I have been using the Walgreens web site to manage my many prescriptions without problems. Now, most of the Walgreens web site still works but the two menu options that need to display my personal prescription details fail with the display "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." I initially thought that a Walgreens update might be in progress so just waited. Walgreens support gave me the same answer that there was probably web site maintenance in progress. After 4 days of the same problem and answer, I ported enough information to login in to Walgreens with the Microsoft Edge browser and access to my prescription information worked without a problem. I believe this problem with Firefox started around the time I updated to 117.0.1 but I might not have this perfectly correct. I was just notified to update to 118.0 and did so. Firefox access still fails and Edge access still works. Thanks for any help you can provide. Windows 10

I routinely leave my most used socials in pinned tabs, meaning I have 2 plurk tabs & 2 reddit tabs open all the time. When the browser restarts, 1 of the 2 tabs will reload in a new tab and ask if I'm sure I want to open in the container that the pinned tab that loads properly loaded in. (I hope you can parse that, that's the simplest way I could find to word it.) Since firefox won't let you ctrl+W on a pinned tab, I then have to unpin and close the tab that didn't load right, & pin the new tab.

I use the latest version of firefox in linux mint 21.1. I'm on the latest kernal, but this has always happened (since I switched from chrome back in June).

(I also wish you could simply close a pinned tab, I used that a lot on chrome too.)

I am trying to move all the synced tabs brought in from android chrome and Firefox pc into the current active tabs I have on Firefox android.

I've only been able to get 1 at a time to move over, but I have well over a hundred open in putting the two other browsers together..

Everything I've been able to look up about it only deals either the syncing part.

And, is there a way to have am active sync? As in, I open a tab in Firefox on laptop, it opens that tab on my Firefox mobile? And vice versa.

I have defined custom fonts for some languages, but they're not appearing as I defined them. Instead, the OS default fonts are showing up.

This is happening after I reinstalled Firefox in my device. Before that, the fonts were appearing as defined.

For example: English text is using Arial instead of Noto Sans, and Japanese text is using Meiryo instead of Noto Sans CJK JP.

For the Japanese font, it does show up correctly in the address bar, but not in the page itself.

I'm running into a very strange issue where on my personal computer, I'm unable to log in to the below website, receiving a "Secure Connection Error." I know normally, this would be a certificate issue on the website's side, but in this case, I don't believe it is. The issue being is I can access the site using Firefox on both my phone and other computers just fine. It just appears to be my desktop having the issue.

Are there any recommendations for fixing this issue? I've attempted clearing browser history, doing fully clean installs of Firefox, other browsers, shutting off my VPN, and DNS flush.

To note: this is a SSO site for logging into Opera products - in my case GameMaker Studio 2. I was, at least, able to login a few weeks ago. I'm using Windows 11, currently fully updated as of writing this. I'm using NordVPN, but so are other systems that allow me to sign in.

Using Ubuntu 22.04. I can upload and download files from /tmp and also from any directory on the home partition (or symlinked entirely within the home partition). However, I have a data partition with symlinks in the home partition, and Firefox throws a permissions error when I try to read or write from or write to one of those symlinked directories. So far, Firefox is the only app that exhibits this behavior.

I believe I need to change the "Security Context" in Firefox, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that.

I describe the problem more fully here:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1487763/firefox-cant-read-or-write-to-directories-symlinked-across-partitions

I will have to abandon Firefox if I can't fix this.

Thanks!

Latest crash report: bp-c7581c18-335d-41c6-826e-383c40231009

Firefox blinks and then crashes when attempting to visit various websites, specifically Unsplash.com (a stock photo site) but also inconsistently on other pages including Google search results pages. I have tried refreshing, uninstalling and reinstalling, ensuring all my drivers are up to date, and disabling hardware acceleration and webGL. The only time the browser works consistently without crashing is in Troubleshoot Mode.

Hi,

I am using Linux Mint 20.3, 64-bit and both Firefox and Chrome are not loading images for me on certain websites (i.e. okcupid). In particular, I am noticing that images will actually load for a split second and then disappear moments later.

I've tried disabling my adblockers, deleting my cookies and cache, running Firefox in Troubleshoot and Diagnose mode, running Chrome in Incognito mode, and evening uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Still the issue persists.

I followed the advice here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fi ... s-not-show

Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks, Chris

When I have Firefox minimized (with several tabs) and I click on its icon in the taskbar, FF does not immediately open, but little icons for each of the FF tabs show and I have to choose one of the tabs before FF fully opens. This is very annoying. If the program were to fully open, the one tab I was recently using would open and I could continue with my work. Is there any way to make FF fully open when I click on the FF icon in the taskbar? I am using FF 118.0 (64 bit) in Windows 11. Thanks for your help. Jerry

PS: the icon below shows what happens when I am clicking the FF icon and shows the two tabs open in FF.

Am I understanding this correctly?

HTML backup (bookmarks) doesn't support tags and annotations, but JSON backup does, and JSON backup doesn't preserve the website favicons, but HTML backup does?

