I'm running firefox 124.0.2 on Linux Mint and am having the most bizarre issue. I've got a logitech M560 mouse, and when I press the mouse button for Forward it functions normally. However when I press the mouse button for Back, Firefox ignores it.

I've already confirmed that the OS is registering the button click as 'Back' using Input-Remapper, and the extra mouse buttons are enabled in the Firefox configuration. I've also used the mouse on another PC with no issues so this one is kind of boggling the mind.

When I right click the taskbar and press close Firefox, here comes the interface just as the screenshot uploaded. The blue close button doesn't response no matter how I click it and the Firefox's taskbar is flashing yellow. This bug only occurs on the first window of Firefox and only when user right click the taskbar.

It has been a long time for me wishing that some updates would be released soon to fix this issue, while noting happens. Or this bug is only for me?

In previous versions of FFx, toggling to Reader view used the same font I'd chosen in Settings / wherever. Now it's something else, in boldface with no distinctions made in original view (italics, not italics, etc). & there doesn't seem to be any way I can control fonts in Reader.

Any suggestions? In plain English, please, I am NOT a programmer or computer professional, just a regular human trying to use this new version that seems to have broken everything I liked about FFx.

I want to keep browser open after closing last tab. I changed the boolean parameter "browser. tabs. closeWindowWithLastTab" to "false" but the browser still closes with closing of last tab.

What else is required ?

Hi I am a longtime user of your browser. I have version 124.0.2(64 bit) installed on three devices. First thing I do on opening it is to click on "about", which normally updates the browser, before I do any browsing. In the last three weeks, however, it has not updated on any of the three devices, rather, it says "Failed to check for updates". I have tried the workarounds suggested at your Help center, and nothing has worked. What gives, may I ask? Thank you

Having used Firefox browser for so many years now, just recently I am experiencing occasional links not working when my trusty Roboform (version 9.5.8.0) extension is enabled. The same links work fine with Roboform when tested in Edge and Chrome browsers which frustrates me as I do not want to switch from Firefox. I have tried removing the extension and reinstalling a fresh download, same for uninstalling Firefox. I have tried setting up a new Firefox profile. I have gone through every Firefox setting many times trying with or without although I have not actually modified any setting recently so I am fairly confident that this problem is due to a change in either Firefox or Roboform. I am using Firefox version 124.0.2 in Windows 11 23H2 (currently 22631.3374) and also use two other extensions, being Kaspersky Protection and Facebook Container which have been resident for a few years now. I can remove the other two extension individually but it is only by disabling the Roboform extension that enables me to view these troublesome links without any issue. An example is https://www.hughes.co.uk/product/kitchen-appliances/cooking/microwaves/hisense/h29mobs9hguk whereby if I click on any of the three "Flexi-Pay", "Delivery & Collection" or "Services" buttons on the right, there is no response when Roboform extension is installed. I have naturally been in touch with Roboform but so far they have sadly not been able to help find me a solution, so I thought I should ask the experts at Firefox hoping that someone out there might just have experience of such an issue. Just as a separate observation, the Roboform extension is missing its icon when viewed in Add-ons Manager and also when viewed in the Firefox Add-ons library which I find very odd as that wasn't always the case. It is appearing normally in my Firefox Toolbar. Thank you in advance for any help offered.

Can someone please answer how to reset firefox size after you've been using a bigger screen and go back to the laptop the top bar is lost way up and I cant catch it to move it to resize the firefox window. Using Fn and F11 to go into maximize mode doesnt help me at all cuz I end up in full screen on the FHD screen but cant grab and drag the window to resize it again - and please NO comments about using FN and F11 again. This is an issue thats been since years - cant figure out why ppl who are tryin to help think others dont know the difference between maximization and the window being bigger than the laptop screen and being lost. So FIREFOX key-shortcut for window size reset URGENT PLEASEEEE - Im having this issue couple times a week. To fix it I gotta go again to the bigger screen reduce the size of the window and then disconnect - which is soooo horrible.

I use my monitor in portrait orientation for various reasons, one of which is a large cat. In reference to earlier comments elsewhere about the tab bar, I like having the tab bar across the top of the browser window, and I don't need the additional vertical space.

I've read the conversations about grouped or nested tabs, and I've looked at the add-ons for tab grouping. The add-ons seem inelegant, and they don't really do what I want them to do. It seems to me that the best way to approach grouping tabs is keeping the existing tab bar and adding a layer of function to it.

