Hi, Generally I'm checking, if I will manage to migrate from the Vivaldi to Firefox...

But I have the first issue, which is: When I click (not spin!) the middle mouse button on the page to scroll (like it is in Windows), then it has too great sensitivity. It goes like crazy up and down, I didn't see any other browser which implemented it this way. Can this sensitivity be somehow lowered?

I will repeat just in case, I'm not talking about spinning the mouse wheel, but clicking it.

I used to use Firefox about 19 years or more The last two years..... FireFox was enable the auto-translate of Youtube videos in Arabic language automatically ........ Then it stopped working since four months

I thought that the "Improve Youtube extension" was the reason. I contacted the developer and said:

Its misunderstanding of the feature :( afaik as is today Improve Youtube will use the subtitle language to switch on CC if its provided in this language by video author, it doesnt switch auto-translate. Ill look into making it enable auto-translate if requested CC is missing.

Today I noticed that all videos have Arabic CC ..... Mmm, the feature has returned to work again! without any interference from me In order... to make sure the reason...... I disable all my FireFox extensions, and it is surprising that the automatic translation is still working and I recorded a video to see for yourself how to work directly once you enter the video

In your opinion, what is the explanation for that?

I know that YouTube has options for displaying / enable auto-translate always ... but it is only for the English language .... I am talking about the translation of the Arabic language in all videos Sooooo A feature from YouTube itself or what? And if it was, why did it stop in the past four months, and now it has returned to work?

Lets say I have xyz.abc as a pinned page, now when I keep xyz.abc as homepage in settings, on reopening the browser it opens a new tab rather than the one that I have Pinned.

How do i make it so that it doesn't open a new page rather directs me to the pinned page when I open ze browser.

I have numerous profiles, and I have certain ones used to transfer updated files to the others.

The one thing I'm not sure about is browser settings transfer. Because some these profiles have different addons, I don't want their settings transferred, just the browser settings.

Which folder/file can I safely transfer for this?

I have a lot a devices. I would like the majority of settings/etc to be synced with my account but I would also like to be able to have some add-ons excluded. For example I use Persepolis download manager for the devices that support it but not all my devices support it. Result is I have to toggle active addon every time I switch devices as it syncs.

To the Firefox volunteers, developers, moderators, or whoever might read this that is willing and able to do something about it: Provide a means for end users to place the Tabs below the Bookmarks on screen.

I know there are ways , with more clicks or longer shortcuts to get to some folders but this is the main and most easily accessible way to get to my bookmarks. I know this has been discussed in some older posts but they are all archived so I can't ask any questions there. Sorting by name, for me, is quite inconvenient as sometimes the bookmarks title isn't immediately, easily remembered. Thanks.

Usually when I start my browser for the first time, I have the Firefox homepage only. For two weeks ago, suddenly an extra tab show up when starting: A page with a commercial for installing "Avast Online Security & Privacy (Add to Firefox-button)".

I use Avast, but I don't want this add-on. And I certainly don't want that extra tab every time I start my pc.

I have three times searched for a solution all over in the Mozilla & Avast settings and on the net: I should go to "Add-ons and themes" - "Extensions" - and on the list "Manage Your Extensions" I should remove this add-on - but it's not there of course, because I didn't install it.

So how do I remove this tab from showing at start-up? (Google Search can't help) Appauling that someone put this tab on my pc in the first place. Both Avast and Mozilla have other ways to communicate with me about that add-on, if needed. Now I had to shut it down every day for two weeks, because I was way too busy to write you until now.

I can't change the language my websites are being displayed in. I changed every setting to english but websites like instagram and youtube are still showing in croatian (because I live in Croatia). I will attach a couple of pictures to prove it.

Can anyone finally explain to me how can I get rid of the most annoying Google pop up screen in my Mozilla browser? I am unable to find a straight answer, everyone is suggesting some sort of plugin that blocks popups but it didn't work for me.

I'm amazed, just AMAZED I can't find the answer to this with a simple google search, or searching the questions here, and I re-worded my search several times. All the answers I could find, even chatGPT (I know it's not alway sup to date) told me to use this option even though I specifically told it it wasn't there, is anyone aware that sometimes the option isn't there? What gives? Not blaming anyone specifically, but this a really simple question, I'm I the first person it's ever happened to?

I'm trying to fix a sound problem where videos will not play, and this is a suggested step. The sound on youtube videos plays with Google Chrome, so it's not my sound drivers, just with firefox it doesn't play. One of the steps as well was the clear my info, I cleared everything except history, I wished there was a way to back those up, I'll look it up.

Starting firefox in safe mode doesn't fix the problem either.

This problem has just resurfaced. In a nutshell, when I type "Lost IMDb" or "Tyson Wiki" in the URL bar and hit enter, that would take me straight to that page of that site. So "Lost IMDb" and enter would take me here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411008/

Now it takes me to random search results like so: https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=lost+imdb

Similar to "I'm feeling lucky" Google search is what I want back. When FF got rid of "Keyword.URL" search, I had to use an add-on such as: Google Browse by Name search engine to get similar results. Now also that has stopped working lately.

Can anyone help me get that type of search result back please?

I am on a unstable internet connection and while trying to download a large file it gets often interrupted. By default Firefox deletes the .part file and I am forced to again download from zero. Is there a config that I could change so Firefox keeps .part files so I could continue resuming the interrupted download?

I've just noticed whilst writing a blog on wordpress that my firefox built in spellchecker is no longer working. It no longer works on wordpress. It no longer works on any other page, including this one. Here is an example sdhflakshfldfjl - included in the files below. Thanks in advance.

One of the main reasons I use Firefox is the ability to enter the address bar and press "Tab" to go to the next option instead of pressing the down arrow like in some other browsers. The problem I'm encountering is when I want to get to something further down the list, it's all of the sudden tabbing to this little 3 dot menu that has "Remove from history" and "Learn More".

I use this feature a lot to visit past pages for researching, so I'm wondering is this 3 dot menu new? Is there a way to disable it? I've attached a screenshot to hopefully more clearly describe what I'm talking about.
