Java-script turned off when I synced Firefox with my new windows computer. Now I cannot run Pandora on my work computer which is also windows 11. Pandora was previously working. I get an error message that Java-scrip is necessary for Pandora. I enabled Java-script in the "about:config" settings but I still get the same error message when I try to use Pandora streaming.

i reinstalled windows 10 and tried to login in firefox, but i didn't remember password so i reseted password and tried to sync bookmarks but nothing to sync. how i can restore my bookmarks? why after reset password all my synced data will be erased? what genius came up with this?

When filling out forms in Firefox, it offers to autofill everything - first, middle, and last name, home address, credit card info, just now it even showed it has my social security number. When I go into Settings/Privacy & Security/Forms and Autofill, and click to view Saved Addresses/Saved Credit Cards, there are no entries to edit or remove. Why does Firefox have this info saved, and how can I remove it?

My Firefox browser automatically updated a few days ago. Since the update, the browser now crashes repeatedly during basic browsing, making Firefox essentially unusable. For instance, retrieving Yahoo mail, reading articles, accessing login pages -- the page will enter some type of refresh/reload cycle and crash the browser.

I opened the browser in troubleshoot mode and the problem did not occur. Following the Mozilla instructions, I disabled extensions and reopened the browser normally, and the crashes continued. I have not taken any additional actions.

This problem began immediately after the latest browser update on 9/13.

How to continuously reset history cookies/cache for one website.

Is there a way to continuously clear cookies and cache data for one domain or website? Or reworded, a way to not record cookies or cache data for one domain or website?

I have managed to find the article to clear cookies and cache data for the domain but have not been able to find out how to do this continuously without having to go into the settings each time to clear this history.

tried to fix this by using trouble shoot mode and then refreshed now can't load anything and crashes what do i do?

some web pages not fully loading without refreshing or go back 1 page and forward again Firefox 117.0.1 [20230912013654] installed 9/12/23 also running adguard adblocker 4.1.57 disabled it to test did not solve

not sure if related but hiccups on pages that auto refresh (happened over weekend) just manually refreshed

restore session failure

Today when I closed Firefox and reopened it the option to restore previous session was not shown, as a result I have lost half my pinned tabs (I managed to redo the rest from bookmarks) which were vital. I tried going into history but the option was greyed out.

This happened yesterday too but after redoing half my tabs I went to open gmail and it restored all my tabs, I tried the sane today but it failed so am stuck with half my tabs.

Please do not suggest I use synch as I only use one device.

I'm not able to log into at least two different websites after installing Firefox on a brand new computer (e.g., actblue.com). The page merely reloads as if I didn't enter the log in information correctly.

  • The websites log in just fine on Chrome, so I know it's not an issue with the websites per se. So it seems to be limited to only when I use the Firefox browser.
  • I've disabled extensions, removed them, and tested in Safe Mode, but the problem persists. That leads me to believe the problem is something with the Firefox browser specifically.
  • Cookie restrictions are only on Standard, not Strict; I even using a Custom setting to allow cookies to be tracked.
  • I've tried clearing the cache and cookies.
  • I've deleted the cookie file, thinking it might be corrupted.
  • I've restarted Firefox several times.
  • I've restarted the laptop twice.

None of that has worked. I'm out of ideas.

HI. I recently purchased a new laptop and have Windows 11 Home (64 bit) installed. I installed the latest version of Firefox (v117). I am attempting to copy the bookmarks from another laptop - same version of Windows and the same version of Firefox. 1. I exported the toolbar bookmarks from old laptop which created an HTML file - file type shows as

   Firefox HTML Document.

2. On the new laptop I went through the process, Manage bookmarks,

     highlighted the Bookmarks Toolbar, selected  Import bookmarks from HTML, selected the file I wanted
     then 'OPENED'  the file I wanted to use. 

3. The process ended very quickly, file was not large. I clicked on the HOME icon and NO bookmarks

    were displayed on the toolbar, no bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks either. 

4. The only change was - all bookmarks from the old laptop were listed under 'Recent bookmarks' which

    made no sense since I had not visited them on the new laptop. 

5. I went through the process twice and I now see duplicate entries in the 'Recent bookmarks', no bookmarks.

So, what have I missed or does the export / import process simply not work? I have not tried the backup / restore process since this is the all or nothing approach and I may want to copy a few bookmarks in the future using the export / import process.

Does anyone have any ideas since I'm stopped at this point in time.

I have a huge audio issue that has plagued me for months now. Whenever I open a video on Youtube there is often no audio for about 20-30 seconds after playing the video. Sometimes the audio doesn't play at all and I gotta reload the video. When the audio does decide to cut in it's completely out of sync. Skipping to a spot in the video does seem to fix that issue. Sometimes I'll be playing a video and after a certain point the audio will just stop. The video itself will keep playing but there will be no sound like it's muted. I'll need to reload to fix this. It used to be fine for years than suddenly earlier this year it started doing this. If I remember correctly it started after a windows update, but no idea if it's connected or not. This ONLY happens with Youtube. I have tested this in other places: Magellan, Twitch VODs, Vimeo, Pornhhub yada yada. Jokes aside, pretty much everything works normally except Youtube.

And before someone sends me this link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-common-audio-and-video-issues and just says "try this." I have gone through everything posted there. I have tried refreshing firefox. I have tried using 0 addons (even though it worked fine with all them before). I have tried reinstalling. I have tried seemingly every video suggestion under the sun.

I am at my wits end. I REALLY don't want to use Chrome, or any other Chromium based browser but given that I browse the site almost daily this has been a huge headache that I am dealing with daily and it is getting harder to not look for other options. Can anyone help fix this?

We are distributor of Firefox extension for dragon professional. ( We are self distrubutor of the extension.)

It’s ID is dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com

Now we have done some modification to the same extension, while publishing it shows error as “Duplicate add-on ID found.”

Earlier we have used same ID for the Firefox extension in the year 2018.

Currently we have opened new account with same ID “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com” and faced the mentioned issue.

We are expected to publish our extension with the same extension id as we don’t want our existing customers get affected.

Is there any way with which extension id “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com” can be deleted from backend , so that we can reuse it.

I am unable to log into Google Drive using Firefox (W11) Google wants me to uninstall and reinstall FF

There's quite a few help articles that leave me with a queasy feeling. I have saved passwords, extensions and a huge number of bookmarks. I don't want to lose anything (partly because I don't think this will solve the problem)

I'd appreciate a step-by-step on how to FULLY backup prior to uninstall/reinstall. Also, if there is anything special about how to unintall other than using the Windows uninstall. And, if there's something I'm going to have to do to get my passwords, extensions and bookmarks back.

Hi,

I'd like to ask if there are plans in the near future to support FIDO2/WebAuthn authentication for Firefox Accounts.

My question is motivated by the fact that right now there's no way to add a secondary MFA option as backup, and the industry-standard backup codes are very clunky to store safely and use in general.

Losing access to the MFA for an account which hosts all data (and essentially the day to day optimizations of workflows - saved data, bookmarks, etc.) and starting from scratch is a terrifying prospect (I've gone through it before), especially given that Firefox Accounts right now does not have any recovery options after that point.

It would be beneficial if one would be able to add, for instance, a pair of FIDO2 keys for this purpose, or even more broadly speaking any other WebAuthn providers (like Windows Hello). Those would not only provide a better security standard, but also better failover options.

I'm sorry if this is not the right place, but I've not found a dedicated forum for Firefox Accounts issues specifically - please direct me there if there's one.
