latest 124.0.2 causing severe problems, it will near instantly bloat to fill all RAM and SWAP even in safe mode causes system load over 24! only solution is to reboot very problematic on for ex: https://epg.pw/xmltv/epg_CA.xml hard to get a screencap since system is nearly totally unresponsive. RAM is ok SSD is ok MX Linux is ok

Hello, I'm using samsung odyssey g7 32' monitor connected to my laptop with a rtx 2060. The monitor is connected with a minidisplay port to display port cable. The problem doesn't occur on the laptop screen but it does on the samsung screen. The flickering stops when i make the window a little smaller. I am using KDE plasma 6.0.3 but the problem was also present when i was using Hyprland as my desktop enviroment. I tried troubleshoot mode but nothing changed. I am seeking help. Thanks.

I find it very difficult using Awsome screenshot, in fact I never use it, but used to use it, when it was on my tool bar, can I get it back there.

I cannot drag it from "customise tool bar" as it does not show there, it shows in my list of add ons, I have tried removing it, then reinstalling it.

 One of my email accounts Yahoo or Gmail appears to have been hacked. I received two phishing emails this week --3 if you count the last one who said she was calling on behalf of Medicare/Social Security and All members could get a preloaded card for several hundred dollars. I knew there was a plan to help certain folks, but it was not available to everybody. I asked her for the name of the plan and she hung up. the webpage she sent me to first or told me to go there where I could talk to a licensed agent. Do people who answer the phone have a license like insurance salespeople? Anyway, they had copied the govt. the site is right up the US sea.

They then ask you to send them a picture ID as in Driver's License. Noway I am going to do this --so I have at least some pretty valuable info if I can't get in.

I am trying to use a <select> tag to display a color selector. So each <option> has a background color to match its displayed text:

On Chrome this displays as expected:

How can I get Firefox to display the background colors?

Recent issue, April 2024. Had version 124 Firefox on Win10 computer and went to Help - > About to have Firefox check for updates. This has worked just fine up until now. The message "Failed to check for updates." is shown in the About screen. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox with the same results. Have also un-installed Firefox, un-installed Mozilla Maintenance, then removed Firefox data from App Data folder in user directory, then re-installed with the same results. Also, now when I access a local media server, I keep getting the message "Firefox is installing components needed" and that never goes away. Any ideas?

So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

Can someone please answer how to reset firefox size after you've been using a bigger screen and go back to the laptop the top bar is lost way up and I cant catch it to move it to resize the firefox window. Using Fn and F11 to go into maximize mode doesnt help me at all cuz I end up in full screen on the FHD screen but cant grab and drag the window to resize it again - and please NO comments about using FN and F11 again. This is an issue thats been since years - cant figure out why ppl who are tryin to help think others dont know the difference between maximization and the window being bigger than the laptop screen and being lost. So FIREFOX key-shortcut for window size reset URGENT PLEASEEEE - Im having this issue couple times a week. To fix it I gotta go again to the bigger screen reduce the size of the window and then disconnect - which is soooo horrible.

The RAM usage increases, from 1GB to 40GB+ within a matter of minutes of starting Firefox. I have not added any extensions in months. I turned of several with no improvement. I have 6 tabs opened. Firefox has crashed several times the past couple fo months. I have been away on travel for 2 weeks, and today the problem is much worse.

Firefox (37916) 51GB, Extensions (34308) 370MB, GPU (33072) 298MB , and everything else < 100 MB.

I really love Firefox - use across my 4 devices. Only on my desktop am I seeing this. Laptop, iPad, and Android all work fine. Running Win 11

Hi, I did a clean install from win10 to win11, then installed firefox and logged in to my account but it havent synced anything? All my saved passwords and bookmarks are gone!?

Can someone please help me get them back! Does anyone have a solution for this?

Read something about that a backup is saved on your computer? Isnt saved to a cloud? Thats what a thought! I have done a clean install on a new drive, old drive i already wiped aswell! Doesnt have a windows.old dir or anything.

Please tell me everything isnt lost!

With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. Had to replace FF with Chrome in order to play DRM content on my W11 laptop. I get message saying you are downloading remedy, but nothing ever changes. Would prefer to continue 15+ year relationship with FF, but seems like youre abandoning capabilities for DRM video content?

Once updated Firefox all old tabs didn't open ( and it was not possible to restore them anymore). So I'd like to restore all old tabs of yesterday session. Really important for my work. Looking forward to hearing from you asap. Regards, Orlando.

I noticed that the snap version of Firefox had a lag issue when typing into input field. For example, when composing an email and wanting to use backspace to quickly delete a misspelled word, then backspace works slowly, stuttering and jittering. If I hold down a key in the input field it also lays the character down in a stuttery, slow way.

I tried reinstalling the system and that solved the issue. But it has returned again. Maybe it was an update. I also installed WINE and waybridge to get some windows plugins to work on my DAW. I don't know if that has affected it.

I also tried removing the snap version and installing firefox using the terminal but the problem persisted.

It's an annoying problem. Any advice appreciated.

Currently, I use Firefox version: 116.0.2 on Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS.

I encountered a phenomenon like this:

• When I logged in to the application, in the tab I was working on, the Firefox session memory was lost (don't open new tabs)

What is the cause of this phenomenon? How can I fix it?

My Firefox recently updated to version 124.0.2. Afterwards my taskbar shortcut broke, so I pinned a new one manually (right-clicked Firefox in start menu > open file location.) When I opened Firefox it had reset the primary profile to be default, so I changed it back to my BetterFox profile. Since then I've run into several oddities, such as Firefox crashing when it's running in the background, getting an error saying "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window," when I try to open it, invisible shortcuts in my taskbar(see image) and my bookmark visibility resetting from always to only in new tab every time I start up Firefox. Please help me.
