1) recently i can't play videos on websites, checked i ve most updated app & no adds on & cleared my cache but the problem standstill


2) logging in some applications may require redirection to their site , despite i ve Firefox as my default browser those apps are using chrome instead of Firefox recently

I am using Firefox on windows 11 I am facing a issue of slowness in Firefox every website takes at least 10 seconds to show up the browser just loads the webpage for a long time before showing any content I thought it was a DNS issue but the same issue is not coming in any chromium browser. I have reinstalled my browser, installed different Firefox versions including (beta,nightly) but the issue still persists.

Please let me know what I can I do to resolve this.

On some sites like youtube, crunchryroll, and other sites usually where it's main purpose is to play videos my sound plays fine. However, on other sites like osu's website, chess.com, duolingo, and others, there's no sound at all. I've tried refreshing, restarting, running in safe mode, and even reinstalling the browser but none of it has worked. My tabs are also not muted. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Steps to reproduce : 1. Run Firefox Developer Editon. 2. Try searching using the navigation bar on the home screen. 3. Enjoy that nothing happens.

Expected Result : Happy life at Firefox

Actual Result: Tedious LOADING


I've been using Firefox Developer Edition for the past two years without problems. From some point on(about 1 week ago), All browser's search functions suddenly don't work. Navigation bar? Not work. Searchig from Bookmark? Not work. Do not use google? Not work even with duckduckgo. with out DNS? Not work even with 142.250.206.206. There is only one website that i can access with Firefox Developer Edition. It is Mozilla's official website At this moments, I curious that "why isnt work>?" So i used Developer tools, And then I found something amazing. There was no request or response on the Network tab! (Of course, I pressed Ctrl + R) And then, on second thought, I found that the JS function that should have been small in the lower left of the browser screen was not displayed. Finally, I thought, hmm... My Firefox is broken! So i found the FireFox, and then i uninstall it, and reinstall it! All the External Plugin works, OK then What if FireFox????? Unfortunately, Firefox Developer Edition's problem remained the same. I'm sorry that i couldn't even give you a possible cause of the problem. But i SUFFER for a week! Please resolve the issue.....

Ever since Offidocs has taken over from Acrobat, Firefox will not open any documents from websites like menus etc. I am using Firefox on my Macbook pro with Ventura 13.5.1. The same documents open correctly with Safari. I also get an error message in Firefox and I have attached a screen shot. Any time I want to read a document I have to open the same website in Safari but I would prefer to be able to just stay in Firefox. Is there a solution? By the way, I have set my preferences in applications to use Preview to open PDFs but that does not seem to have made any difference.

Good day.

I have created a custom Search Engine via a GPO.

The search engine is added to Firefox without issue. However, when a user enters in a search with a space, Firefox replaces the space with a "plus" instead of a %20. The search engine does not know how to interpret a "plus," so the search engine returns 'no results found.' I use the same search string in a Chrome GPO, and it works as Chrome replaces a space with a %20. Is there a way I can tweak the Search engine GPO to use %20 instead of a "plus" for a space?

OS - LinuxLite 6.4 fully updated as of this writing FF - 117.0

I just created a new installation of LinuxLite. Upon finding that Firefox was no longer the default browser I installed it. Apparently snapd is a pre-req and it too was installed. The installer does not automatically create a link to launch it and I have to do a search for FF. When I launch it, it seems to run fine. However when I try to restore my bookmarks from a recently created backup, which came from another system, I cannot. From bookmark manager when I select restore and then choose file, nothing happens. No popup window to select the file appears. Likewise when I try to import from an HTML file and choose file, again nothing happens. I imported the bookmarks to Chrome from the HTML file then tried to have FF import from another browser but FF says it can find NO other browser with bookmark, history or password data. Any suggestions?

I've always upkept my userChrome.css with two main effects in mind:

- tabs on bottom - general transparency of the bars

The latest update luckily spared both (it actually turned the tabs' close button red, but whatever...) but, now, 3 icons that I had placed on the right end of the tab bar have disappeared; I've already checked the toolbar customization menu, but they haven't been moved there. Anyway, this time I haven't been able to solve it on my own, unfortunately...

I'm not able to log into at least two different websites after installing Firefox on a brand new computer (e.g., actblue.com). The page merely reloads as if I didn't enter the log in information correctly.

  • The websites log in just fine on Chrome, so I know it's not an issue with the websites per se. So it seems to be limited to only when I use the Firefox browser.
  • I've disabled extensions, removed them, and tested in Safe Mode, but the problem persists. That leads me to believe the problem is something with the Firefox browser specifically.
  • Cookie restrictions are only on Standard, not Strict; I even using a Custom setting to allow cookies to be tracked.
  • I've tried clearing the cache and cookies.
  • I've deleted the cookie file, thinking it might be corrupted.
  • I've restarted Firefox several times.
  • I've restarted the laptop twice.

None of that has worked. I'm out of ideas.

This issue has been reported many times. It has been occurring quite frequently, to the point where I've had to abandon Firefox and use a different browser.

Skipping/seeking videos on Twitter creates blocky artifacts. Attached is an image side by side of the video open in Firefox and in Chrome after being skipped to the same timestamp. Issue also does not occur on Microsoft Edge. All browsers have Hardware Acceleration enabled. Is there a fix?

The newsletter includes links to my home page, which is a fully qualified domain, https://www.prettypennydesigns.net/ When I check my newsletter, the link to my website goes to Firefox's home page. HI. I recently purchased a new laptop and have Windows 11 Home (64 bit) installed. I installed the latest version of Firefox (v117). I am attempting to copy the bookmarks from another laptop - same version of Windows and the same version of Firefox. 1. I exported the toolbar bookmarks from old laptop which created an HTML file - file type shows as

   Firefox HTML Document.

2. On the new laptop I went through the process, Manage bookmarks,

     highlighted the Bookmarks Toolbar, selected  Import bookmarks from HTML, selected the file I wanted
     then 'OPENED'  the file I wanted to use. 

3. The process ended very quickly, file was not large. I clicked on the HOME icon and NO bookmarks

    were displayed on the toolbar, no bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks either. 

4. The only change was - all bookmarks from the old laptop were listed under 'Recent bookmarks' which

    made no sense since I had not visited them on the new laptop. 

5. I went through the process twice and I now see duplicate entries in the 'Recent bookmarks', no bookmarks.

So, what have I missed or does the export / import process simply not work? I have not tried the backup / restore process since this is the all or nothing approach and I may want to copy a few bookmarks in the future using the export / import process.

Does anyone have any ideas since I'm stopped at this point in time.

I use an translator extension for firefox for russian so I do not need this integrated tool and it's annoying to see it everytime I open a russian page. Please help me, I don't know what the source is of this translator but I can tell it's not from an extensions as I deleted every extension and tried, not worked.
