Trying to delete an email account that is no longer used. System continues to attempt to read from the provider because I cannot remove the account and is delivering error messages every few minutes which is very annoying.

I've gone through Account settings>Remove account>Confirm remove BUT the only active option is Cancel. The Remove and More Info buttons are greyed out.

When I try to set up my inbox for my email within Remote Desktop, Thunderbird does find the correct settings, starts to log in and stops with a warning "User canceled primary password entry" and then hangs while Sending login information...

Below that warning, it says Password OK but nothing happens beyond there. Unless I stop it, it stays at the Sending login information... stage for 5-10 minutes before timing out.

What is causing this cancelling of primary password entry? (as in nothing I'm doing).

About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

Android Firefox not auto filling out Username & Passwords. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Flip 5. This is my new fone since 4/25/2024. I have all the updates installed. Thank you in advance for your help!

I recently lost my firefox configuration and now see the Amazon.DE search engine rather than Amazon.com. I have no idea why...

I followed assorted support guides but haven't been able to add the Amazon.com search engine: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-or-remove-search-engine-firefox#w_add-search-engines

1) I clicked the link "find more search engines": https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search-engines/. This took me to a generic list of extensions and didn't find an official amazon search option for the search bar. Those suggested had few downloads and weren't vetted by mozilla

2) I visited Amazon.com and then clicked the magnifying glass with the green plus sign in the search bar. Then tried to add amazon.com as a search engine but got this error:

Firefox could not download the search plugin from: https://d2lo25i6d3q8zm.cloudfront.net/browser-plugins/AmazonSearchSuggestionsOSD.Firefox.xml

Can someone explain how to get this working again; I just want the normal amazon.com search in the search bar

How do i delete 155 emails from the same sender? Or 52 emails from the same sender? Or how do i delete multiple emails from the same sender, but they are not junk and i do not want to inhibit my receiving emails from the sender? Thank you

Recently I have found that I cannot download statements from my bank account, also at the same time (2/3 months ago) I cannot access a Tesco website from Firefox. I can carry out these functions easily from Microsoft Edge, so why the sudden change ? Can anyone please help me to fix this in Firefox?

Firefox is broken. For months now anytime I watch a Live stream on Youtube it freezes within seconds and acts like it's buffering. Internet connection is great. Same live streams work perfect on Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and others. Only Firefox browser is doing this.

I use Thunderbird for my email. I have two computers and have donated on each on of them over the last few weeks. The Donate page appears when I am in my email and takes up the bottom half of the display. How do I get rid of this and stop it from coming back? Thanks for your help. Gary

This applies to the latest Firefox for Android version (this issue did not occur with the previous version). I manually closed my tabs and closed the Firefox app when I exit. However, when I open the app again, the previously closed tabs are there as if they were never closed. This is fixed if I delete browsing data but, obviously, this is not an ideal solution. I have tried to attach a short clip of this issue in action but it will not upload. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Whenever I change my VPN (not Mozilla VPN) status, Firefox will refuse to connect for something like 30 seconds then times out, leaving me with a blank screen. I have wait until that interval has passed before I can retry, otherwise it will repeat the freeze. This happens whenever I turn my VPN on/off or switch to a different VPN server. It happens only with Firefox. Chrome and my email client have no problems whatsoever. I think it's some kind of DNS caching problem within Firefox as the problem doesn't happen if I visit a site that I hadn't visited very recently. There's immediate response if I do that. I have DNS over HTTPS and secure DNS turned off in the settings, so it can't be those.

Anyone else have this problem? I wish there was some way to clear Firefox's DNS cache other than having to go into about:networking

All of a sudden all of my Comcast accounts are receiving the message: "Alert from account XXXXXX: Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - Try again later". Contacted Comcast and elevated all the way up to the top technical group and was told it was a Thunderbird issue. Tried resetting passwords, etc to no avail.

Every year I am required to update my university's net id password. Normally T'bird responds asking for a password update. Not this year; I am just cut off.

I followed all instructions from the T-help site. But it is impossible to update the "saved password." "edit" is not allowed.

When T-bird did ask me to connect via Google, see the screen shot, the next screen locks with a 403 error message, also attached.

I would like to continue to use Tbird, but this is making it impossible. My university's IT people had me download the T-bird again, but the problem persists.

Please advise soon.

I'm facing a severe battery drain issue that occurs with all of the current Firefox versions for Android (Stable, Beta, Nightly). I have noticed that the problem mainly arises when I have played any type of video through the browser, such as a YouTube video or any auto-playing html video through a website. And I don't mean that the battery drain occurs WHILE I have the browser open, I mean in the background, after I have exited Firefox. I have also installed GSAM battery monitor with the necessary ADB battery stats permission given, and it seems that the "Video On" wakelock is always on with Firefox. It's like that the thread that plays the video has not stopped, even if I have force closed Firefox, and killed the video tab. For example, I'm attaching two screenshots from the battery monitor, where I have previously opened Firefox and played a video for like 15 seconds (see the "Audion On"), then immediately closed all the tabs and force closed the application. As you can see, the "Video On" has not stopped, like the "Audio On" wakelock, and continues to count (35 minutes). This may go on forever, such as if I leave the phone at night, I'll wake up the next day with Firefox video wakelock displaying something like 15 hours of playback (something that of course, is not true). The only way to stop the drain, is to restart the phone and not open Firefox.

Though, the issue may not even be related with video playback. I have read in the forums (like here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1432706) that other people are facing this issue as well, and worked around it by not using Firefox as the default browser. I have not tried it but, even if it works, this is not at all convenient. There is an email account profile on my Thunderbird email program and I simply cannot get rid of it. I have tried everything including running the program as an administrator and nothing works. None of the instructions to remove an email account anywhere on this forum works. When I go into the account settings, there absolutely no selection for me to remove a particular email account/profile from Thunderbird. I have removed Thunderbird, wiped out all traces and profiles for Thunderbird, reinstalled Thunderbird and this particular account keeps coming back. I bought a new computer, installed Thunderbird on that, and this particular email account suddenly appears on the new installation on a new computer. I can't get rid of it. I brought both computers to a technician and they scanned for viruses, trojans, etc., etc., etc., and there is nothing there, but this email address account keeps coming back on any computer I have installed Thunderbird, including new computers that are new out of the box. The email account I want to remove is clogged with spam and tying up my internet connection and the ISP (Charter Communications) will not help me by eliminating this particular email account. I have followed multiple instructions I have found on this forum about how to remove an unwanted email account from Thunderbird and not a single one works because the selection to do this does not exist in Thunderbird. All I get is asked for a password for the email address that the ISP says doesn't exist, but it is being flooded with hundreds of thousands of emails that get sent to this email address in my Thunderbird program. Every time I run Thunderbird, it locks into this particular account and downloads emails until my hard drive is full and crashes. Is there a way to get rid of this email account on Thunderbird or do I just remove the whole program from my computer and use something else?

I have Thunderbird, version, 115.6 on my iMac. Up until this morning I have had no problems.

First when I used "Get Messages" this morning it kept telling me there was an error with my server. But after the error was fixed by contacting the server, Thunderbird was no longer able to connect to the server any more. I can send messages ok and they go through but I can't receive them since "Get Messages" no longer works.

My Apple Mail program on my laptop works fine, so the server is back to working properly and I can pick my Thunderbird sent messages there.

How can I get Thunderbird to connect to my server again for incoming messages?
