I cannot find an old Firefox folder. I have looked in profile and found 2 logins.json files, dated 21.03 & 09.03, the earlier says corrupt, have copied both together with the sqlite file. How do I open these files to check them ? Tried Firefox in Safe Mode, still no logins. Help would be appreciated, thank you

First thanks for all the help with ff when I had a dying system. Now setting up ff 59.0.2 on a windows 10 box and need a basic bit of information.
In the previous version I had I could type for instance, 'imdb' and hit ENTER then I'd be taken right to the imdb page. Now a search engine page opens up. Only way I can go directly to a site is if I type the entire address as in, http://www.imdb.com/ Either one of these ways of navigating are an inconvenience.
What do I have to do to get ff to a state where I can type the site name, say tigerdirect, hit ENTER and go right to http://www.tigerdirect.com/ ?

I am seeing this issue in a lot of other threads and am having it myself. Unfortunately the only solution suggested is resetting the sync password and then repairing each computer individually. As a system admin with my bookmarks synced to roughly 150 computers, I think I'll pass on that solution and switch back to chrome. I prefer firefox in nearly every other way, so if a manageable solution becomes available I'd love to hear about it. Thanks.

Every once in a while, I go back and try something that worked in older versions of FF -- accepting some cookies and not accepting others.
In the current version, 59.0.3, I go to options, security and scroll down, I've added yahoo to my Exceptions to "allow" rather than "allow for session" and then set the general setting "keep until they expire". Now, this setup seems to be a way to whitelist only those sites I want to allow cookies, expiring others when I close FF -- as that's the most control I now have, the "ask every time" being gone. However, when I close FF and re-open, it hasn't kept the yahoo cookies as the exception implies it should.
How can I customize which cookies stay past the session and which don't?

I just got a brand new computer, downloaded firefox. I've tried to login to my twitter account, and an online class, and I get the same response every time. The site doesn't recognize my login, and when I try to reset my password it just hangs and won't go anywhere. I understand that some folks have posted about similar problems, but as this is a new computer, I don't believe the Refresh will work. Help?

Firefox Prizes itself in Healthy Network and Internet Privacy, however they did not include these 2 features which made me turn down the browser :
1 - Where's the option to delete EVERYTHING in your browser after you close the window ? (history, session, Download history, cookies, passwords, auto-fill and etc)---(Shouldn't a browser that boasts about privacy include this feature) 2 - I do not like using cookies so I have disabled them altogether, whenever I use a site that requires cookies I allow access only for that site, which is easily accessed from the address bar on chrome but not on Firefox, I don't want to open up a whole page and change the settings every time just to use a website. (The cookie feature should be accessible from the address bar when relative)
3 - I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard some rumors that FF will introduce a new way to show ads that take information from the user randomly. I understand that ads are the glue that hold the internet and economy together, without ads people can't make money. However I don't like that a "privacy browser" is using these kinds methods. Also, I've heard some rumors around FF quantum that it was made by google or is related to google in some way. Is this also true? why is Mozilla relating with google ?
I was personally very excited to see FF release a new browser that is so perfect, right way I started to use it until I came across these problems which made me quit the browser and go back to my previous one. You added all these features but forgot some basic ones which are important. This browser has the potential to rival even chrome, that's how amazing it is with all it's features but you are missing a solid few features.
Please add a delete everything option, and Cookie settings that are more accessible from the address bar. Otherwise I'm going back to my previous browser.

I installed Firefox for the new synchronization feature, both on my phone and on PC. On my phone the browser functions decently well, albeit extremely slow to search what I type in the bar at the top, usually requiring me to reintroduce it.
Anyway, the problem on my PC is sync always seems to be logged out, requiring me to retype my password (despite telling the browser to save whenever I do) and verify my email. I have done this about 10 times now, and as you can imagine its not pleasant.
Besides this, I have had the browser crash on me about 3 times, only to restart 5 seconds later with no message or indication as to what happened wrong, with the browser's settings reverted to the default (Yahoo search engine, etc.)
That about sums it up. I appreciate any help you can give me, and thanks in advance.

I don't want Firefox Sync to keep adding back things like "Most Visited" in my bookmarks when signing into Firefox Sync on whatever those new devices may be, the first of which will probably be a Dell Inspiron with an 11-inch screen and at least 12 hours of battery life, which'll be a backup to my Inspiron 7558.

The instructions on your website do not help me. I go to my account in the browser, sync, but the bookmarks are empty!!!! I want my passwords, bookmarks and settings! Bad browser! AND I can't log in to my account for help support!!! The password does not match. You preset a link to change password, I menu it with both big and small letters, but it does not fit!!! 100 attempts!!!!!!!

I recently got an email certificate online, and I am trying to export it from Firefox into Windows. I went to the certificate store in Firefox, exported it to my desktop in a PKCS12 file, and tried to open it in Windows, but Windows thinks the password I used is wrong. It doesn't matter what password I use, whether it's copied out of KeePass or a simple dictionary. Am I missing something?

When I press the play button in Firefox Quantum 59.0.2 (64-bit) playback is not instigated. Nothing happens. This has been occurring since I updated to Quantum. I cannot see that there are any add-ons / plugins I require to make the iFrame play.
Image 1 below shows the black iFrame screen that accompanies the malfunction in Firefox.
Image 2 below shows the IFrame screen as it appears in Google Chrome (in which the video playback is functioning normally).
Please help?

Since your last update when I try to load my temporary website to work on it in GoDaddy it goes to the page but the site won't load. Just sits there with the little circle in the middle going round and round. Everything works fine on Chrome and Explorer.
Just tried it again and now it won't even let me go to the editing page or show link to editing page. When I click on "Manage" for my site all it does is show me a page with the expiration date.
I hope you can get this fixed. I hate Chrome! Every time you try to go somewhere it takes you to an ad site or a popup blocks your menu bar.
