Hello,

I am trying to force two or three websites to detect my timezone as UTC, even though my local system time is not UTC. I figured out how to do this with ALL sites by setting privacy.fingerprintingProtection to "true" and entering "+JSDateTimeUTC" in privacy.fingerprintingProtection.overrides in about:config.

Now according to docs, privacy.fingerprintingProtection.granularOverrides "can be used to add or remove features on a domain granular level if privacy.fingerprintingProtection is enabled," but I can't figure out how to get it working.

Any input is appreciated.

Yahoo Mail always opens at 170% zoom. It opens normally in Microsoft Edge. All other windows open normally at 100% zoom. I can manually change it back to 100% but, that is annoying to have to do every time. How do I fix this?

I am trying to connect to a website but I keep getting error code 522. I've tried using Chrome and it connects to the website with no problem. I've checked my privacy settings and I do not have that website blocked. What else can I check?

I use Disqus daily. A few months ago it became necessary to disable the shield in the address line. Yesterday captcha quit working. I input my email and password and click captcha and the circle starts spinning and never ends. This happens on all sites using Disqus.

 Is there any way to get Firefox to work with Disqus and Captcha?

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY - Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (Firefox-Mozilla kinda encourages using their tools to block cookies, which I much prefer), and I CANT FIND WHERE TO ALLOW (not yelling its just that I said this before and it wasn't noticed) cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences all I could find was under privacy & security cross-site cookies but that did nothing) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to try (I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I did get the following reply, saying to allow cookies (BUT I DON"T KNOW HOW OR WHERE TO DO IT) and something about a new browser profile and to stay out of my sync account, and I APOLOGIZE, but I have no clue what all that means. What is a broweser profile, what is a sync account and how do I stay out of it? I guess well I know i'm not too smart about this kinda stuff, so I apologize but I think I need detailed step by step what to do to fix this. I know thats a lot of typing, sorry.

the built in eyedropper tool is the simplest and easiest solution to grabbing screen colors without granting file permission to 3rd party solutions for full funcionality. I have power-toys but I hate to see this tool needlessly depreciated. My workflow needs to sample many colors at a time making the menu navigation needless. PLEASE let there be a way to add it to the toolbar, I hope there is. Thanks for your time

Quick background: I live in the US. I wiped my computer while traveling in the Netherlands. I installed Firefox while in the Netherlands. I quickly noticed that the default language was Dutch. No biggie, I looked around and "managed language" to English in the Firefox settings.

The problem is that Firefox is still stuck on Dutch mode. Even the spell checker is stuck. Internal messaging is stuck (e.g. the messages on the bottom of the page while loading a site). I just went to DuckDuckGo and it defaulted the page to Dutch.

I understand that I could reinstall Firefox while I am at home (US). But I think this is a bug. The browser should be able to switch languages in the settings, etc.

Let me know if I am doing it wrong.

Netflix all of a sudden wont work on firefox after update. still works on edge and my computer in other room which has an update firefox popup that i have not done yet. i reset drm already. it wont even sign in through firefox. i was on the phone with netflix for an hour they said use chrome which i hate or edge which is equally horrible but both work just not firefox. f7111-1957-205002 this code popped once. never had this kind of problem before. i already cleared cash and redownloaded firefox and all that jazz.

An answer from legit source (longtime moderator or developer) is welcome. I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find it and I'd like to make my point.

I didn't like the design of Firefox when they first started this design with so much space wasted for tabs and toolbar. Every time I open Firefox it feels odd with gigantic empty spaces if I come from Chrome/Vivaldi which are thoughtfully compact.

I have 14" laptop and Firefox makes the UX very less intuitive.

As of now, I'm using the workaround for compact mode that was posted in this forum numerous times. It says (not supported) beside compact mode which makes me feel like that this feature is going to be removed completely in the future. That's the tipping point where I will stop using Firefox completely.

So, coming to the question - wait - Subject is the question...

I'd like to be able to open a link in private mode by holding down some modifier key, then clicking on the link. There are many times that I want to open a link in private mode, and a keypress + click would be the quickest way to do it given that one hand typically remains at the keyboard while I use the mouse/trackpad.

I've even added a toolbar button to open a new private browsing window, then dragged and dropped a link onto the button, but that gets a circle with slash icon and nothing more.

Others have asked this question, so, to be clear, none of the following address my question: copying the link then opening the private browsing window & pasting the link, using a customized shortcut/bookmark, opening Firefox in private mode via command line, right-clicking the link then selecting "Open link in new private window".

Hi, I've had this issue since I installed firefox on my current computer. The hover menu shows up on Youtube and some other video websites, but not on Twitter for example.

I followed what a forum post here said about dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled and HID touch interface, neither did anything for me (I don't even have a HID touch interface device on my list, not even hidden).

Need some help :P

I am running version 125.0.3 (64-bit) on Windows 11, and I can't check for updates and have to manually download each new version after given a popup telling me that the latest Firefox update couldn't be installed. I've tried restarting the computer, tried running the Mozilla Maintenance Service, and installing the latest updates for Firefox and Windows 11. Nothing I've tried has worked, and no other help article has helped me thus far.

A couple of months ago, I suddenly lost all my saved bookmarks, plus the ones on my toolbar. Strange thing is, all the folders and sub-folders I created are still there, they're just all empty.

Can I get them back somehow? I've been collecting them for years so can't replace them all!

Firefox 125.2 iMac OS x10.15

I get black and or white rectangles on web pages as I scroll or move the cursor. Some times they obscure what is on the page, sometimes a ghost of what is underneath shows through, sometimes they are like a layer between page components. I've attached a couple of screenshots to show some of the problems. I've reset Firefox but it made no difference. Any suggestions? Rhanks Tony

The story is when I accidentally clicked on a sick video, YouTube start to recommend me similar sick videos.

So my question is how does YouTube get my identity?

I'm not logged in. my profile is actually a snapshot, so when I restart Firefox, it go back to the snapshot. I even restarted my ISP router to get a new IP address. This did not work.

Only when I create a new profile with "firefox -P" does YouTube start to see me as a new person.

So how does YouTube identify my Firefox profile? I don't think it's in the https request headers. Weird.

I am tired of this [removed] browser quitting, even when I don't have it open...I am going to uninstall it and NEVER install it again...I tried a full uninstall to see if it would fix whatever the [removed] issue with it was, but it is doing the same [removed] again!...I don't have this problem with any other browser I use on my system (Chrome, Brave, Opera and Tor)...I am tired of dealing with this [removed], so you can just take your [removed] and shove it!!!

How the hell does a browser crash when it isn't even being used???!!!

No need to respond and ask for any logs or other [removed], because it will all be gone!!!

Hi,

Firefox Developer Edition 126.0b7 (64-bit) shows a perpetual "Loading" screen when trying to access my internal Logitec Media Server at 127.0.0.1:9001.

Other browsers like Waterfox Classic have no trouble, so LMS is working fine.

I tried cleaning the cookies, disabling the firewall (Windows 10), that did not help/

Any idea how to solve this?

I simply want to use a password to open Firefox. I don't want to set up Firefox sync. How can I set up a simple password as permission to open Firefox without accessing sync?
