There is "show in folder" menu for file in downloads. And it will launch my file manager at the parent folder for the selected download file.

There are so many files in my downloads folder, so i would like the specific file to be autoselected. My file manager support this if i pass the filename as parameter in the commandline.

However, seems that firefox only pass the parent folder path to my file manager in the "show in folder". However can i customize firefox so that it will pass the full file name to my file manager when i click "show in folder", and my file manager will open the parent folder with the specific file autoselected.

I use Firefox on Raspberry pi os. I have a lot of help files saved in mht format. How can I open these files in Firefox? Chrome supports such files without additional configuration, but I would not like to use this browser on Raspbian, since it consumes much more resources than Firefox. It is undesirable to use a different format.

When I type my last name using shift + first letter, it always comes out in lower case, which wastes my time correcting. How do I set it back to using upper case with shift +?

The fcitx input method works everywhere on my computer except Firefox. I've added the following to my etc/environment file, which is the main suggestion I found online: GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx But it still doesn't work. My operating system is KDE neon 5.27.

For the past week or two, all links sent to me via email open to blank pages. In other words, I click a link in an email and am taken to a completely white, blank page in a new tab of my Firefox browser. I've tried clearing my cache but that didn't resolve the issue. I figure it's time to ask for some help with this strange, frustrating issue so that I can open links emailed to me. I've attached a screenshot of one of the emails this happens with. It's been happening with a company called Geru as well as the one in the screenshot, but I've found that links from the Epoch Times for instance work fine. Please advise, thanks!

Hello, Ive recently switched my primary browser from opera GX, to Mozilla Firefox. Since then I've adjusted the settings to my liking, one of which was the search engine. I chose google chrome, and it works when I open a new tab, However, When I open a new window of firefox, it always opens Bing. This is a small problem, yes, but its simple issues like this that dissuade me from wanting to use firefox at all, I would like to solve this issue, but Ive searched for answers, and there aren't any. If you help me fix this, I will keep firefox. Otherwise, I'll chose a browser that gives me the amount of control that I want. I've also attached a photo of the startup screen of firefox.

Since installing Avast Plus I can't sign on to some accounts to pay my bills, such as Rocket Mortgage and Synchrony. I have to go to Microsoft Edge in order to pay these bills.

After updating to 121 I'm always asked if I want to open the URL in a container.

How can I get rid of the question and just always assume "Yes"?

I recently downloaded Tree Style Tab. I still see the horizontal tab bar. I would like to hide it. However, I have tried just about every answer I could find on Mozilla, Google, Reddit, and any other websites that offered solutions. Nothing has worked since the last update. This includes the "type in about:config, toggle to true, open profile folder, create userChrome.css file, copy and paste xyz code, save, and restart Firefox" route.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How do I import the firefox passwords I saved as csv file from firefox into firefox. I am not importing from a different browser which is the only option offered. I'm importing from the newly created csv file as instructed by firefox.

Often times when I open a new tab, I get a dot that goes back and forth and will not open the tab. This seems to happen if I don't use Firefox for a few minutes. It's like its trying to open but can't.
