Hey all, I’m using Firefox on iOS 17.1.2 for the last week or so when I’ve been half way down a page, click to go to another page then go back to the previous page, the page I’ve just been on goes back up to the top, not where I’ve left from.

Anyone know what I can do so that it remembers where I am on the previous page when I return to it?

I installed the newer version of Firefox on Feb. 4, 2024, and nothing from the older version carries over to the new version. How do I migrate bookmarks and history from an older version of Firefox to a newer version, please?

When I migrated my information to a new machine a bunch of settings were changed. One of which is the tab colors. I've adjusted colors for text etc. But I can't get the tab colors to be anything other than black with white writing which combined with the incredibly small writing it seems close to impossible to read without bifocals. How can I adjust?

I think b/c I have an old Firefox acct on my old, locked iPhone 11,that when this iPad synced, with info on iPhone 11 from back when I had computer (Lightning Rod) so this is causing major lockouts because passwords, sign In info, etc don’t match? The 11 never really got used b/c Verizon couldn’t keep signal to phone and automated system kept shutting me down while the higher ups kept trying but eventually I had to give up and return to Spectrum but Verizon Automation also reported me th credit bureau- which we sent a rebuttal to the huge charge but only learned after time to dispute had long passed that b/c we didn’t think to send return receipt- Who kne? Well not only didn’t I get my $600 advanced payment returned and I kept begging those techs to simply give up, send a return box b/c when I agreed to the contract, on recording, I specifically stated that if what he ( salesman agreed to, that is, that I wouldn’t need to pay separately for Spectrums signal then yes, I agree to the contract… Spectrum, unfortunately, prior to CoVid, lied about upstate NY having 100% coverage and thus other companies suffered losses b/c they depended on wireless signal just as CoVid really took off(sorry for rant!) So, the 11 really didn’t get used b/c Verizon management understood the serious threat to me being terminal but the automated system couldn’t be overridden, and thus my question to you is…How can I separate, or stop the syncing with the outdated info that I suspect is confusing and driving me insane when the Firefox for iOS is getting separate info? But, suspecting I’m an intruder? Lastly, the old 11 has Now added newer (recent info) and I simply don’t know the info when being asked, nor do I know if both the one Android temporary (pay as you go phone…will cooperate with separate platforms as well as apps but it was never this confusing when I used Firefox before yet being much more deteriorated medically, I simply am desperately trying to protect my privacy until Apple can find a way to help get my watch back monitoring me while I temporarily have the Android so if something obvious happens - which btw, when the watch literally saved my life, nobody knew before that occurred that my body was no longer able to make a life sustaining trace mineral and the other requirements to absorb in order to live but b/c the watch was monitoring and SOS, at the hospital, my cardiologist was able to have tests that they instantly started IV’s saving me and Now although the watch isn’t working- I simply can only pray that b/c Apple is doing what they can, at least if I get some kind of pain or unable to breathe as was the case that day… but then I have lots of allergies so that’s what I and others thought was issue… but with the American ingenuity of what Apple has started, the ability to prevent deaths that could have been prevented, yet I’m hitting a huge brick wall with Spectrum arguing and putting my life at risk denying that Apple could have got my watch going but told me to call Spectrum because even with my phone dying from a fall, I’m paying out the ying Yang not only for cellular to not only go to my broken iPhone but am also paying for cellular to my watch which luckily I did get with its own cellular. But enough of the horror story…is there any advice you can provide while Apple has taken lead, to protect me from the Android but more importantly help me with the old info, of the 11 vS new of 14 which Apple has jumped further in to prevent the unthinkable from possibly occurring. I’d be lying if I tried to say I’m not frustrated with Spectrum, but I’m not interested in dying to enrich my heir…I still have things…a long long bucket list, but I’m just trying to keep myself and what is still working safe. You guys are wizards with this stuff… Please let me know if you can help separate out but possibly not make me more vulnerable. Thanks for what you do in trying to help people like me who don’t know much about what it entails nowadays to utilize the access, yet not be further victimized or experiencing more stored info.

I am trying to sign into a website using a username and password. I am using an iPad Pro. When I touch in the username field, I get a popup at the bottom of my screen reading " for xxxx.xxx.edu -- Firefox [username] I touch that and get a message from Firefox saying: "To use the AutoFill feature for Firefox, you must have a device passcode enabled. The issue is I DO have a device passcode enabled. I don't know why Firefox is giving me this message and at that point, all I can to is cancel and return to the website login screen. Any suggestions or help? Thanks much!

for some time now I have not been able to download anything from homepages. The download window pops up, but it is a 0 file. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, but unfortunately this has not worked. What can I do?

