I have two identical computers running Firefox on Windows 7. No serious issues for 3 years or longer.

Just recently, version 100 showed "Unknown Source" instead of the normal UAC authorization window which lists mozilla.org as the source.

The 100.0.1 update showed the same warning.

This only occurred on one of the computers. The other one does not show the warning.

Firefox worked fine after doing the downloads anyway, but the "Unknown Source" is not right and makes the user think security is being compromised.

I am fed up with this problem enough that I had to come here to complain and hopefully find out what the issue is. Every time I start Firefox, it will spend five minutes or longer before it starts to load a web page! All I will see is blank white tabs with the hourglass icon until at some point many minutes later it decides to begin loading the pages.

I've tried different connection settings (No Proxy, System Settings, Auto-Detect, etc.) and that doesn't do jack. Neither does flushing my DNS, or trying to go to a site I've never visited.

Just now, as I was sitting here waiting for the effing browser to detect the connection, I even tried unplugging my Ethernet cable and it didn't realize there was no connection available for several minutes! This is extremely annoying.

I'm using Firefox 100.0.1 on Windows 7, but I've been dealing with issue for several releases, I want to say since at least pre-FF95. I have VPNs installed and their service processes run in the background but I don't use them. Also they don't affect the connectivity of anything else.

Firefox stopped working. If you open task manager, it shows there but you can't end the process. If you try to open it again, it just shows it's open again. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps and nothing works. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but the problem is still there. I have found that I can open it if I run my laptop in safe mode with network, but it won't run in normal mode. I have a new laptop and want to move all my Firefox data there. But if it won't open, I can't move it.

Sometimes when I open up firefox and try to navigate to a page, the browser refuses to load the page I want, instead it hangs on loading something else- contile-images.services.mozilla.org. It will sometimes do this for as long as several minutes before proceeding to the webpage I actually want to view. How do I fix this?

I tried printing in FIREFOX while using PDF and receipts from Amazon and HP. each time the fonts are HUGE, but not if I use Chrome or Edge. Tried your suggestions and that didn't help. I see another user has had the same exact issue with no avail. I'd really like to get this issued fixed. I like FIREFOX and want to use it whenever possible, but being unable to print makes it a problem. I would appreciate a real solution. Thank you in advance, Alan.

I refreshed Firefox and all my passwords disapeared even though it stated they would be saved. I followed online instructions and copied and pasted the old data into the new profile. Although I can see the old login data is there nothing shows up in the saved passwords section in settings. HELP! all my passwords are badly required as I have no other record.

Dear Sir/Madam I have recently started purchased an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. In order to purchase apps and games for my headset I want to use my PC so I can peruse the software available in the Oculus Quest store However when using the Firefox browser I find that when I link to the Oculus store I end up with a constantly rotating wheel and cannot access the apps/gamessection of the store (Now known as METAQUEST) However when I use the MICROSOFT EDGE browser the Oculus website works perfectly This disappointing as I much prefer to use FIREFOX Could you advise if there is a setting within Firefox which may help or could you comment on why Microsoft Edge works but Firefox does'nt Thank you Regards and best wishes Edward

When I try to reach Omahasteaks.com as I have been doing for a few years, I am now getting this message no matter what like I click on when I do my internet search for their related links. This just started about a week or two ago.

I'm a long time Firefox user and for years I used the Notes section in Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks until it was removed in Rel 6.2. Next I used the ESR path to save all my Notes in Firefox Bookmarks. I used the notes to store the "what was your favorite dog?" security question, and notes on how to find hidden document at that web site.

This forum then suggestion I install an Extension "Bookmark Notes" It took a lot of time to manually copy my answers over to "Bookmark Notes", web site by web site, to all of my PCs.

Now I find that all of my information is missing from this extension and "Bookmark Notes" has gone unsupported since 2021.

• How can I repair "Bookmark Notes" Extension?
• Where are the notes stored for this extension?
• Can I reload all the copied information from a back up of my windows drive?
• Is there a replacement for the "Bookmark Notes" extension?

I am disappointed with the background change with updates. The last time I updated Firefox, I had to do a system recovery to revert back. Then another person expressed concerns with a new version taking control over updating. Why don't you have updates that give you options to choose the background color and who decides if and when you update? I will not update Firefox under these conditions. And I don't want to spend half a day trying to change my background back to white, and especially if would have to do that with every update. Like I have to change my printing options when I do updates! I have been so happy with Firefox for the last 20 yrs. or so, until all of this. Please make this more user friendly and optional.

Firefox 97 installed itself , and now I have two print dialogs each time I go to print something. I have the system print dialog , and the Firefox print dialog. Does anyone one know a way to turn of the Firefox dialog in 97?

I fixed it in earlier versions by setting

print.tab_modal.enabled = false

...but in Firefox 97 it seems this no longer does the job.

Grateful for any advice.

I have always had the Print UI disabled by setting print.tab_modal.enabled to FALSE. Since the Version 97 update today, this is not working. The FALSE setting is still there under about:config but the Print UI dialogue now keeps coming up.

Hello there , I am trying to modify the menu-bar dropdown items when I hover over the list that opens with my mouse ( the dropdown list of any of Help , Tools , Bookmarks , History etc...). It is barely noticeable. I can hardly see the item chosen. I could use some help using the css. I am using FF93 and my platform is win7. Thanks look4
