For months I was experiencing the problem of "Thunderbird not responding" occasionally. It was a short duration issue (a few seconds to a minute). I reinstalled Thunderbird several times without success. I read almost every comment available online about this problem and I tried many ideas and recommendations I found without success. Most recently the problem became so serious that it was not a nuisance any longer. It was nearly impossble to work waiting for minutes to open an email or to continue typing while preparing a message and being interrupted by the problem I am describing. I ran Thunderbird in safe mode and determined that none of the add-ons is causing the problem. I turned the firewall OFF and determined that firewall was not causing the problem. I then decided to run Thunderbird in Offline mode and found that the program works normally. Then while in Offline mode I decided to download more messages and the program asked me if I wanted to switch to the Online mode. I said yes. New emails were downloaded and without going back to the Offline mode I was able to work normally without any occurrence of the "Thunderbird not responding" problem. I have been using this workaround for several days now. I download a number of eamails. I try working in Online mode and I cannot do it. I switch to Offline and work fine. I switch back to Online mode and I don't see the problem any longer for the whole day. Do you have any idea as to the origin of my proble? I am running Thunderbird 115.10.2 64 bit on Windows 11. Hello. Our organization is experiencing an issue where sound settings are not carrying over correctly to Firefox. Specifically, this is with speaker settings. In multiple calling platforms (tested in Genesys Cloud and Teams), we are not able to adjust the settings for the speaker that audio plays from. We can adjust the default microphone setting, but not the speaker setting. This is only occurring in Firefox (works fine in Edge and Chrome).

Additionally, we've tried adjusting the default audio settings by going to Windows > Sound settings > App volume and device preferences, and changing the settings specifically for Firefox on this page. This does not work. When we check Teams or Genesys Cloud, it seems like Firefox is just picking any default without a rhyme or reason.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am using Firefox nightly on Android. About two weeks ago I noticed that my toolbar got moved to the bottom after some update, while address bar is still at the top. I tried looking for it in settings but couldn't find anything about toolbar, that's weird since I was able to customize it a few years ago when I installed Firefox for the first time. So I looked it up on the internet and they say that it's in Settings/Customize/Toolbar, but in my browser settings instead of Toolbar there is Address bar settings. Has toolbar's settings been moved somewhere else? It looks like in previous versions it was under Customize section.

I can't use firefox to open google, sign in google before it's good, but after I upgrade, when I try to log in my google account using firefox, I can't type in any words, it's crashed. but outlook is ok. Please help. Thank you.

On startup TB pops an error box up saying ' There is no email program associated to perform this action'. When dismissed TB continues to open normally. No other errors seen during operation.

I have checked my Win 10 Control Panel Apps options. TB is the email default. MailTo, file type .eml and all other settings I can see are set to TB as well.

Hello everyone, I’ve been using Firefox for Android and I’m curious about the best ways to ensure my online privacy and security. I’ve heard about different settings and extensions, but I’m not sure which ones are most effective. Can anyone guide me on how to configure Firefox for maximum privacy and security? Unfortunately, I downloaded “SaveFrom.net Helper” without reviewing it.

Since downloading it I have been receiving a alerts from “McAfee WebAdvisor” about “dangerous pages blocked”.

I was able to remove the “SaveFrom.net Helper” add on in Firefox, but am unable to remove the “Savefrom.net Helper” bookmark tab which has high jacked my normal Firefox Bookmarks.

I can no longer easily see my Firefox Bookmarks and have to keep opening the Firefox Application Menu, then select Bookmarks, then select Manage Bookmarks in order to see my bookmarks.

Can you please advise how I can safely remove the “SaveFrom.net Helper” bookmark tab which has high jacked my Firefox Bookmarks.

While using Yahoo email I tried to access the 'Notepad' page and get a message saying to Download a new version of Firefox to see the 'Calendar' even though I was trying for the 'Notepad' not the 'Calendar'. If I try for the 'Calendar' I initially get the small right-sidebar version fine but if I ask for the full page version I get the error message again. This does not happen if I access Yahoo through Chrome-browser. I have repeatedly done the download to no avail. (I have version 99.0.1). I am attaching a screenshot of the error message. Thanks for any help. No rush.

but I have a windows 10 and the solution does not show up in the Taskbar settings. Is there an updated version for this? Here is the OPs original question.

"When I open a new Firefox window, it stacks it on top of all the others in the task bar at the bottom. I would like them to be BESIDE each other. It used to do that. Now I have to hover over the ONLY Firefox item on the bottom task bar and read the list to find the one I want to go to. This is a waste of time and tedious.

Crash? My Windows 10 tablet pro pop-up keyboard stops working for Hulu & YouTube so far. That's the main ones I'm on for that device. It won't keep popping up for me. Is there a way to be sure that Firefox messages always get to my main email? I want to be sure to get a notification, once someone can reply.

When using Google Meet, you are given the option to share your screen — either the entire screen, or a specific Firefox window.

I've noticed, however, that no matter what Firefox window is used, if you access an extension that creates a pop-up dialog, such as the Container selection button from Conex, the uBlock origin settings popup for each webpage, or a password manager pop-up such as Bitwarden, those popups will appear on the shared window, even if you decide to do this from another Firefox window altogether.

This is a major security concern for me, as I've had circumstances where the password entry window for Bitwarden will appear on any window, even if I open the extension pop-up from a window not being shared to Google Meet. I'm not sure where to submit this issue, so I'm starting from the Mozilla support page and going from there. Would appreciate anyone's help on getting this issue resolved. Thank you.

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. I think I'm stuck in a loop somewhere, please help! thanks in advance