I find the process of adding bookmarks really difficult. I have a ton of them and I need to keep them organized, so I have to add them to the correct folder when I make them. So on mobile, I have to go to the menu, tap add, quickly tap the "edit" button before it goes away, navigate out of mobile bookmarks to desktop bookmarks, scroll past every single folder and subfolder I have (there are a lot) and finally get to save my bookmark. Then, when I find something else I want to remember in the same category, I have to do the same 6-step process because the browser doesn't automatically navigate to the last folder I saved to. If anyone knows of a way to make the process shorter I would be very grateful.

I wonder if the sudden issue with Microsoft NOT letting me log into my Outlook account because "too many attempts have been seen" has anything to do with signing up this morning for your VPN?? Everything was working prior. Thanks

Hello, Earlier today I had logged into a site for an appointment. I was on the appointment for over an hour. I click out of the site tab, and then about 10 minutes later, I realize I need to send a message.

I log back in and start a message that would include various links from other sites per the discussion just had. It is somewhat of a tedious process jumping back and forth from the message to then find the link to cut-n-paste into what you're typing.

So, I'm there about an hour. I'm almost kind of done, and on one of my hopping from one link to then put in the message, I accidentally - I guess- push the Firefox refresh that clicks out of my message and the Firefox page pops up as if I'm starting a new screen.

I then proceed to go back the website I was on, only to find the message was not saved in the "Drafts" folder though it saves as you type as its function. Annoyed, I figure I'll just go to site history to just get to what was hopefully saved since I was there an hour already.

That is when I noticed that the website i had just been on for over an hour WASN'T in my History search for the listings under the "Today"; I was on just moments before.

I was wondering if maybe my accidental 'refresh' push mistake somehow wiped out that 2nd session of the message writing time? So, i decide to scroll below all these links that I had gone to FOR the message IN this particular site, and try to see maybe I missed this website because I had a lot of links i was double checking.

And that's when I find that NONE of the 2 times I was on this particular is listed AT ALL. Not even the one from my appointment, with the first login. I somehow only see the troubleshooting new attempts of me getting into the site after the fact, and all the other links.

How is it possible that just ONE site is wiped from the History search? Literally every other link I had been to that day before, in between, and after those 2 loggins are in the History, but not the one site I need? I need to know what I did wrong--and if a person can wipe out just a selected item from their Firefox History, that's convenient for criminals.

So, I'm reaching out because I don't see this situation happening in other community Q & A. And although what I was working on for an hour is just gone, and it is what it is, I feel like it is super bazaar how one site alone is missing from your History Search, when that is the whole point of the history search function, and want to avoid this happening to me again, and is this a glitch that is forensically needing to be addressed on a larger front.

Recently on my older iPad (5th generation) whenever I do an image search and click on a highlighted image (any highlighted image) or the corresponding thumbnail link, doing so always and only results in a blank page. If however, I choose the option to open the image in a new tab, then and only then does the search go to the desired site. All the other search options seem to work fine.

I have cleared my caches and deleted my histories to no avail. Removing and reinstalling Firefox did not help. Rebooting didn’t do it either. Have I caught a malware that my antivirus protection has failed to detect? Is it a bug in the app?

I’m stumped.

I recently strengthened all my passwords. I used FF on my Mac to accomplish the task and synced the new passwords to Firefox for iOs on my iPhone. I hit the button for autofill passwords, but autofill doesn't work. Often I get a message saying I must have a "passcode-enabled" device. I have that, if they mean the passcode for starting the iPhone after it's been turned off. Wassa matta? Thank you.

Seems like the Mac iOS pop-up Translation function (when you highlight a text on a webpage and a pop-up menu comes up with "Copy," "Translate," "Look Up," etc.) isn't working on Firefox 123.4. I've checked my Settings and it doesn't seem like there's anything that should be interfering, and it worked fine until about three days ago, when suddenly every attempt to Translate gets a "translation is not available right now, try again later" error.

Any ideas? What sucks is I'm not sure if this is a Firefox problem or a Mac iOS problem. Thanks for any insights.

In the latest version of Firefox for iPad (IOS) the tabs are now at the bottom of the screen requiring 2 clicks to get to instead of 1. How do I get my tabs back at the top of the browser? The toolbar location setting is missing from settings.