So, what I can do, is restore my (saved) bookmarks using JSON backup, then restore the HTML backup, this would get my tags and annotations, and the website favicons back? But the downside, I will need to remove duplicates?

Hi, I seem to have an issue with Firefox rendering pages with artifacts. I use Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon, video adapter is Intel HD 4000. Currently running 6.2 kernel, tried to fall back to 5.15 which didn't change anything. Attached the examples, the first 2 are screenshots of the about:support page, the issue appear there consistently but not necessarily at the same place. I've tried to open Firefox in the Troubleshooting mode, and the artifact appeared right in the dialog asking for restart! (see pic. 3) Enabling software WebRender (gfx.webrender.software=true) fixes the issue.

about:support page:

when HW compositing is on: https://termbin.com/7ith
when SW compositing is on: https://termbin.com/rlme

I have tested memory with memtest86+ overnight with no errors, CPU has been tested by Prime95 for 3-4 hours, the iGPU seems to be working fine either in Unigine Heaven, GpuTest and glmark tests. Is there a way to fix the issue other than disabling HW compositing?

Hello,

On MacOS 14.0(Sonoma) Firefox 118.0.2 (64-bit), facing the problem with web.whatsapp.com chat messages. The timestamps for the messages are displayed in UTC and not as per the system time(IST, in my case).

- web telegram shows correct timestamps, opened in same browser session - web whatsapp on Chrome shows correct timestamps - fingerprinting is set to false(was not touched at all).

Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks. -Sachin

I have observed this bug only in Disqus, but another Disqus user has seen it in other web sites viewed via Firefox, so maybe you could check your logic. Here is the original bug:

When entering a Disqus comment [or possibly other text boxes] and using the Enter key to end the first paragraph, the text typed so far is erased. It can be recovered by immediately pressing Ctrl+Z (Undo), but this is not obvious; most users will think they just lost that text, and will retype it. This was sporadic for a year or two, but right now (morning of 10/2/2023) it seems to happen on every comment I type. In the past, it only occurred on the FIRST Enter key, at least if I recovered via Undo. The only contact I have with Disqus is in the comments on an episode of the Kevin and Kell webcomic (https://kevinandkell.com). I am running Windows 10 on a Bootcamp'ed Mac, and my browser is the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

Disqus user FreedomFighter replied:

That is a common problem unique to Firefox. When you hit enter and the post erases, right click in the box and click on "Undo" to get the text back, then you can do what you need to do whether is type more words, or post the comment.

[His recovery is essentially the same as mine, only using the mouse rather than the keyboard.]

Could this be an interaction between Firefox and Disqus? I have not personally seen this on any other website via Firefox, but FreedomFighter apparently has seen it elsewhere.

I recently moved my other PC to Windows 10, then put on Firefox (browser). When I drop down the menu below the address bar, I see random web sites I apparently have used -- not what I want to see. I want what my laptop (Firefox on Windows 10, also) shows which is a set of web sites that I visit often. That list is fixed and does not deviate. THAT is what I want for my the other PC with the new Windows 10 on it. What setting(s) in Firefox controls this? I have attached a screenshot of the preferred drop down menu that I cannot seem to duplicate on the new Windows 10.

Thanks to all in advance for whatever advice you might offer.

Greetings:

I regularly access the ‘Bill O’Reilly DotCom’ site via Mozilla Firefox. Recently following a service interruption (now corrected), I could not open the site at the homepage (https://www.billoreilly.com) through any browser. Eventually, the issue self-corrected on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, but persists at Firefox. Whenever I enter "https://www.billoreilly.com" into the address line, I am instead booted over to a site at "https://na.billoreilly.com/" (see image), an all-white blank page save for the 'Bill O'Reilly DotCom' logo and a message reading:

"BillOReilly.com is not available in this country. We apologize for any inconvenience."

The insertion of the 'na.' into the homepage address might indicate a default change in access possibly caused by a virtual private network being shifted to a different region, with 'na' connoting another country. But my VPN is set for 'United States' and is presently disconnected. Repeatedly removing the ‘na.’ from the address line and manually entering the correct home page address is useless – it continues to reinsert the ‘na.’ And as indicated, my Chrome and Edge browsers have no such problem accessing this homepage, so this is obviously an issue relative to Firefox.

Fortunately, I can freely access 'Bill O'Reilly Dotcom' content through their other links. But the loss of the homepage is nonetheless a nuisance. Please impart any information or wisdom you may have on ameliorating this issue. I have contacted 'Bill O'Reilly Dotcom' about this matter as well

Firefox has been closing at random times. I do not see any crash logs in Firefox or event logs in Windows as to why this is happening. I can immediately re-open and it picks back up right where I left off. I am on Windows 10 enterprise 2h22, running Firefox 118.0.1 64-bit (this has happened in previous versions as well). I do have some add-ons, Tabliss, Cookie Quick Manager, Dark Reader, Sidebery, Lastpass, and Firefox Multi-Account Containers. I have checked each of these and uninstalled all of them but still happens. I have also uninstalled and re-installed and I am stumped. (I also have this same set up running on another computer but it has never done this to me)

Any ideas on what else I can try? Or other ways to investigate what is happening?
