Windows 10 Pro v 22H2 Firefox 121.0.1 (64-bit)

I have tried preventing Firefox from autostarting with Windows start up by examining these potential program starting locations:

Firefox-Settings-General: "Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up": Option not available about:config - toolkit.winRegisterApplicationRestart - set to "false" No listing for Mozilla or Firefox in Windows 10 "Startup Apps" settings page No listing for Mozilla or Firefox in Windows 10 msconfig.exe/System Configuration-Startup No listing for Firefox in Windows 10 Task Scheduler No Firefox program in Windows 10 - %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder All Firefox extensions (2) are disabled

Where else should I be looking? Thank you

WSJ opinion pages won't load fully on Firefox. The same webpage works on other browsers. This has been a recurring issue ever since I switched over to Firefox. It's the main reason why I still keep Google Chrome around.

I've tried updating to the newest version of Firefox and also iOS. Also, clearing my cache/cookies works sometimes but the problem keeps coming back.

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. I have noticed that my browser saves certain data that was filled into forms on websites such as contact info, or 2FA codes. Of course, the all options for Logins and Passwords as well as Forms and Autofill are turned off. So I wonder, what causes this behavior? I would maybe think these are some cookies, but after clearing them and deleting all site data this still happens. For 2FA codes this is harmless. but I'm concerned Firefox may do this for passwords too. Anyway, why would I need to save info of TOTP?

The removal of the download status bar at the bottom of the browser is a major UI failure and this feature needs to be returned.

I spent 30 minutes attempting to download/extract a settings file from an Addon until I noticed that Firefox was silently downloading it to my Downloads folder without any notification that it had started or completed.

The download bar was a known solution for this; The bar itself did not obscure the current webpage, provided immediate feedback on download initiation, progress, and completion. Provided quick access to open the file(s) or find options about the file(s), and the download bar could be dismissed quickly if the vertical page space was required/desired.

The hidden download tray is a horrible design idea, makes it difficult to see if your downloads have started successfully, when they have completed, and how to access them. Additionally, the introduction of 'hint' popups to support this feature actively obscure the webpage you're viewing, making them dramatically worse than the download bar, which left the page completely usable and only required a few pixels of height at the bottom.

This is a major design flaw.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

why does firefox open 15 sessions in task manager when i openy have 5 windows open!!

its seems rediculous the software opens 3 times the amount of windows i have open

i can understand DOUBLE the amount BUT TRIPLE???? give me a brake!

My system recently slowed considerably. When I checked what was happening, I found there were up to 14 Firefox 'windows' showing in my Task Manager, and collectively these 'windows' were consuming over 25% of the computer memory (650+MB) even with Firefox just opened as the initial browser screen; no addresses etc had yet to be added. I've followed many of the troubleshooting suggestions, but to no avail. I have not reset the browser as yet as I need to understand the root of the problem

I frequently manage cookies in Settings. In the Privacy and Security page of Settings, I click on the Manage Data button to delete unwanted cookies. It works, no problems.

My issue is that, when I re-size the window that lists current cookies, that window size does not hold. The next time I access Manage Data the window is back to its original, small size.

Up until v121, the window has retained the size it was previously.

I have the same problem on my laptop using Firefox v115x. It used to keep the same size window, but a few months ago stopped that behavior and always starts with the small-sized window.

It is not the worst problem to have, but I keep track of multiple cookies on a regular basis. Leaving the window the same (larger) size would be nice.

It also would be nice for that window to retain the view last used. I usually check cookies that were most recently used, but the window has always defaulted to the largest cache size for cookies.

These are minor niggles, but it would be nice if they could be addressed one day.

Attached is a screenshot of my extensions. These did not seem to interfere with Firefox functions before.

When I am trying to access a photo library for Bing Wallpaper photos I am blocked by Cloudfare error 525. I can using a different browser (MS Bing; Chrome; DuckDuckGo) and it works fine. Only errors out using Firefox since last two updates.'

When I want to go to the NY Times, and i type "nyt" the address bar automatically populated with the rest of the URL "nytimes.com". When I do the same thing with gmail and "gmail" it runs a search on a search engine instead of completing the rest of the URL.

Why would it do this for one website and not another? How do I fix this, I use gmail all the time so its a bit of a time waster.

I am having a problem with my Firefox homepage. There are several things going on like the red, yellow and green dots on the left side of the menu change to light dark. Some of My Bookmarks appears twice and one was added. I did a Refresh and troubleshooting but to see if my home page would go back to normal but it did not. I think I have a bug that is causing these changes on my Mozilla Browser. I need to get the browser back to normal.

I was having some hard drive trouble so I formatted my pc. I did not think much of the browser favorites and tabs because they should have been synced.

This time, however, I seem to be unable to retrieve the data from my old computer, there is even a computer in my synced items (I'm hoping from the system before restoring, windows 11 on what used to be windows 10) but am unable to get anything from it, or see the history ect

I really appreciate the container tab option for my browsing, as it affords me more privacy and I am a stickler about my privacy. However- I have been having an issue with links that I am attempting to open in a specific container that will load, and then immediately reload into the tab without a container. This has happened several times. The most recent example is that I clicked on a link from FB, a site I tend to avoid, and specified that I want it opened in a FB tab, as I don't trust them not to track me beyond that. However, the link loaded in the FB tab and immediately again with no container whatsoever. There was no request, no warning that I had set up the "multi-account container" and did I want to use it in the designated container... nothing. This has happened with links before as well.

Hello Before I reset my PC some months ago, I almost never had to Login to sites, as the kept me logged in. This no longer happens, and now I frequently have to Login to eg. my Google account which needs third party autho and all sorts. It is rather annoying having to Login to Google every time I close the Window.

I do not have this setting on: "delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" I do have this setting on: "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites"

It does save my Password and autofill, which makes it easier. But it is still annoying, that I have to login to everything every time.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, to no avail.

Please Help

Since updating to 121.0.1, only the top edge of the tabs in my menu bar are visible (see image). I tried reinstalling, restarting, and switching to a different theme. Any thoughts on why this is or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
