on the iPad did not result in corrections, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox on the iPad. This did not correct the issues, so I deleted the iPad Firefox devices (all for the same device) from the Macbook. That worked. After that I set up the proper name for the device on the iPad, and sync and sending tabs worked again. The next problem was that web pages that worked before did not open in Firefox on the iPad any more. Some cookie settings pages worked alright. The cookie settings page for my newspaper did not work any more. No way at all to get to those settings. The pages for my newspaper also did not load to the end any more, making Firefox on the iPad quite useless for me. I have tried several things, including uninstalling and installing again, deleting all web content from within Firefox, restarting the iPad, … Nothing solves these problems. What I noted during all these actions in Firefox on the iPad is that most of the time the Settings -> Data Management -> Web Site Data acttion kept showing a little thingy going round and round and round and round. I have only seen web site data there once. Anyway, since it looks as if Firefox does not work any more on my iPad and is not restorable, it seems, I am now switching to Chrome. I find this very disappointing, as I really like (a working) Firefox as my browser. Nice features, good privacy, works everywhere (until recently). Not withstanding that, I do need a good, functional browser. So, for the moment I am switching to the Google Chrome browser. Because I use the sending of tabs between device very frequently, I am going to switch on all my devices. I really hope to hear in the near future that the iPad issues for Firefox are fixed. Good chance that I will then switch back to Firefox.
