How can I set my location in Firefox. I know better than anyone on the web where I am located, and Firefox is locating me hundreds of miles away, so I just want to set the Zip code for my actual location. Thanks for any advice! -Harry

Before the recent 1-2 updates, pdfs,pictures and .torrent meta files used to get saved in temp folder which I LOVED very much. Recently these are getting save in my download folder instead of saving in the temp folder.

I changed this setting to allows ask. Still the files are getting saved in the download folder after opening.

Please assist me to resolve this issue. Thanks.

Firefox has started making a piercing high-pitched screech when the "save image" and "file update" panels appear. This is a confirmation or alert sound I suppose. It occurs when saving an image from a right-click menu and when downloading a file. Formerly Firefox used the system default sound for this, and that sound is still working in other programs for similar operations.

How can I fix this? Or alternatively how can I disable the sound during such operations in Firefox (or alternatively system-wide)?

Win7 x64P , FF110.0 (64-bit) I am trying to change the image for a 'new tab' shortcut so I can recognize it visually , the only option I see is to select a URL for the image. (local image would be handy)

I uploaded image to drive.google & shared, inserted the link & save. But is shows just blank.
It shared it properly & tested when logout.

I have installed IBM Security Trusteer Rapport to my recent Lenova laptop..

But I cannot seem to be able to, or be allowed to, add IBM Security Trusteer Rapport to my Firefox browser (100.0.1 version) but it appears immediately in my Edge browser next to the address box. I have used Firefox for many years and it is my default browser.

My bank (Santander UK) strongly recommend this addon as it provides encryption protection.

Has Moxilla barred it from Firefox but if not, how can it be added? There is no way I can see to add Santander UK (or any other UK bank) manually to Rapports list of protected bank sites.

My use case is the following. I use Firefox Developer Edition for developing websites. Usually the development happens on a certain part of the page. Most of the times it is not on the top of the page, so you have to scroll down to it.

Sometimes when the page is refreshed a jump to the top happens. So then I need to scroll down again. It takes a lot of time and concentration away if it happens dozens of times a day.

It often happens after I did some changes to the files on the page. It usually does not happen when I refresh the page a couple of times (when I purpously want to reproduce this problem).

I did try running Firefox in Safe mode, but it didn't help.

What can be done to fix this problem on my side? Is this a bug in Firefox itself?

before the update, i was using a custom theme, and it behaved similarly to the normal dark theme. as in, when i opened a new tab, it was dark, and stuff like that. now that firefox has crashed and i've had the update involuntarily forced upon me, i'm still using the custom theme, but now it behaves as the light theme. is there any way to fix this? i don't appreciate being blinded whenever i open a new tab or adjust my settings.

See above on Subject = inability on my laptop with Firefox provider to watch certain dramas/films on 4 due to DRM. My problem is trying to follow the instructions hitherto given. I just want to be able to access those sites with DRM overlordship getting in the way. I am an old man who is simple-minded, that is, not 18 years and adept at whizzing around laptops.

HOW do I stop searches from happening in the URL box? This is DRIVING ME CRAZY. The URL box is not long enough to show complete results and mouse over does not work either, so I PREFER to TAKE THE RISK and search from the search box on the middle of the home page. WHY has FF taken this control away from us? If it is a security issue, I would take the risk as the current problem makes the search suggestions limited in value since you cant see the complete suggestion UNLESS you go to the site

There is an application which is launched by a script in Firefox. Basically it launches a print job. Unfortunately the application can't launch since Firefox says "User Gesture is Required". We temporarily added a button for a user gesture to be recorded but ultimately we don't want this button here. Is there any setting where we can bypass this "User Gesture is Required" check?

In both Firefox and Thunderbird Is there a way to change the default print dialog back to the system dialog rather than the one-stop printing option? I was able to change this setting in previous versions of both but since updating, I can not locate the setting or remember how to do it. Thank you

In the past, when ICS files were in a mail, I had been asked what to do, and could open them in OUTLOOK. This option has been apparently cancelled and it only asks where to save the file, without any option to open it directly. Furthermore, when I try to modify it in the "settings" and change it to "Always ask" I can't find no ICS files nor OUTLOOK SCHEDULE files. Please advice. Thanks

Your information on blocking Facebook's popup notifications is way out of date. Directions impossible to follow because they are not available on Facebook. How about an answer that works on the current version of Facebook?

Hi guys. So, I have Avira free antivirus. Can I still install for example Norton web security addon for Firefox? Will there be any problems between my installed antivirus and the Norton addon? I deleted cookies, and now when I open firefox, it doesn't reload my default email tabs at the top of the screen. I use 3 email accounts. And now when I open firefox, I'm having to log into them every time.
