in my 'podcasts' folder I have ~2 pages of folders of the type feeds.json-xxx.corrupt where xxx is some number, see attached image.

With the intention to re-subscribe to my feeds later, I have deleted all other folders in my podcasts folder. Trying to simply delete the feeds.json-xxx.corrupt folders did not work. How can I get rid of them?

(I am using the portable version of thunderbird)

I'm on a Mac running Monterey 12.7.4. I've been using Firefox for years with no issues. All of a sudden Firefox can't load any websites. Message: "We can’t connect to the server at www.XXX.ca." But Safari loads all websites with no problems. I can't figure this out.

Since last update, Reminders pop up window will not close as before when the reminders are all cleared. Have too manually close the window. Saw this was an issue many versions ago that seemed to be cleared after an update. I could find no way to "fix" the issue. Is this a new bug?

I am using Firefox v125.0.2. When I open a PDF in Firefox it takes a lot of time to load. But, when the same PDF opened in the Edge browser it loads normally and scrolling through PDF pages renders fast. I have shared the screenshot of a single-page pdf loading taking quite a long time.

Could someone please help me with this.

When I goto to YT Homepage it will play all the sounds of the downloaded video's when I hover with the mouse.

But I want to hear the sound of that video AFTER I selected that Video or clicked on the title.

Hello, I did look for related posts but found nothing close enough to this so I thought I would create a post. I don't ever recall having this issue before v102 was introduced but now it happens once in a while but not always.

If I am in the inbox of my main mail account and choose to delete a message, it goes away and then reappears almost immediately. There is a box that shows up at the bottom right of the screen that says: The current operation on inbox did not succeed. The mail server for account (my main mail account is shown) responded: UID MOVE failed. This account is in Canada on the Bell Canada network so perhaps it is an ISP issue?

I have 3 mail accounts set up - all IMAP. If I close TB and reopen it, the message is gone as if it required the program to close in order to complete the delete request.

If anyone has experienced this and has any suggestions or tips, it will be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Mike

Version 125.2.0, Android 11 Settings: Firefox is default browser. 'Open links in apps' is set to 'Ask before opening'

Scenario:

• With the Swiss payment app 'Twint' I scan a QR-code for a payment
• This will open the embedded browser to show a payment site (sbs.twint.ch)
• After entering the amount and pressing submit, the flow is supposed to return to the Twint-app. However, here it just blocks and I cannot navigate anywhere or return to the app manually

Workaround:

• When the embedded view shows, in its menu, I can select 'Open in Firefox'
• Entering the amount there and pressing submit, the popup shows, asking me whether 'to open the link in app'. When I confirm, I am redirected back to the app and can confirm the payment there.

I suspect, the webview does not show the popup but wait for it to be confirmed and thus the flow is blocked. I have searched the forum but could not find anything matching. Still, is that a known issue?

I added the Save to Pocket (mini) extension to Firefox 125.0.2 today. When I look at the collection of articles I've saved to Pocket (I've been using Pocket for years) in the browser, I only see 8 articles. But when I open Pocket on my iPhone and iPad, the list of articles I've saved is much more longer (an estimate would be between 50 and 75 articles saved to Pocket). I haven't found any articles in Mozilla support to help me solve this. Thanks

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I'm on a Mac using Mojave, with Firefox version 115.8.

I don't want to be able to scroll the page by selecting text. That's what the scroll wheel is for. More often than not this 'feature' just results in frustration as scrolling the page selects more text. Can I just disable this altogether somehow?

My Thunderbird v. 115.10.1 (32-bit) Been using TB forever w/ GMail accounts Primary E-Mail is missing folders and has duplicate folders, one [Gmail] is inside the Inbox another is outside. Has [Sent] Doesn't appear to contain anything in either Junk and Trash folders. But, they do when I open GMail in my browser. My secondary E-Mail has no [Gmail] folder but does have Sent Mail, All Mail, Junk, Spam, Trash (empty), Trash and 3 that I created. This E-mail seems to function more completely. Is there a "repair install" a file to edit or something else to get me back to 100% operational? Can send folder properties if helpful. Image attached.

Normally when you starting to write a new email, Thunderbird will set the 'from' address to the address of the account whose mailbox you're current browsing.

However, I have a saved search that entirely contains email from my secondary (work) account, but if I start a new email while browsing it, it picks my default (home) email address. This has caused me to accidentally send emails from the wrong address more than once!

Is there any way to change it so that it'll set the 'from' field of new emails to my work email when browsing that specific saved search?

Bug forever (years, versions, reinstallations).

Failure by filters whose action is to DELETE. As stated in subject. Uncomplicated.

Other filters work (they distribute msgs into specified folders).

Comcast/Xfinity is binning email sent from Thunderbird to yahoo, gmail or hotmail

This problem started on April 24.

I have compared the Mozilla info at the front of emails sent to my wife before and after April 24. The only differences other than Subject and content are:

Every time I open Firefox another blank window opens behind the main Firefox pages . I see it when I close Firefox so have to close that too. There is no URL in the window just a blank page.

Been using Thunderbird for 5 or 6 years now and am a big fan. However, in the last few versions, the tool seems to be more and more resistant to actually checking for mail when told to do so.

It frequently does not check at startup ("Check for new messages at startup" is checked for all accounts), and also does not check when "Get all new messages" is selected.

I have tested this with known mail waiting to be retrieved and Thunderbird does not do it when directed. It did eventually do it, and downloaded the mail, but I am not sure why the reluctance to check on demand by the user.

It is possible it may just not be REPORTING that it is checking, but failing to get mail I know was there kind of makes that less likely.

The earlier versions, from 5 years ago, worked very well in this regard... always checked on startup and when told to, always reported the activity in real time as the check proceeded. The newer versions are not good at this. Or it is user error, which is definitely possible, but I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong.

Currently using Thunderbird V115.10.1 64 bit, running on Linux Mint MATE. This is the newest version available as of Apr 29, 2024, and the problem seems to be worse in this one than in the previous version. Not positive on that, but I did have a dickens of a time getting mail downloaded that I knew was there.

Any input or ideas will be most appreciated, thank you in advance.