I have 117 tabs open because I'm approaching antiquity, something of a slob, a bit of a hoarder, need to have reminders for the rabbit-holes I plumb, and I find the Bookmarks cumbersome. Firefox doesn't seem to bog down under the load, which is great.

How about this: Rig the Tabs function to accommodate two or three levels. Along with the New Tab button, make a button to open a Tab Drawer, which can be named and would always be visible. Related tabs could then be dragged and dropped into the relevant Tab Drawer, and the Tab Drawers can be dragged to arrange them among exposed tabs on the Tab Bar. Tab Drawers could contain Tab Drawers to create one or two sublevels. (Even one-level tab grouping would be a huge improvement.)

Opening a Drawer would be by clicking on it; this would open a drop-down menu of the contents. Selecting a tab in a Drawer would open a that tab next to the drawer; selecting a Drawer would The right-click menu for the Drawer could include options for Open Drawer in New Window and Open All These Tabs and Drawers in One New Window. As the user would be navigating through tabs, the drop-down menus would not be too much of an intrusion.

As an example, I could have Tab Drawers to collect the 17 recipe tabs I have open, or the six peculiar Ebay search pages I keep, the twelve crossword and game tabs I visit regularly, the eight or so YouTube tabs I maintain and the multitude of medical, banking, utility and governmental tabs I need for logging in more often than I'd prefer. And it would be nice to have a Drawer for the tabs I have for online shopping; opening them all in a new window would be useful.

I don't know jack doe about coding or what bugs could possibly arise from such a feature, but this seems a reasonable approach to the problem of tab grouping. It keeps tabs as they are (It might require a few more vertical pixels so Drawers could be outlined for visibility), and allows one to fine-tune their use in a manner similar to using other features on Firefox. It doesn't require a new window that takes up space on the desktop as the current add-ons do.

Does this seem reasonable and possible? I'd do it myself, but I can't.

Hello Good People,

I noticed that the snap version of Firefox had a lag issue when typing into input field. For example, when composing an email and wanting to use backspace to quickly delete a misspelled word, then backspace works slowly, stuttering and jittering. If I hold down a key in the input field it also lays the character down in a stuttery, slow way.

I tried reinstalling the system and that solved the issue. But it has returned again. Maybe it was an update. I also installed WINE and waybridge to get some windows plugins to work on my DAW. I don't know if that has affected it.

I also tried removing the snap version and installing firefox using the terminal but the problem persisted.

It's an annoying problem. Any advice appreciated.

For about a week now YouTube doesn't display correctly. No content shows. I can open private browsing and works fine. Also works fine on other browsers just not Firefox.

I'm on an iMac running Firefox version 124.0.2 and I've tried disabling all add-ons but nothing has changed to the browser so shouldn't cause any issues.

I am unable to sign into the 7plus.com.au website.

I have tried creating a new profile in Firefox (firefox.exe -p) but I have the same issues when using the new profile.

When I go to the website, the 'sign in' button does not respond, nor does the 'Register' button. When I click on the 'Connect your TV' button and enter my credentials, I receive an error message:

Failed to sign in. Please try again later (error -1)

I do not have these issues if I use another browser, so this leads me to believe that Firefox may be the issue.

I realize the website developers may also be at fault here, but it seems odd that other browsers work, but Firefox does not.

I've installed Inter font from Google fonts (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Inter) on my windows, but as you can see in the image, the font is not displaying correctly in Firefox.

Prior to update 125.0.1 corporate intranet users could download PDF files from our Line of Business applications / Webpages. Today after the latest update the PDF files download but are corrupted. The site was added to the trusted webpage without improvement.

I am using the credit card autofill function. I select a card and payment is taken from a different saved card. I have quit and restarted Firefox but still wrong card used???

I'm using MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and recently, my browser has started freezing up for several minutes. It seems that the culprit is the "fontd" process because when I open Activity Manager that process spikes to %50 to %80 CPU usage. Killing the process does nothing and quitting out of Firefox does nothing either. I made sure Firefox is fully updated, but still nothing. I'm not sure whether it's a problem with my Macbook Pro's fonts or if it's a problem with Firefox, but I'd like my browser to be reliable.

Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or what I can do to resolve it?

When I turn off the windows animations in Windows 10 the font on Twitter.com changes somewhat. I believe it is altering the character spacing/scaling.

I have not had this behavior on other browsers (Brave, Edge, Chrome & OperaGX tested). I have not noticed this on other websites, but I also haven't really looked.

under Privacy and Security, I cannot find anything to do with saved payment methods or the checkbox to enable payment method auto-fill.
