Close down freezes
After updating to Thunderbird 115.10.0 (64-bit) the Exit freezes. I have to kill the app in Task manager every time I want to exit Thunderbird.

I upgraded to Thunderbird 115.10.0 (x64) earlier today and now the program is no longer closing completely (I've tried using the X at the top right of the window, and I've also tried File menu -> Exit). I first discovered this when I was using CCleaner to clean my temporary items and it asked me if I wanted to close Thunderbird after I had already closed it. I then checked my running processes and there are three Thunderbird processes that remain after the program has supposedy closed (Task Manager screenshot attached).
Any help with this seemingly new bug is greatly appreciated!

I looked at the Events and Tasks tab but I can't see how to do what I want with a task. All the prepared emails can be sent at the same time. Can it be done? Thanks Peter M

Hello, I've found this article [[Knowledge Base Article|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/maildir-thunderbird]] which substantially says that the use of maildir is deprecated. Has anything changed from the time that article was posted? I'd like to use maildir, it seems to me a more rational way to store e-mails (and it's also better to make incremental backups).

I have 4 accounts with different names but all with the same domain name (name1@samedomain.com, name2@samedomain.com ...). The first one set up perfectly and works. The 2nd and the 3rd can't retrieve mail from the server (didn't try the 4th yet). The SSL ports are the same for all. The passwords happen to be the same for all. (I haven't tried changing the 2nd and 3rd passwords as that seems unlikely to be the problem.) When initially setting up the 2nd or the 3rd I get a "Sending of password for user name2@samedomain.com did not succeed. Mail server pop.yyy.zzz responded: [AUTH Authentification failed." I've checked the passwords on both the client and the server ends multiple times and they are the same. Then, of course, periodically I get a pop-up with "Login to server pop.xxx.yyy with username name2@samedomain.com failed. When I go to the Account Settings screen with the 3 accounts and click on each Server Settings one after another, the only thing that changes is the User Name, yet the first account receives mail and the other 2 don't so everything is correctly set up. As an aside, I CAN SEND emails from the 2nd and 3rd accounts but can only RECEIVE and SEND from the 1st. Any help appreciated.

On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

Hi, I am running Thunderbird v. 115.9.0 on Windows 10 on my desktop. I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. I am writing to report an issue I have encountered while using the Firefox browser. Specifically, I am unable to take screenshots on the website https://hescoebill.pk/hesco-mis/. This issue persists despite numerous attempts, and it seems to be unique to this particular website. Is there any other way to take screenshot of site? I really want to take a screenshot for personal reason. Is it not allowed from the site owner side or what?

Fresh install without addons or plugins. Switching to "Troubleshoot mode" does not change anything. Youtube with sound, Facebook without sound.
Any ideas where to look?

The Sync was on but then which one saved my form (hash)?
If Firefox is savings "forms" (input fields) not just "logins" then it should be explicitly written. Is it an expected behavior?

In my attempt to help my wife with her email problems I have managed to totally screw up her profile. There now duplicate inboxes, duplicate local folders, duplicate Outlook Express Import files, etc.
Is it feasible to export/backup the inbox, address book, files&folders, Outlook Express Import files (but not the profile), then uninstall Thunderbird in order to start over? If so, how is the best way to do this?
She only has one email account on Thunderbird and is running Windows 10.

The RAM usage increases, from 1GB to 40GB+ within a matter of minutes of starting Firefox. I have not added any extensions in months. I turned of several with no improvement. I have 6 tabs opened. Firefox has crashed several times the past couple fo months. I have been away on travel for 2 weeks, and today the problem is much worse.
Firefox (37916) 51GB, Extensions (34308) 370MB, GPU (33072) 298MB , and everything else < 100 MB.
I really love Firefox - use across my 4 devices. Only on my desktop am I seeing this. Laptop, iPad, and Android all work fine. Running Win 11
