Hello, this may not be a problem with Firefox itself at all, but I'd like to try to understand what the cause of the problem I and others are having.

I have Norton 360 installed, in this Windows 10 computer and like to use Firefox for internet browsing, it has always served me well.

I also have Norton Safe Search integrated/add-on to Firefox. This puts a red, green, or gray check mark at the end of each link that comes up during a search and has always worked before.

Recently, I've noticed that such check marks do not appear at all when doing a search with Firefox, but they are present when I do searches with MS Edge.

I am searching for a solution here, and also in the Norton Community. There are others there who have stated they are having the same problem.

Has anyone here heard of this before, would you have any suggestion as to what may be causing the lack of the Norton Safe Search check marks in Firefox searches?

Any input/suggestions would be welcome.

Want to:

  • Sort email by newest on top
  • Include sub-emails within threads for the newest on top (currently still oldest on top)
  • Apply this default setting to all. I don't want to sort every account, every folder manually. That's too tedious.

Thunderbird has oldest on top. This includes emails within a thread/conversation. Changing the sort to newest on top does not change the emails within the thread/conversation. The sort does not apply to all emails. I find this very annoying.

Since a day or two the font size on my Menu Bar is way too small. I have been searching around and the solutions are not working or not what I want. I do not want to zoom in, I want my page size to remain the same, I only need the font size on the menu bar back to what it was. I tried the userChrome.css method and it did not work

Hello There all So I recently installed Win11 and Tbird 115.7.0

My issue is this: When I double click a PDF in a received email it opens up in my default PDF reader (Foxit) so it's all good. When I'm composing an email and add a PDF I like to check to see that I'm sending the correct PDF attachment so I double click and it won't open, I get this message (Attached Image) I went to Tools/Settings/General/Files&Attachments and PDF (Foxit) is set as the default so all good

So again Inbox messages opens PDF's no problem Composing messages won't open PDF's

I used to do this all the time on Win10 and it worked perfectly See my settings in image 2 Thanks In Advance :-)

For some reason Thunderbird 115 Supernova has lost the ability to open attached files. The menu that comes up when I ask to open attached files no longer has the appropriate application available, see attached screenshots, how do I fix this?

I am using Ubuntu 22.04 with a Plasma desktop.

Within the Add-on Manager by clicking Manage Extension Shortcuts - you can make shortcuts for add-ons to perform specific functions via the buttons on your keyboard, but I want to actually be able to use the buttons on my actual mouse rather than the keyboard.

Does anybody know if this is possible? Currently when I try to use my mouse to input a 'shortcut' in the 'Type a shortcut' box nothing works.

Are there any about:config settings or add-ons that can enable me to use my Mouse to make shortcuts for my add-ons?

I want to use thunderbird both for my personal mail and work mail, but I don't want to carry my work with me 24/7 so I don't want to be bothered by email notifications or "unread messages" indicators when I'm off work.

Right now it seems like I can only disable these things for the app as a whole, not per account, but I do want those notifications and indicators 24/7 for my personal account. Are there any more advanced controls for creating rules for how and when new and unread emails are notified to me on a per account basis?

Hello, Linux environment is running on my chromebook, thunderbird has been installed. 2 issues: - When I try to install an extension, I always get a message "This extension will have permission to have unlimited access to thunderbird and the computer". and I'm stuck. The add button does not trigger any action. This does the same thing if I want to install a dictionary from the settings. - I have no access shared folders like my Drive on my Chromebook, despite having Linux sharing enabled. How to disable the "what's new in Thunderbird..." browser pop up. It has been many weeks and It has not been disabled on its own. I can't find the option in settings. I also already have thunderbird start page disabled under general settings.

Every time I open thunderbird a pop up goes off for the new thunderbird supernova update. (my updates are set for auto).

I'm running Thunderbird 115.4.1 (64-bit), using Unified Folder options for most of my mail organization for three POP accounts.

When I manually clear the (unified) Junk folder, as soon as I answer "yes" to the little warning option (I have chosen to engage it), everything in the folder instantly disappears, along with the number-in-the-circle showing the number of unread messages.

When I take this same action with the (unified) Trash folder, I click "yes" and nothing at all appears to happen. All the messages continue to sit there. Once I navigate away to any other folder, and then come back to Trash, sure enough, it's empty. But the little number-in-the-circle that shows how many unread messages had been in the folder before it was cleared still sits there in the left column. That number does disappear, however, as soon as I navigate away from the Trash folder.

Just wondering why two similar folders act differently when emptied; seems Trash doesn't have the same smarts as Junk.

i use New Tab Override, reinstalled my software, firefox, and lost the button to get a new tab that goes on the address bar. its no longer in customize. ive removed the addon and put it back on, started in troubleshoot mode, disabled all other addons, and it never showed back up

Can you please let me know why the coloring of my text which was so simple in the earlier versions is no longer possible.

In such situations can you allow me to use an older version till you fix these bugs?

This is very frustrating and will be grateful if you can help.

I have been a donor and really want to see Thunderbird succeed.
