Hi so am using version 125.0.1 and on my windows 10 machine I can add custom Search Shortcuts (the Add button is present) but on my windows 11 machine, the same settings page the Add button is dissapeared... Is it a limitation for Windows 11 machines?

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

I just asked this question a few minutes ago. This is a correction. It's only the font size in my signature that has shrunk since the latest Thunderbird update. The image in the signature is still the same size as it was before the update. I would like to know HOW to make the signature font size the same as the message font size.

Hi, I am running Thunderbird v. 115.9.0 on Windows 10 on my desktop. I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. Please find attached screenshot. I have added 10 email accounts for 5 domains. Most of them are unified since I used the "unified [folders]" option. Unfortunately, Thunderbird ignores several email accounts. This seems like a bug to me.

I have Thunderbird 125.0 (64-bit) on Win 11.

Everything works perfectly, BUT..

If I select File->Exit then it just goes into not responding mode and I have to end task to restart TB.

If I just click X then the window closes but If I click my thunderbird icon to bring it back up, nothing happens.

I often have multiple TB processes which I have to kill.

On system restart, everything is fine unless I try to exit TB.

In case it matters, I have private ISP email acc, and 1 hotmail and 1 gmail acc.

Any thoughts appreciated.

125.0 (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0

Video on Facebook plays without sound. The video plays, I see the image normally, but no sound. Video on Youtube works perfectly.

Fresh install without addons or plugins. Switching to "Troubleshoot mode" does not change anything. Youtube with sound, Facebook without sound.

Any ideas where to look?

Does Mozilla Firefox for Android have plug-ins?

I want to prepare emails in advance (in the Outbox folder?) and have Thunderbird send them later, at a time that I specify when I prepare them. I looked at the Events and Tasks tab but I can't see how to do what I want with a task. All the prepared emails can be sent at the same time. Can it be done? Thanks Peter M

Hello, I've found this article [[Knowledge Base Article|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/maildir-thunderbird]] which substantially says that the use of maildir is deprecated. Has anything changed from the time that article was posted? I'd like to use maildir, it seems to me a more rational way to store e-mails (and it's also better to make incremental backups).

Ubuntu 22.04, TB 115.10.0 (64-bit). A system update occurred recently, and TB was in the list to upgrade. Now, TB transacts email & such w/o problem. However, when I use the window exit ('X' upper right corner) or the File ->Quit choice, a status bar shows "Clearing Trash" or the like, and remains on the desktop. Eventually a system message appears that TB is not responding (wait or force quit). Nothing happens until force quit is used.

Same behavior screen is seen if I try to use the TB troubleshooting menu option.

Any suggestions how to diagnose this? Thx.

Hi 😊 I’m trying to resolve my sisters’ issue with Thunderbird, and I know nothing about Thunderbird. When I open Thunderbird, I have an issue in that the Archive folder is there but no content is shown

Yet if I go to where the files are they seem to be there. They were working but I accidentally deleted the folder and out of the trash folder as well. If I go into “C:\Users\Sue\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Archives.sbd” where the emails and folders are, they seem to be there but not showing in Thunderbird when I click on any folder in Archive and are appear top be very small, i.e. empty.

I have screen shots if you require but thought not appropriate at this stage.

I keep getting notifications asking me to update firefox every couple of days. I download the update, it goes smoothly, the notification disappears, but it comes back in a day or two. I also have my setting to supposedly do updates automatically, but that doesn't seem to be working. Please help!

Hi, i just got a new laptop (Asus Zephryus G16, 2560 x 1600 screen) and after installing Firefox there is a thin white border to the left of the screen when running in fit screen. This problem is not present when in a windowed mode or in F11 full screen.

I tried updating the Intel Arc drivers but this did not fix the problem. Changing to compatibility mode also did not fix te problem.

PS: in the uploaded screenshots it is quite dificult to see the white line(because the background is also white), but when the image is viewed in a new tab it is visible.

I've recently switched from Apple Mail to Thunderbird, and I'm realizing that one of the convenient little features that Apple Mail had that is missing in Thunderbird is that it would intelligently select which email account you are sending an email from depending on the currently viewed mailbox or who you've addressed it to.

For example, let's say I have two email accounts: a personal Gmail address, and a work account with an address that looks something like myname@company.com, with the Gmail account being the default.

If I start writing an email from my Gmail inbox or am addressing it to people whose addresses are totally unrelated from my work account, I'd like it to use the Gmail account, which is what it does.

However, if I'm currently browsing one of the mailboxes for my work account, or I address a new email to one of my coworkers who also has an @company.com email address, I'd like it to automatically set the 'from' address of my new email to my work email.

Thunderbird already picks the correct account when I'm replying. I'm hoping that it can also do so when starting a new email.

Is there any way to do this?

When trying to install any extensions on either the Mozilla Addons website or directly via the Extension settings, it fails to do so.

I've attached a screenshot of the Mozilla Addons website when it fails to install the extension. On some other addons that I've attempted in the past, it just shows the throbber forever.

I have checked the Multiprocess Browser Console and it says that it fails to move the file because it's locked (NS_ERROR_FILE_IS_LOCKED). I have also attached a screenshot of that.

I press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+i and then press on the top left icon, but then I can only have one click to identify an element. What to do if I need two or three clicks to get to an element?
