I've been with yellow folders for several years. In the version that I have now, version 111, no longer works. I was put at userchrome.css the following: @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul); .bookmark-item[container], treechildren::-moz-tree-image(container) { fill: gold !important; } treechildren::-moz-tree-image(container, OrganizerQuery_BookmarksToolbar) { fill: black !important; } treechildren::-moz-tree-image(container, OrganizerQuery_BookmarksMenu) { fill: black !important; } treechildren::-moz-tree-image(container, OrganizerQuery_UnfiledBookmarks) { fill: black !important; } treechildren::-moz-tree-image(container, livemark) { fill: orange !important; } .bookmark-item[container][query], treechildren::-moz-tree-image(container, query) { fill: dimgray !important; }

I do not know because it doesn't work now. Maybe version 111 no longer admits it? Do you know how to put the yellow folders?

When I open "Extensions" (about:addons) by clicking the Extensions icon, I want it to start on my own extensions, not Recommendations. How can I make "Extensions" open to the actual Extensions tab? Or can I remove the "Recommendations" tab entirely?

I already saw [to remove 'Recommendations' tab in about:addons]. But about:config

 extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled = false

only removes recommendations from the Extensions tab. And adding

 extensions.getAddons.showPane = false

does not work, the Recommendations tab is still there.

I did a new install of Firefox on a Windows 11 Pro laptop. When I enter a password to a site, blue tear drops appear around the password. I've followed the tips to turn off carets in about:fig, but the drops persist. This issue only appears in Firefox, not Edge, Chrome, etc.

Any help in turning off this annoying feature is appreciated!

In about:config I have set "geo.enabled" to false. -> www.google.com still displays the content in my language, darn.

I went went back to about:config and marked "only show modified preferences" -> to my surprise not only "geo.enabled 1" was displayed but also "permissions.default.geo 2" (though I never touched that one - so I thought they must be linked somehow)

I was curious and reverted "permissions.default.geo" back to default -> now it is set to "0" -> but "geo.enable" is still on "false" (so I am not sure anymore if they are really linked together - which doesnt make sense to me)

Now I don't know if I should leave "permissions.default.geo" on "2" how I found it, or on "0" which is the default. That's why I come here to ask:

==> What are the three states of "permissions.default.geo [0/1/2]" doing and how is it interacting with "geo.enable"?

There used to be an icon just to the right of the star (for creating a new bookmark) on the address bar that when clicked gave a drop-down bookmark menu. For some reason it disappeared and I cannot seem to get it back. All I have been able to do is go to settings => bookmarks to get a list of bookmarks, which, however, doesn't have the bookmarks organized into the sub-categories I once had. How can I get that icon back on the address bar? I don't want to add on a bookmark bar or tool bar.

I noticed this first when I had to force Google to go into dark mode even though firefox was already in dark mode.

I have searched through some issue reports and have seen a lot of people mentioning that their system theme is not being detected properly. This is not that issue. I can set the firefox "Website appearance" to dark or automatic at which point the UI of firefox itself does do into dark mode so no issues there. However if I go to a website that tries to query 'prefers-color-scheme' and set its theme accordingly it always returns 'light'. This is the case even if I set the 'layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override' to 0 in about:config.

I used this website to test: https://septatrix.github.io/prefers-color-scheme-test/

The issue persists when opening a website in a private window.

Let me know if I need to provide additional information.

I have installed the Multi-Account Containers add-on. When I right-click on a link on a page, I am missing the Firefox Multi-Account Containers element shown in the Multi-Account Containers KB article (see attached screenshot KBContextMenu.png).

My context menu looks like the attached screenshot MyContextMenu.png.

  1. Has the Multi-Account Containers add-on been updated, and the KB article needs to be revised?
  2. Is there a setting that I need to do to show this context meny element?

Hi,

does anyone know what to do to make the background of the bookmarks icon and the reload icon the same as the icon with the site connection lock? I've exhausted all options in the userChrome.css and cant get the background to change. It's in hover state.

For reference I've added a couple of images, the first how the background is and the second how I would like it to look. I'm on macOS and latest Firefox 111.

Best regards,

Johnny
