macOS. Firefox is running. I enter: open -a Firefox --args -private-window "https://apple.com" (in Terminal or Automator) which I believe should open apple.com in a new private window, but although the focus change to the already open Firefox window, a new private window does not open. It does work (apple.com opens in a new private window) if Firefox is not already running, but I thought the -private-window argument is supposed to open a new private window whether Firefox is already running or not. What have I got wrong?

I've been using Outlook 2010 for a long time. One feature it has that has been extremely useful is being able to open and close individual pst files. This allows me, for example, to have an archive on NAS of old emails. I only open the archive if I'm looking for something specific (File --> Open --> Open Outlook Data File), and then close the archive. The archive is large, and opening it every time Outlook starts is a waste of time.

I don't initially see how, in Thunderbird 91.8.1, to do something similar.

Any help would be appreciated.

As you can see in the title, Firefox crashes immediately opening, though sometimes it works for a few seconds. I have figured out that it works when I create a windows profile without any association to my Microsoft account, it does actually work, but as soon as I add the Microsoft account to the profile, it crashes. This also happens with Opera GX, but not Chrome.

I can no longer choose where downloads go. I have tried "always ask" but I am getting no where. One post said open the three bars on the right an look for option. NO luck.

Thunderbird Ver 91.8.1. on Win 10. How to delete an email account please? The "Account Actions" box does not seem to exist in this version; I wondered how to delete an email account? I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks a lot HR

I am using TB under Ubuntu 22.04 ONLY because Gnome Evolution is requiring OAuth2 for IMAPX accounts that don't provide such authorization. TB and Outlook 365 (under Win 10) don't have that problem.

TB has a major, major problem in that it will not keep constant font, font-size, and line-spacing when I write or reply to emails. Why can't TB hold an exact font size (e.g., Arial 11). and line spacing (single) when I compose or reply to emails. I have seven (7) email accounts and I should not have to worry about having to set properties for each.

This is a THUNDERBIRD Problem. When the same message is sent from the same from/to accounts using Outlook 365, Version 2203 (Build 15028.20228 Click-to-Run) the problem does not occur.

Double checked - Name, email address and password by coping them and then pasting them in the boxes. I have one email working from the same supplier. incoming Host outlook.office365.com POP3 Port 995 outgoing Host smtp.office365.com Port 587 IMAP Port 993

Which Mozilla version is the latest which includes ((update options )) I still use windows 7 32 bit My system is not compatible for 10 The new version makes trouble with window 7, so I uninstalled It goes crashing when opens I read many topics using old version does not solve the problem For me it solves When I install new version ( 90 or newer ) it shows black screen when opens But with old versions, it does not show --- Now I tried 75 it contains option but the update still runs though I have chosen Check for updates but let you choose to install them

Thunderbird usually performs very well for me. Although sometimes a new email is received showing a weird timestamp that is obviously incorrect. As an example, right now the time of day at my location is 1:18 EST. So far, my received emails today have times ranging from 5:03 am to 1:16 pm. Except for one. It shows today's date but 5:31 pm. A time in the future. If I look at that same email on my iPhone, it displays a more acceptable time of 9:19 am.

This started occurring about 2 months ago and happens about once a week. All from spam. So this is no big deal but I'm curious why. Does anyone have an explanation? Thanks, Reeka

Hi, Please bear with me, I understand very little! In 2012 the business I work for was taken over by a new boss. The previous one set me up with a new email address which he set to be used with my gmail account.

My new boss wants to move clients but my email account is not included in the addresses she wants to move. Her email addresses are showing up on Eclipse. My email address/account isn't there. The previous boss was using Thunderbird. Is my email account there? Or does it need added to Eclipse?

I have no idea how to access or log in to Thunderbird to see if my address is there?

How do I find out who is hosting my email account?

I have no idea if I have explained this properly. I access my work email through my personal gmail (POP, IMAP???) but have no idea where it really "lives"!

I currently installed firefox but when I try to open it it shows a missing of the profile which I searched and the article said to make another profile by using window + r and I did but when I click on start firefox it shows an unexpected error prevented you to save changes and I searched abt this but this has no answer that is in my favour so can you help it would be great

A subscription service I purchased (Kine Mania TV) has on several occasions gone to a porn site. I have enjoyed many hours of wholesome TV series and movies at Kine Mania TV - but HATE it when smut shows up instead! Please advise - this is scary stuff for an old lady. something new-- I can't sign in to my att account like I always have. I can still log in on older win 7 and android devices. Only this win10 desktop is now having problems today. Any suggestions?

I use Kaspersky for my internet security. I choose the 'Safe Money' option for many other sites...but cannot connect sign on with my bank. Because the page always comes up asking for me to choose a browser. I down load and update the firefox site. This does nothing except giving me multiple firefox updates! What is happening and how can I stop having this issue pop up? The other sites on 'Safe Money' are not banking sites, but still need security. Do I have to change browsers? with firefox, drag and drop for attachments is not working using macOS High sierra, and outlook emails. It works ok in Chrome but I dont want to change over. I deleted cache and cookies and restarted. It worked ok for a while but stopped working agaiin.
