For about two months, video quality has been persistently low for me on Youtube. Quality options are limited to 360p and I am unable to change it. Additionally, I am unable to play video on other platforms such as Vimeo, Pinterest and other streaming sites. Sites return errors such as 'Player is unable to play video at this time' or error code 102630. I have refreshed my cache and reinstalled Firefox and neither have resolved the issue. Notably, this issue does not occur on other browsers such as Chrome or Microsoft Edge. As far as I know my drivers are up to date and the Windows Media Feature Pack is installed, although it shouldn't be an issue seeing as sites work on other browsers. The issue also persists in troubleshooting mode. I've gone through the console and included images of some interesting errors that might be of use, although I don't have the technical knowledge to know what they mean. Please inform me if there is any other information I can provide that would help. Thank you!

Kaspersky is no longer listed under my extensions, and I am not sure how to get this resolved so that I can access gmail again. Please help!

I have a problem with my primary email. I cannot send out or receive. I'm working with my provider but no resolution as of yet. They did check my settings at the provider level but said everything looks good. I've thoroughly checked and rechecked all my email settings and am unable to see a problem. I'm thinking that since I am not signed into my browser (Mozilla Firefox) with it telling me my account is disconnected that I need to Sync my account, but I cannot do that.
So, I have been trying to Sync my Mozilla account but being I have a problem with email I am unable to receive your email code to completely sign into my Mozilla account. What I am wanting to do is to sign into my account and add a secondary email address so to receive your sign in code so that I am able to finish syncing my account.
I am lost to know what to do from here! You will be unable to reply to me using my regular primary email address because as I say, I cannot send or receive, so how can you even help me? Please help me somehow! I'm sure you have my phone number being I would think it's on my account. Can you phone me? Hopefully! Not sure whether I should put a phone number or the added secondary email address in here so you can add it for me. I can't sign into Mozilla to do anything. I went through my Google account to get this far so to hopefully send this to you. Your help would surely be appreciated! I'm using Firefox Developer Edition 132.0b3 (64 bit) which I downloaded just a few days ago. Already, there's an update for it, to version 132.0b4. Each time I open Firefox, there's this popup that tells me that there's an update available and that I need to download it. I'm using Linux Mint 21. I've already visited about:config and changed app.update.silent to true, changed app.update.manual to true, and changed app.update.url.details and app.update.url.manual to fake hyperlinks. Despite doing this and despite restarting, I'm still prompted about the update available every single time I open Firefox. Could someone kindly tell the specific developer who implemented this annoying feature, to please provide an option for Users to not be bothered with such popup notifications?
ps: Why does this website have a white background and not allow extensions to change it to a dark background? I have Dark Reader extension installed, but it says that it cannot make changes to this website. Even uBlockOrigin is unable to. Please either allow extensions to change the background, or at least change the background color of this website to dark. It gets strenuous on the eyes to keep staring at a bright white backgrond.

Hi! I seem to be having an issue with my browser. Every now and then, blue squares will partially or completely replace the icons on my toolbar an search bar, and disappear on its own after a while.
For reference, I currently have several tabs open (13) on a split screen, but only the icons on de left window are affected by this. This started happening this month, prior to this I was able to have multiple tabs open on a split screen without issue.
I'll attach 2 images so you can see what I mean.
I appreciate any advice I get to fix this.

Everything was fine until I briefly used a VPN extension for maximum 10 minutes (it's UrbanVPN), and when I returned to the tab with the youtube video on it, it had no sound (I've used this particular extention plenty of times, it's the first time this has happened, also I don't know if it has anything to do with the extension, I just thought I should mention it). Laptop is fine, all sound everywhere else works perfectly, except from any video played from the mozilla browser. I took some advice from online: I restarted the computer, I selected troubleshooting, I typed about:profiles and selected 'Restart normally', nothing has worked so far. The only thing I haven't done yet is disabling graphics hardware acceleration, an advice from mozilla support for a similar problem a person had 6 years ago (no sound on youtube), but I can't find where that is, maybe because I have the latest mozilla version. Could you help me?

I have looked over my settings to see if there is a way to alter the spacing but to no avail. I now realized why I stopped using Firefox a little while back and this is the main reason. If I can't read posts on social media apps on my computer browser what's the use?
Suggestions and fixes MOST welcome before I throw my hands up again. Edge is messed up in other ways as is Opera so I'd really love to have just ONE browser that I can depend on. Considering I used to be a HUGE fan of FF back in the day before the entire code was rewritten I'd love to be back in the fold. If this can be resolved I'll stay. For sure.

Several weeks ago, I was attempting to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. In the process, I deleted Firefox (using Revo Uninstaller) and then reinstalled it, downloading it from the Mozilla website. Unfortunately, it didn’t run, giving me, at different attempts, different error messages. In the time since then, I have read many suggestions from many different websites and I have tried some of these suggestions, all with no success – until today. I have just completed the suggestions made on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1327628 and Firefox is now back, working. I am happy and grateful, but not finished. None of my personal data came with the currently functioning version of Firefox. Since the re-emergence of Firefox, I have been reading several websites dealing with copy, backup and restore of my Firefox profile. Right now, the path C:\Users\rsuth\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ shows 5 folders: Two of the folders show 11/11/24 as the date modified (probably the date of the download from Mozilla). The folder 0dppjrfa.default contains one file, times.json, dated 8/11/2020. The other folder, ru82tlj5.default-release, has 97 items, most dated 11/11/2024. The remaining three folders are all dated 12/2/24 (today, as I write this). One folder’s name ends .default, the second name ends .default-release, and the third name ends .default-release-thirteen digits. The question that I am asking here is what do I do next to, hopefully, bring back the personal date I had with Firefox before my updating to Windows 11. Should I delete the folders dated 12/2/24? What, if anything, is the significance of the folder whose name ends in 13 digits? I’m hoping someone will be able to tell me how to fix these Firefox problems. And if I can, then I hope to be able to do something similar to help me bring back Thunderbird as well. Thunderbird became unfunctioning at the same time as Firefox. Thank you.

Theoretically, I find this extension useful but I am concerned about the "Access your data for all websites" requirement. I read through Mozilla's permission request messages for Firefox extensions documentation and it seems like granting this extension these permissions would be a huge risk for the work I do– investigative journalism. It seems like I'll trade organizational benefits for a wider attack surface.
Can anyone speak more about the risks involved with using this extension, the trustworthiness of the developer, and why it needs the "Access your data for all websites" capability?

I use Firefox on Ubuntu Linux, and it works fine.
For unrelated reasons I have created a new Linux Mint 22 boot partition, and I would like to use the same Firefox profile on both Linux OS-s, without having to move or copy the existing profile I use on Ubuntu. (The profile is placed on a third independent data partition!) I cannot find any information on how to do it. All information I find involves moving the profile, but then Firefox on Ubuntu would not be able to continue to use it.
