Initial Thunderbird installation, in program 86 folder, became corrupt with a bad upgrade. Downloaded and installed a new one and it installed in the program folder (not 86) and works OK getting new emails, how do I get the original folders and saved emails from the corrupted version?

I'm trying to download Firefox, but it simply refuses to open. I've only gotten it to open twice, when I downloaded it from the Microsoft Store (which still doesn't work unless I've absolutely cleared my computer of any trace of the Firefox I download from there), but when I tried to open it back up again after turning my laptop off/putting it to sleep, it didn't open.

  I install it from this website otherwise.  I'm on Windows 10 with a laptop, and I've already checked that my storage isn't the issue (I've had it bug apps out on me one too many times).  I've uninstalled everything my computer would tell me exists in relation to Firefox before reinstalling it, but it still doesn't open.
  And when I say it doesn't open, I don't mean it loads slowly or doesn't pull any website up.  I mean for half a second, I see the outline of a window (sometimes windowed, sometimes not, usually with the minimize, windowed, and x on it but not 100% of the time), occasionally a black inside, before it's gone.  I check my running apps and it's not there.  I've tried running it as Admin, making it my default browser, trying to find if there's a 'fix' option for it (as far as I'm tracking, there isn't), running compatibility troubleshooting, restarting my computer, refreshing when it asks me to try, reinstalling when that doesn't work, and properly more I'm forgetting about.
  I really like Firefox, genuinely, I do, I used to use it on an old computer, but I can't open it and therefore can't use it.
  When I opened it off the Microsoft Store, I did sync my Chrome information to it, but I believe I deleted that (I may be mistaken, though), and even if that did pose a problem it still didn't work when I originally tried to download it off of here.  Sorry for the long(?) question, I'm just trying to cover every detail I can think to cover.
  (Warning, I'm a little bad with following detailed instructions, so if any help could be simplified if possible that would help me a lot, thank you for any help anyone can provide!)

Ever since 'upgrading to TB 102.2.2, I get the blue spinning wheel for 3-10 seconds after almost anything I do (send mail, get messages, delete mail, archive mail, etc.). I use TB on two different computers at home - a Macbook Air with OS Monterey (version 12.5.1) and a PC running Windows Pro 7 (yes, it still works). This problem is happening on both computers. I have super-fast internet. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Whenever i restart Firefox, my download history gets deleted, but the downloaded files in the file manager don't. I have tried creating new profiles and altering my settings, nothing really works, its the same for all the files, and for all the new profiles i create too. Is there a permanent solution?

Ever since the last automatic upgrade to my Thunderbird just over a week ago I now get a message every time I switch on which says, "Thunderbird can't update to the latest version" - "Download a fresh copy and we will help you install it". However, this refers to your latest version 102.3.0 and when I check my installed version, About Thunderbird says that I am already on 102.3.0 and below it says, "Thunderbird is up to date". How can I stop this annoying message? Michael

Thunderbird prompted for upgrade; then apparently acted like it needed a donation before proceeding; acted like it got a virus, hundreds of login fails; locked up...need password help to log in to Thunderbird and I don't know about IMAP, email keeping my password, etc. I found something on the computer like that but it didn't have a PW saved. I deleted Thunderbird and downloaded a fresh one but after running the exe for Installing it, "install" failed I don't know what to do now.

Upgraded to v102 yesterday, and am really annoyed with the way so many things are behaving differently.

Latest annoyance is that when I'm looking at a folder, and archive an email (by pressing A if that makes any difference), TB then highlights the next email down, which is fine. However, it seems to think I want it to open the email, and so pops up a window to show me the message.

Can I stop it doing this? It never did this before, and I really don't want it popping up email windows without asking me. I just discovered about fives windows, all showing the same email, all hiding behind my main TB window.

Thanks for any help. In case it makes any difference, attached is the only bit of the settings that looks like it might be relevant. Can't see anything there that would control this though.

I can download an E-Trade brokerage statement from my DELL LAPTOP, Windows 10 and Firefox ((identical to my Desktop) whereby I can view the pages of the statement , however, from my DESKTOP I cannot download an E=Trade brokerage statement for me to view the pages of the statement.

Below is the address or link for downloading an E=Trade brokerage statement, on my screen, from my DELL LAPTOP, whereby the pages of the statement appear, This is the identical link / address that I copied from my DESKTOP, however the statement does not appear: "Download failed"

Every Morning I have a pop up, advising me to install the latest version. I have been ignoring it. The question I pose is, If I down the latest software, and I get the impression that it a completely new programe and I will have to start from scratch. I need some reassurance that all of the data and emails etc will not be lost for ever. This happened to me prior to changing to you guys with another company. Sorry to be a pest Thank again for assistance.

Oh, as an after thought, it would be great if you could come up with a solution for junk mail blocking.

have been following the posted support instructions to transfer Mac OS X 12.6 eMail into Thunderbird 102.3. No mail or folders have been transferred. Local Mail shows empty "Apple Mail Import" folders for each import trial. Am I doing something wrong? or is the import broken? Have tried "Import from Apple Mail" then "Import from profile" nothing imports. Have tried "Import from Apple Mail" then "Choose a profile folder" nothing imports.

Yesterday (9/26/22) Thunderbird asked to update (to 102). I started the process, and then I hit the "Restart to update Thunderbird" button. TB came back up but now is completely blank. I went to "Help" > "About" (see image) and did it again - same thing. I shut everything relating to TB (services, etc.) retried and got the same thing. I made sure everything TB was shut down again and did an install of the latest version from your site. Same thing. I shut down "hardware acceleration" - same thing. I go to "settings" and they are there. I go to "Account Settings" they are there. If I click on the 3 dots (...) on the header "Folders" above where the folders are supposed to be (they are not there - it is completely blank), there is no drop-down.

Interestingly, I can click "Write" and send a message to another account. I have to go to the email providers site to get the message.

I am now in serious trouble. Please help me. I am a stage 4 leukemia patient and I desperately need this program to work correctly.

I had my domain linked to gmail and since google stopped working due to them wanting to charge for that service now like they don't have enough money!!!!. I always save my emails locally on my hard drive as well as on google server but thunderbird couldn't access them anymore since i declined their subscription and can't get back into gmail to try and export!. I still have them on my hard drive and have now changed hosts to ( ionos ) now my domain is set up on their host but it can't read my folder or sync it and Ionos tried to help but couldn't help. is there a way I can get the emails saved on my PC to sync up with ionos new server and if not is there a way to still access my saved email if not I don't understand the point of saving emails local if they can't be accessed in teh event of problems. any help here would be appreciated. added two screen shots of locally saved content. thanks
