There are some pop-ups I cannot stop.

Naturally, I have clicked “stop pop-ups” in the Privacy and Security section of Firefox Settings. That has worked but not quite. I keep getting some “via l-itineraire.com”. That’s a website I used during a recent holiday in France.

So I installed Block Site.

That has an option called “Block a new host name”. I entered “l-itineraire.com.” and clicked Add. This has had no effect. The pop-ups still arrive from them.

I know there’s an option to open the website and get into the Firefox toolbar, but that’s defeated me. Yes I managed to get to click Menu, but not beyond. Anyway, that should not be necessary – after all I’ve clicked no pop-ups.

I continued reading on FireFox, and found that there is a "Refresh" procedure that might work, AND IT WORKED!

I'm so glad. Thank you. Of course it brings up other issues that may need attention, unrelated.

I think this has been addressed numerous times?

Prompt 'Remember decision for this site's along with a check box & allow.

My question is how to fix this as prompted even after agreeing to both.

Is there a url modifier to make it load at the %200 i usually look at it at?

when on firefox using OUSU mychart / Portland OR. I can't access my medication info, but when using another browser like wave the medication file come through fine? What can I do to fix my firefox browser?

I'm inspecting an element and when I use the 3 dot menu and search, it shows me results in sources tab. I try to edit the result, but it won't let me edit the sources tab. It only lets me edit in the elements tab. How do I search the elements tab? It keeps sending me to sources. It would be great if sources was made read/write as well. Many thanks.

On my Macbook air (m1 2020 14.3.1 (23D60)) /etc/hosts is ignored by Firefox 123

i've tried multiple offered (old) solutions from stack but non work.

FAILED ATTEMPTS:

• DNS over https -> off
• network.trr.excluded-domains ... tried to add the domains in the dns over https exeptions ... didn't work either
• added the domains to network.trr.excluded-domains
• cleared cache
• restart ff
• migrating all my /etc/hosts config from multiple domains on a single line to separate lines did. Hope this helps someone.
• network.ttr.mode = 5
• sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder in the terminal

Background: I run my own server and I cannot access them over the internet if I am on the same network (rounter dissallows this) This is annoying as I cannot develop via my laptop.

/etc/hosts is changed and in the terminal all (ssh etc...) works fine.

What is the proper way of doing this these days?

In Chrome, I can hit CTRL+SHIFT+I to open developer tools, add the Media tab, and go to the Media tab, and I can see the codec and what decoder is being used.

How do I do the same thing in Firefox?

So I have an option in the about:config preferences that I have to toggle every so often. (if you're really interested, I have items that I need to print a few hundred times in the same manner, so I disable print.always_print_silent so I don't have to deal with the pop up and can print directly by pressing ctrl+p. small time gain, but every little bit helps.

However, I need to change every so often if I want to print something else and it can be quite tedious to navigate through all the menu's. First world problem really. But I was wondering, is there a way to hotkey toggling preferences? or adding a toggle? it's probably relatively easy to create a extension with a button and a simple script, but was wondering if anyone knew of a direct way. thanks!

I have Yahoo.com on my desktop which takes me to my email account. I would like to get it on my task bar but when I try and move it down it is adding it to Firefox on the task bar. I can't seem to get it down there to stay

I am visually impaired and I need the Fonts to be Bold. I have changed the font and size but I can hardly read them they are so light. Especially on the Book mark page.

I have two lists of recovery keys and I'm wondering if there is a way to test them to see which one is correct.

I have no idea if it makes a difference but to my best knowledge I have a Firefox Original and Firefox Beta account.

It may just be Firefox information in general is all the same.

Either way I wanted to see which list of recovery keys was valid.

I configured my Windows 10 Firefox proxy to use system proxy settings, and I have a script can based on different network environment modify the system proxy autoconfiguration script address (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\AutoConfigURL) in registry to update the proxy settings. Internet Explorer works well - new proxy configuration usually become effective in 1 or 2 minutes after the change. However, each time after my script changes the registry proxy address (without FF restart), I have to go to Firefox Tools->Settings->Proxy to manually change it to another value (in my case it's from "Use system proxy settings" to any other value), confirm it, and then change it back. Then FF is able to reload the autoconfiguration script to make it work. This is really a headache.

I just wonder is there a way to notify FF to reload the proxy autoconfiguration script address from registry from command line so that my script can trigger it automatically after the registry is modified?
