I tried reinstalling firefox because I wasn't getting notifications from websites. I'm not getting notifications now either. I checked my computer settings and reinstalled the software on my Mac Book Pro 2012 version 10.15.8.

After I migrated everything to a different computer, 'Local folders' no longer appears in the side bar, so I cannot archive messages locally.

Can some kind person please help me to reinstate it?

Issue Summary: When disconnecting from a corporate Cisco AnyConnect VPN on macOS, Firefox completely loses its internet connection and throws network errors. Other browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge) continue working perfectly on the home network. Standard troubleshooting steps—like clearing Firefox's DNS cache, changing proxy settings to "No Proxy", turning off DNS over HTTPS (DoH), and flushing system DNS—do not resolve the issue.

Root Cause: Cisco AnyConnect locks low-level socket configurations and routing rules within the active Firefox user profile (prefs.js). Even after the VPN is disconnected, Firefox remains bound to the dead corporate pipeline, a behavior that standard settings menus cannot override.

Proven Solution: The only way to clear the corrupt VPN socket locks is to completely reset the internal profile architecture:Open Firefox, type about:support into the address bar, and press Enter.Look at the top right of the page and click the "Refresh Firefox..." button. Accept the prompt. Firefox will close, securely back up your bookmarks/passwords, generate a fresh profile, and restart.Internet access will instantly return to normal. (Note: You will just need to reinstall your extensions afterward).

When I opened up my Firefox this evening, I was greeted by a message stating that I now had access to Firefox VPN with version 150. When I opened up the link showing me how to activate it, I noticed I never got a popup on my browser stating to turn it on. Later when going through the instructions it recommended I try to add it from my toolbar but it was not there either. I am not sure if this was a bug or not but I am really excited for this feature and would love to test it out as soon as possible!🫶

I'm stuck signing into VPN. My email address is shown when I click on VPN in the menu bar but there's no on/off toggle. I click Get Started, it says "Signed in Successfully! Next: Turn on VPN" — but there's no place to do this. It says "Go to the open panel" – what is an open panel? There's an x in a dark circle next to the VPN in the menu bar. It feels like a continuous loop and I'm getting nowhere – that I can tell.

The time zone stamp when using my default browser Firefox is 3 hours off. If I use Safari, it's correct. The problem occurs when using Gmail or Yahoo. It is only when using Firefox browser that the time stamp on email in incorrect. It is a Firefox issue and happened during the most recent upgrade 5/12/26.

I have floccus extension installed to sync my bookmarks to my WebDAV server located in private network. The floccus bookmark sync is successful when the build-in VPN is turned off, but it reported NetworkError when the build-in VPN is turned on.

I work at a small daily newspaper chain, and our website CMS is both archaic and homebrew. I only work with it sporadically, and Firefox is the best option for maintaining it.

This morning, I got the regular "Are you sure you want to delete this?" dialog box (pretty sure it's a Javascript call) with the additional check box of "Do you want (URL) to not prompt you for this any longer?" (or words to that effect).

I thought, "Great, one less click" and made that selection.

But now when I want to delete an item off the articles list, it doesn't delete at all.

I'm pretty browser-savvy, but I don't know how to re-enable that option. Any ideas?

Using a Mac Monterey 12.7.6 and uptodate firefox.

Trying to use "tree style tabs". I'm trying to drag and drop a tab named "CHILD" to a tab named "PARENT". Instead of appearing in the tab PARENT the CHILD tab disappears and its content is added to the PARENT tab.

I would prefer the child tab to nest within the parent tab.

FYI I was having issues signing onto my citizens online checking account and also signing onto my email account with comcast. After a while I disabled the NOSCRIPT extension which solved both issues. I believe this problem may have coincided with release 150.2

Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! My K-9 in Android suddenly stopped to work a couple of days ago. The server asks for autentification. I haven't changed anything. I've uninstalled and reistalled the app and restarted my phone a Samsung S22 ultra several times. The app is recognating some settings automatically but it doesn't accept my old password with 16 letters in a group of four with highfens in between. What shall I do, please? Something wrong with the server? The version of the app is 17.0 updated March 16th 2026.

When I open Firefox for the first time after logging in to my macbook, after a few minutes, a second Firefox icon appears in the dock at the bottom of the screen. Why is this happening (only started a few days ago)? And how do I stop it?

Recently I had a problem with Firefox opening a second icon on my Macbook. In order to fix it, I uninstalled and then re-downloaded Firefox. I tried to put everything back to the way it was before but I still have a problem with some websites not playing video. Most notably, Instagram and Blue Sky. I have attached screen shots. I have set Firefox to playback videos automatically but this has had no affect. Can anyone help?
