i had some problems with windows services and firewall and network. i installed the tool from tweaking.com( i don't know if it is legit or scam or virus or anything. would appreciate clarification.) after i repaired windows with it some of my apps including firefox did not start and were corrupted. after that i wanted to reinstall firefox and used the helper.exe from the uninstall folder in mozilla firefox folder in drive C. it restarted firefox and all my tabs were gone. i accessed the jason files (recovery,restore,...) and none of them had my tabs. i signed in to my account and all my history and bookmarks are still here but about 100 tabs were lost. i really need those tabs and i am in desperate need for help. thanks ( in no parts of system repair or other actions i have not created a back up and do not have that back up or system restore files)

Hello; I installed a new web page. While the page opens properly in browsers such as Safari and Chrome, in Firefox it constantly displays 403 forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied! gives an error. I deleted the caches. I did flush DNS. I even reset firefox. I tried everything but the page still gives an error. There is only a dry WordPress content. How can I get rid of this error? Thanks.

Hi Friends.... This morning logged into my website as usual and this message appeared on the home page. I have not checked the link as it seems potentially malicious ... It does not appear when visiting my site on Safari. I have emptied the cache I have been through troupbleshooting mode I have reinstalled Firefox and it still is there..

Macbook pro 2017 OS 12.7 Firefox 125.03

My Firefox settings are configured to "Open previous windows and tabs" on Startup. This worked fine until this morning, when I lost all of the tabs in my session, including the pinned ones. The last time I closed Firefox, there was only one window open.

I have already tried these ideas to restore the tabs:

• CTRL+SHIFT+T: Does nothing
• CTRL+SHIFT+N: Does nothing
• Three bar menu -> History -> Recently closed tabs: The list is empty
• Three bar menu -> History -> Recently closed windows: The option is greyed out
• Three bar menu -> History -> Restore previous session: The option does not exist in the menu
• Open user profile folder and open sessionstore-backups folder: There are three files named "previous.jsonlz4", "recovery.baklz4" and "recovery.baklz4". They are each 2KB and contain only an empty tab with the URL "about:home". There are three additional files starting with "upgrade" but they are from too long ago, so they don't contain the tabs I require.

The contents of these tabs are vitally important for my work, so this is causing me significant stress. If anyone can suggest ways to recover my previous tab beyond the documented fixes, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!

It appeared a few weeks ago. Now, when I load google map webpage, the map loads normally with all the street, country, road names, then 1 second later, all those texts disappear. I've disabled all Plugins, delete cache, load a brand new profile, without effects. Note that if I use a user agent switcher plugin and choose any Mobile versions (but not a desktop version), the names load (and stay) normally.

Hello, By default, DoH fails on Max Protection in the latest OS versions listed above. The workaround I've discovered is using https://1.1.1.1/dns-query, but I would rather use the default settings.

I haven't been able to login with MFA on my uni website and also make purchases using credit cards on commercial sites.

I have tried Troubleshooting mode and the problem persists. Switching to Opera browser showed normal functionality.

Firefox 125.0.3 (64-bit) on macOS 14.4

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? I'm running Firefox which I compiled with vaapi support because I was trying to use hardware acceleration for videos, so I think this bug may have something to do with that. Every time I open a pdf file my browser instantly crashes. When I use troubleshoot mode I have no such issue. I then tried with a fresh all-default user profile with no add-ons, nothing, and still I crash when loading a PDF. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Sometimes I find that Firefox just randomly closes on my laptop, usually when I step away for about 10-20 minutes. I can't find any info in the about:crashes page when it happens.

I made a private homepage years ago made up entirely of links to web-based AND local folders and files that are grouped into columns of categories like banking, medical, insurance, budget, etc. I keep it off-line on my desktop. I wrote the code so I could place an external link to a bank for example, next to a local link to the folder on my computer where I download statement pdfs from that bank and other bank files. The web page links displays: MY BANK Chkng/Debit Statements Credit Card Statements Bank Information The top link goes to the bank web page on line while the three lower links open folders on my computer where I save pdfs, txt, images, etc from the bank. Firefox opens the folders as "Index of file:///C:(folder path).

My personal home page is laid out with groupings like this for all sorts of information and associated web links: broker, vendor invoices, medical test, taxes, social security, health insurance, subscriptions etc. Today we get .pdf files with all sorts of information and no help organizing it for easy access. The Firefox browser has become the perfect tool for me. But I learned HTML coding years ago! Not so easy to do for others.

Today, many entities have on-line access that provides downloads like invoices, test results, payments, subscriptions, and much more that replace paper. Creating folders to hold these documents with their own local links on your web/local homepage makes sense to me.

While you can use "File" on Firefox to open a local folder or individual file, you cannot save it as a link. However, you can copy the path and transfer that to an a href=" line of link code in your homepage and build on that method. It's amazing how many types of files can be displayed in a browser that are locally stored. Even a link to a spreadsheet file will open that spreadsheets application. Having a varied list of links with quick access is worth the code-writing time. I wish there was an app to help anyone make their own custom folders and links to the contents in a "my homepage.html" . Is there a product idea in there for you folks?

Is there a way to turn off tracking URL fragment insertion from the release notes page when clicking "What's New" in the Firefox update modal?

When I click "What's New" in this modal (see Screenshot 1), it loads the release notes page for my current version (although it really should load the release notes page for the version it wants me to upgrade to, but that's another issue altogether), and inserts a bunch of tracking URI fragments onto the URL (see Screenshot 2).

Is there a way (in Settings, about:config, Windows Registry, etc.) to disable that fragment insertion?

Yesterday on my linux computer I noticed that my container setup ise back to the default setting. Now I'm using my windows laptop, and it is als back to the defaults. I'm afraid the same thing will happen when I start using my windows desktop. Should I poll the network cable and delete my firefox sync data, so I can hopefully save my containers setup? Or is this not going to help, and I'm fucked anyway :)

Hi there, thanks for your attention I'm a web developer and new to using firefox. I was using chrome for years and now just because firefox on android let's us install add-on like it's desktop version I'm switching to firefox. as a developer I need to learn about the features firefox offers to developers or ask for any features that are missing right now, so my current issue is about the pictures I will attach. I want to have more information about the element that I'm inspecting right in the tool-tip over it for example it's active font-family or things like that. It took me sometime to figure out how to find the active font of the target element thanks to This post. but in chrome it's showed in the tool-tip.
