CVE-2024-4367 has been announced several days now with MITRE and CIS. There is also an issue/advisory on the github repo for PDF.js which appears that the fix has been merged into the master commit of PDF.js (https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-wgrm-67xf-hhpq).

The vulnerability is pretty serious and yet there is no Security Advisory from Mozilla on affected versions, etc. (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/)

Is this normal and I am just being impatient?

Can't log in to Regions Bank Account. Message: "We can’t locate that page right now." after typing in password Works fine on other browsers.

Problem started Maybe around mid April. Have 5 computers: 2 running Windows 10, 2 running Windows 7 Professional, 1 running Linux

I purchased a new computer, was finally able to download Firefox. When I go to use it, frigging Microsoft BING come up. How do I fix it? Thank you for your help. Susan

p.s. I am at work, the new computer is at home., The version of Firefox was downloaded yesterday and the operating system is Windows 11

My elderly client has enabled a “my tasks” sidebar in Gmail. He does not know how to turn it off. I have searched for an answer and have been unable to find one. Ctrl+B is not helpful and doesn’t bring up a screen where it says sidebar. Please help! He keeps asking about it and I am a caregiver, not a computer technician…

I've followed all the recommendations. Problem still happens in troubleshooting mode as well. Doesn't allow sign in either. Have reloaded all C++, uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted. No links or pages will open.

I am trying to get to the "clear cookies and Caches" which should be under Privacy & Security.

When I go to preferences, i can move to Privacy & Security or the other headings, but I cannot scroll down any of the pages under the headings. When I am on the Privacy & Security page the scroll down arrow takes me to Sync heading etc.

How do I fix this? I am having to go to the cookies to clean up as I am having another scroll down issue with an app that is important to me. In that I cannot scroll down a list as the dark side bar flicks on and off immediately.

I am on a MacBook Air.

hello when i write many cell code in google colab and then run all of them when output there and i want to scroll up from last cell code to go to top of page,i have lagging for scroll up in that and this problem just in firefox and in chrome is'nt problem thanks

I've noticed that when logging into various websites, a random email address not known to me appears in autofill among my usual email addresses. This unfamiliar address is under the @shanreto.com domain and shows up across different websites. My Firefox account is synced between my PC and mobile phone. Both devices are password-protected and under my control at all times, and I have only installed uBlock Origin as an extension.

Could there be any explanation other than the possibility of someone accessing one of my devices through malicious software or similar means?

bold textExperienced Firefox browser session freezes a month or two ago. It seemed that some March/April '24 fixes/patches stabilized the app. They are occurring again with increased frequency. What should I do to avoid this problem or switching to another browser? Thx

My "recovery.jsonlz4" file from a previous install will not reopen my previous session (tabs) after the new installation.

Before deleting my previous installation of Firefox (for a clean install), I did two things: I created a restore point, and I did a backup of my old data.

The data consists of: bookmarks-2024-05-10.json

These folders: C:\Users\[machinename]\AppData\Local C:\Users\[machinename]\AppData\Roaming C:\Computer Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution C:\Program Data\Mozilla-1de4eexxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

Within "Roaming" I have Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default-release\sessionstore-backups

In that sessionstore-backup, I have a "recovery.baklz4" (most recent session, I'm guessing) and three others that look like "upgrade.jsonlz4-2024xxxxxxxxxxx

With Firefox closed, I took a copy of "recovery.baklz4" (745 KB) and pasted it into the current sessionstore-backups file, then I changed the file to "recovery.jsonlz4".

I thought that when I reopened Firefox, my previous tabs would appear. They didn't. So, I went to the menu, then to History, and clicked on Recover Previous Session. That didn't do anything either. And it reduced the size of the *.jsonlz4 file from 745 KB to 6 KB.

I'm not sure what I've done wrong. Can you help me out?

When I watch a video not in the full screen mod, the colors are as dark as they're supposed to be (pic 1), but when I enter the full screen mod, the video gets pale/brigher (pic2, compare the dark zones). it's fully connected with hardware acceleration. When it's on videos get pale and when it's off they don't. But I can't turn it off because I also need it for an addon I use as it won't work without it. Someone on the forum here said that turning on layers.force-active might help with a bug of hardware acceleration. I turned it on and it helped - acceleration was on and videos didn't get pale, but then everything got back and now this setting doesn't work anymore. I also opened trouble shooting mode and videos didn't get pale with it even with acceleration on, but I don't know why, becaues when I closed it I deleted all the extensions, turned on acceleration and videos got pale again. And, this problem is only in this browser. This problem really keeps my up at night and I'm so tired of it

This seems to be caused by Firefox. I don't have this problem with Edge, Chrome or Opera

Long ago I used to never have to hit F5 to see today's version of a page instead of the cached version, and I do NOT want to clear cache or cookies or history on exit, no, that's not the setting I'm looking for, thanks.

When photos, videos, or websites are linked on a FB comment, it used to display a thumbnail preview below the comment. Now it just shows the link. On mobile, the preview appears. So I'm thinking a setting got changed on the desktop version.

Does anyone know what the issue is and how to correct?

I used to have no problem opening messages.google.com/web/conversations to link my messages to my Pixel phone. Just recently the site will not open in Firefox. Not an error message, it just won't open the page.

I often have many tabs open (25+) I have made it so tab shrink way more then normal (I like the way chrome handles tabs where they basically just shrink infinitely. Firefox doesn't do it's even with my twerks but ohwell.)

so when i want to click on a tab with audio playing at a small size i often mute the tab instead of clicking on the tab

Where and how can i remove the mute button that appears when hovering over tabs with audio playing?

I have never found that mute button useful so removing it will not impact me

Since my Firefox browser has many issues these days, I tried to reinstall it but forgot to leave the box next to “Remove My Firefox Personal Data and Customization” unchecked when I proceeded with the installation.

I don't have any manual backup of my Window 11 system or bookmarks / passwords stored on Firefox. And all Firefox folders now have a last-modified time later than the time when I clicked the installation file. Thus, I guess my bookmarks / passwords stored over the past two years are forever gone. But I would like to make sure that it is really the case so that I can move on and start feeling better.

I understand it was completely my careless mistake. But your kind feedback would really, really be appreciated.

Why you create Mozilla account with sync, if I can't use profile which I saved on my old PC. I change my PC and now I can't use my open tabs as needed, I need to open each tab one by one. Why ??? Why I can't use saved profile on my new PC ??????
