I am not sure when exactly problem started but for few months I have problem with automatic update of firefox. It properly detects update and downloads it but when I click to restart browser and apply update (this should close browser and display update install bar) nothing happens - browser simply closes. When I launch it again and go into "about firefox" again I see spinning circle next to "installing update". Of course this update never installs. When I close it for 2nd time and go into "about firefox" it goes back to "update ready to install, click to restart" - and again, when I click it browser simply closes without restarting and installing update. I tried removing my profile, using safe mode, disabling antivirus. Issue seems to be related to firefox itself. I also tried removing mozilla maintenance service but it did not help. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? For now only way for me to update firefox is manually download full installer from website and then it installs latest version without any problems - until next month comes and I have to update it again.

Suddenly I cannot open my msn.com email service. I just get a blank page. I opened Chrome and the email opened promptly. Could it have become Blocked...if so, where would the list be, OR where can I check to see if that is the case. All other tabs open just fine

My update preference for Firefox is to download but I will install it. But it consistenly (over the last numerous updates) changes it to Automatic. I do not want Automatic updates. I want to control when it updates. I do not see this issue addressed anywhere. I have checked numerous times. Please help! My sincere thank you for your time and attention to my request for help. I bought a second laptop. The second laptop keeps insisting on a master password to sync passwords with my first. I have NEVER set up a master password on my first and I am stuck! There is no option to import from the SAME browser. My first laptop keeps downloading a CSV file that my second refuses to acknowledge that it IS a CSV file.

Firefox (on 2nd laptop) asks me if i want to save passwords and autofill, I always say yes BUT ZERO autofill. Back to the paper age. I have had to write down my pass words from my first and write them in every time. I have run every malicious software and sacn can I can find.

Ideas anyone please.

I will be receiving a new HP Laptop to replace a 2013 Dell Inspiron desktop and would like to to transfer my Firefox browser, settings and bookmarks when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Can you help with the easiest way for me, who has some knowledge but not the greatest at Tech. ? Thank you !

Hi, My computer died and I can't access it. I tried to sync firefox but it wont let me as I did not have my original password. All of my personal medical links and billing links are bookmarked there. Is there any hope to get it to sync?
