The 2 websites listed at the end of this post refuse to load. Both of them lock up with the spinning wheel that never goes anywhere. I have turned off Enhanced Tracking and I have refreshed the pages multiple times. Both websites are accessible via MS Edge. Can you please fix the glitch? The B&N website will display but refuses to accept any log in input (both manual data entry, BitWarden copy and paste entry, and BitWarden auto entry) Thank you. Problem websites are: https://www.citi.com/login?loginscreenId=ATTuniversal and https://www.barnesandnoble.com/

Computer is WIN 11 Dell and everything has been updated (FF, MS updates, Dell updates). Antivirus suite is AVG. Firewall settings have been double checked. Enhanced Tracking has been turned off.

Thank you. Laurie Selwyn

Hi, the FCC systems were down for over a week and they are back up and functioning. However, Firefox still shows the previous "system maintenance" page even though usage has been restored. Google Chrome is showing the most current version.

Here's an example of an FCC link that's not using the most current version. See how it looks in Firefox vs. Chrome. https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/ApplicationSearch/searchAppl.jsp

In Firefox 114.0.2, the tab foreground color for most NYTimes.com pages initially is black, but after an instant, the foreground color now becomes gray. The background color is a similar gray, so the tab symbol for the NYTimes (beginning with an ornate letter T) cannot be distinguished from the background. The NYTimes tab foreground color used to remain black.

For an example, go to https://www.nytimes.com/. The tab foreground colors for some NYTimes pages remain black; for example, go to https://help.nytimes.com/hc/en-us. I think this tab foreground color change began recently, less than a month ago. This problem does not occur for web sites other than the NYTimes. Restarting my computer does not help. This tab color problem does not occur in Edge or Chrome.

Thanks for any info

I really love Firefox and think it to be one of the best browsers but just there is one problem with it. It really uses a lot of my battery and ram of my Macbook air M1. The amount of battery usage is significantly higher compared to other browsers (Even about 10 times more!), It is my request to Mozilla to fix this problem. Firefox is really awesome but it uses a lot of resources.

Hi! I previously used Google Chrome, and would typically have multiple windows in fullscreen (different YouTube pages, for example). On Chrome, if I fullscreen multiple windows, and then escape the fullscreen for only one of them, the rest remain in fullscreen.

In Firefox, I enable the macOS fullscreen API, as I prefer my windows to enter the Mission Control space after fullscreening. When I then open multiple fullscreen windows, and escape only one of them, then ALL fullscreen windows also escape and return to normal size at the same time, whereas Chrome allows the rest of the windows to stay in fullscreen.

Is there any way around this such that it has the same behavior as Chrome? This is the only real issue that's holding me back from making the change to Firefox, so if there's any way to fix this, that'd be amazing! Thanks so much!

96 update has changed the colors at the top of the window. I have sight problems and can no longer read what it says in URL, etc. Anybody want to file an ADA lawsuit? Did they bother to have anyone who has sight issues test the changes? I went to the Windows settings and mine are unchanged. Why is Firefox overriding the Windows settings? I've used Firefox for years and have been generally happy with it, but I will have to switch browser if this change is not fixed. I have to be able to read it.

I've looked into this situation, and none of the solutions submitted online work.

I went to about:preferences, and set "security.certerrors.mitm.auto_enable_enterprise_roots" to false, but "security.enterprise_roots.enabled" is set to true and locked; I can't change it.

First of all, I am not using Avast, AVG, Kapersky, etc. antivirus; I'm using Win 10's built-in security suite, so it's not my antivirus causing it.

To double check that, I opened the Registry and went to " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\" and "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\", looking for a Mozilla\Firefox\Polices key, and neither one had any Mozilla keys.

I even checked the Autoconfig settings, and found no settings in the JS file that had anything to do with Enterpise Roots (I renamed the file temporarily to disable it), but I still can't disable security.enterprise_roots.enabled

I have no "Organization"; I'm an independent home user, so needless to say I'm concerned that Firefox is suddenly saying some organization is controlling my Firefox.

Before the search engine change to v57, I used to use an Extension called "Textarea Cache." It still works on Waterfox. If you lose text from an entry box & it isn't in the clipboard, Textarea Cache still saves it for recovery. Is there any extension in the current FireFox that does the same function?

I lost so many important extensions when FireFox upgraded that I mostly use WaterFox these days despite the better security of Firefox. Too many lost critical extensions that have no work-alike in post v.57 Firefox - like Classic Theme Restorer, All-in-One Sidebar, Vertical SideBar, etc.

FF would start to load but never completely finish so I forgot & stupidly did the troubleshooting mode or w/e that put me back to default so LOST all my settings, etc.. Strangely it's back "close" to normal except I was using Passbrow which the icon shows on toolbar but greyed out & I can't get it to turn back on. I have the "Old FF Data" folder but following the steps it doesn't show where profile is stored for me to be able to copy the old data TO. IF I can restore the old profile hopefully that would get it back working ALL as it was...but HOW??

I found that you can hold shift+delete, or hover over *search* suggestions and click the "..." to remove suggestions, but for the list of suggestions that appear when you simply click on the address bar to make it active, neither of these work and there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the settings that allow you to manually remove items from this list. There was a website that I visited very frequently over the last 1-2 years, that I do not need to visit pretty much ever again, it's at the very top of the suggestions every time I click the address bar even though I haven't visitted the website in months. There are other websites in there that I don't want, even if I do still visit them, I don't necessarily want or need them to be suggested. The only way I have found is to go into my history, search the domain name, and delete all traces of the website from my all-time history. This worked for the first website I mentioned, but I don't want to have to delete my history for each website I don't want in my suggestions. Long-term history can be extremely useful. Plus it's just a super janky way of doing something very basic that should be as simple as "Right click > Delete suggestion", especially as that already exists for search suggestions. Is there an obscure or hidden way of doing this that I may be missing?

When I found the shift+del method and the "..." method I spent a good 10 minutes not understanding why it wasn't working, thinking my FF was outdated as apparently these were added in version 113, but I am on 114 so that didn't make sense. It was only after a while that I discovered that search suggestions are apparently handled separately from the default suggestions shown when you simply click on the address bar. This doesn't seem all that streamlined, so I guess as a bonus feature suggestion: make it so that the same method applies to both types of suggestions? I assume feature suggestions don't go here so I might make an actual suggestion later...

Thanks.
