I was able to open all attachment that came with my Yahoo mail. Since this morning I can not open any attachments-word, excel or PDF What happened? How do I go back to be able to open all attachments

I used to be able to open a new tab and have it open to my standard home page. Now the only options are blank or the firefox page for a new tab. WHY??? I want to see my home page when I open a new tab.

After the tab crashes there appears a box from Firefox that says it will report the tab crash and then at the bottom of the info box there is the option of reconnecting or reestablishing the connection with the tab that had just crashed but nothing seems to be happening. I have a case of vanishing bookmarks. I quit Firefox last evening with command-Q as I’ve done a thousand times before. When I launched it this morning I was greeted with Firefox with an empty Bookmarks Toolbar and “Getting started” message. I opened a Manage Bookmarks window and everything there was empty too. I found, as well, that all of my saved UIDs and passwords were gone except for three, two of which I haven’t used in months. Weird.

Next I opened Firefox Help and found information about Troubleshooting Mode; I restarted in troubleshooting mode but nothing had changed. After restarting in normal mode, I tried Restoring Bookmarks; I chose Manage Bookmarks from the dropdown and then clicked the button in the Library window. Restore showed only one file and it was created today with only 14 items. Selecting Choose File… showed Desktop with Old Firefox Data highlighted. In that folder was only w34y3u9y…628 folder. From there I selected bookmarkbackups and the only file there was bookmarks-2024-06-06_11…lz4, a file created at 3:33 today. I found the key4.db file and it was created at 3:33 today.

I have Carbon Copy Cloner and use it for a weekly backup to a remote SSD drive. There are a year's-worth or so of weekly backups on that device. I tried trashing Firefox and reinstalling it from last week’s backup. While this worked, it didn’t solve the issue; it was still like a fresh copy of Firefox with no bookmarks.

I’m hopeful that I can restore the bulk of the lost bookmarks from CCC but I have no clue as to which files/folders to restore and I don’t want to guess. If you think this is possible, please tell me which files or folders to replace. Should I delete the files to be replaced from the current system and if so where are they located? I’m comfortable using Terminal for basic purposes but need explicit directions for entering commands and navigating to locations or files.

When I click on certain name on my friends list to do a video call when I click the camera on the message page, it says: Can not do video calls from this browser. So do some do not. I disabled all addons and still it says the same error. Is it because of Facebook encryptions? I also could before. So what now?

YouTube's search filters are missing when I use Firefox, but they work when I use Chrome. Is anyone else having a similar problem? (The images show the working Chrome site.)

This is not a bug or issue, rather a use case question. I have a webpage with information and I don't want to accidentally click or submit anything on the page.

This could also be considering having a form etc in draft form as view-only so you go into "View Only Mode" and work the webpage as a reference etc. without having to worry about any accidental submission or mistakes.

If someone knows of Add-ons or how we can achieve it with FF, it would be much appreciated. Posting, since I expect to have this case often.

Whenever I try to load up the https://edfinancial.studentaid.gov/welcome login page, I keep getting a white page with "The page was not displayed because the request entity is too large." I was wondering if anyone had any idea on how to fix it so I can look at my student loans.

I have added many add-ons, some of them are visible in the screenshot. But i can't pin them to the toolbar. And therefore not able to use them. For some reason only three of them are visible when i click the plugin button in the toolbar and only one of them namely 'ublock origin' is pinned by default. I have tried many things but still not able to pin any plugin

I started having new tab crashes a couple of weeks ago on Firefox and Brave browsers. I have looked in the extensions settings and do not have any added extensions so that did not cause the problem. I also run Norton antivirus and Norton Ultimate utilities software and regularly clean out files and scan my computer for malware. Not sure if Ultimate Utilities is the problem since I have had other problems in the past with that program. Also, I wonder if Windows updates caused this problem? This has also caused problems in the past. To get around this problem I have to copy the link then right click on my mouse and open a new window the paste the link. Very annoying and time consuming. How do I fix the continual tabs crashing problem?

When I open Firefox browser the browser restsets and changes color to pink in the web address line. I have asked this question before. Is there someone technically familar with Firefox that can resolve this issue?

I have two questions regarding the usage of a private window. I am using 126.0.1 on a mac desktop (and laptop) using 13.6.7 ventura. Long time user of firefox, but new to private windows.

1) I am using a popup blocker on firefox (UBlock Origin). Its icon shows on the browser window, but in a private window the icon disappears and I am getting popups. Do pop up blockers work in a private window? Is there a setting for that? 2) on my main browser Firefox home page I have 4 rows of shortcuts. On a private window home page there are none, and no settings icon to address this. Are shortcuts allowed on a private window home page and, if so, how to add?

Hi. I am getting vertical lines sometimes. I have included two screen shots. I have checked browser.display.document_color_use = 0, and it was zero. I have tired this in Chrome and it works fine. And I tried in Firefox safe mode, and it still does these strange lines on some websites. I am running Windows 10, and have no other graphic issues except these lines. Websites are Windy.com and google maps. Thanks very much! James
