Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

Title. Thunderbird is a really cool client but it's pretty slow. I blame that on the thousands upon thousands of emails that my hotmail and gmail each hold. I don't necessarily want to delete these emails, but I have seldom a reason to have any email older than 2 months in my thunderbird client slowing and crashing the program whenever I want to combine inboxes.

To this end I went to "Synchronization & Storage" and told it to "Synchronize the most recent 2 months" but it didn't delete the huge cluster of older emails. The next option is to tell TB to delete these emails in the same menu but as I understand it that would also delete them in the server, which I don't want to do for posteriority.

What do I do?

This is the message I get when trying to send emails: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: pgbentley101@gmail.com recipient rejected. Please check the message recipient "pgbentley101@gmail.com" and try again."

Ever since the last update, my keyboard isn't appearing in Firefox Focus when I tap the url bar. Normally it would appear to type in a new url, but not anymore. When I tap the bar, it automatically selects the complete url but then I have to tap again in order to show the keyboard. See the attached screenshot; I have tapped the url bar here but no keyboard has appeared.

I am using the regular keyboard on Android, Gboard. I'm on Android 13. Using a Fairphone 4.

Everything is updated to the latest available.

I have used Thunderbird for years and I use it for work. For the last two days, it has started to go slow, and it will freeze and I have to close out of it. This JUST started, and this morning it is almost not functional.

I have looked everywhere I could find to see what I can do and I cannot find anything. I even tried re-installing it.

What can I do?

I'm using Thunderbird with my hotmail account and have never had a problem before yesterday. Now I get this error message. "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write priviledges." Can anyone advise on this? Temporary email is accounts@gardendesignernorthdevon.co.uk

New installation of Thunderbird on WIndows11 - cannot send mail - get the follwoing error message: "outgoing server smptgo.lanlime.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing connections. Please verify that your outgoing server SMTP setttings are correct." WHERE DO I LOOK TO FIND THESE SETTINGS///

The page layout and functionality has changed. I keep getting a message about imap! I have not made any changes to anything. It's just not working, i am very lost with it. Help please. John K-D

Since updating to 115.4.1 under Windows 11 (fully updated), Thunderbird regularly (about every 24-48 hours) freezes up and needs to be shut down with Task Manager. What's up??

Hello, Since the update to Thunderbird Supernova from version 102 upwards, emails in several email folders are automatically deleted or hidden. The properties in the respective folders are listed under Retention rules: Do not delete messages.

The emails displayed in the folders no longer correspond to the contents in the folders. Example: A folder displays: 7, properties in the same folder displays: 1226 with 447 MB. It looks similar in the other folders.

How can I ensure that all available emails are displayed in Thunderbird again?

A repair with *.msf does not help.

Recently I have had multiple occurrences of Firefox "freezing" and I have to shutdown the browser which then reports the fault to Microsoft. It seems to happen when I click on the button to Maximise the browser window. I'm running Windows 11. It generally does restore the browser tabs successfully but is nevertheless irritating and a recent phenomenom.

Hello, I'm using Thunderbird (and before Netscape Messenger) already 30 years. With this new version 115.4.1 (32-Bit) I'm now experiencing the symptom, that, when I reopen one of the mailboxes the focus is not in this mailbox on the last read mail as it was always in earlier versions, it now focusses somewhere so that you always have to scroll to the point where you have been last time.

I may have had this answered, but my email issues prevented me from seeing any answer.

I use Thunderbird with my gmail account. When I run Thunderbird on my computer, I don't load any emails (I do get emails on my iPhone). I get this error message: "Authentication failure while connecting to server imap.gmail.com." What does this mean and what should I do?

I have problem in Mozilla Firefox 118 and 119 about company web app. There are several input[text] and textarea that can't type in them. But in other browsers are fine and Mozilla Firefox ver. 117 is fine too.

Btw, this app using AngularJS.

Cannot send or reply to emails. Can receive them fine. Alert message says "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded >jlheiman@charter.net< sender rejected. Check account address settings and try again." Account settings are correct. What do I do?

While on michaels.com I click on a product, it goes to the product then immediately the screen goes blank. It also happens when I do a search, multiple products show up, then the screen goes blank. I don't have that issues on other websites. What is going on and how do I solve this issue?
