I have clicked the 'always ask where to save download' box, but the save files to downloads is still active. How do I get it to ask me where to download to every time?

How can I assign different densities to the folder pane and the message pane? I am happy with the classic view at the default density but this thins out the folder pane too much. I want this to be compact (as previously) to minimize the amount of scrolling required to file emails. However, the density setting seems to apply across the whole display.

See pix. I have my PC set to NOT auto update, yet it still does. Every time you guys post an update (which is super frequent) it locks up my PC for an hour or more! I have to restart it several times before it reconnects to the internet.

I can't change the name of one of my firefox profiles. I have an error where the name is too long and it cannot be changed. Is there any way to do this other than creating a new profile and deleting the old one?

I have an Acer Chromebook. I just downloaded the Firefox browser so I could use the Stardoll website. It's not really available through Chrome because you need the launcher to play now and it's doens't work with Chrome. I tried to download the launcher with Firefox but when I try to open the download, it just says 'no app found to open exe file.' I also tried to download the Flash add-on and it says the same thing. My laptop is on a Chrome OS. Will I be able to fix this problem?

Have always used Firefox, starting crashing this past month, cleaned buffer,, rebooted and now I cannot open or run Firefox. I had to open Google Chrome just to get here, and I hate Google. Running Windows 10 PRO on desktop. Senior citizen not a computer professional, consider me a kindergarten with a manual Corvette. Please help.

I was using 68.0. Mail merge (Andreas Bergmann) quit working.

I upgrade to 115.0. Mailmerge does not pick up pdf attachments correctly.

How can I revert back to 68.0 or slightly earlier, to restore full mail merge functionality. And all my old email. (Yes I have backups...)

It appears that thunderbird has created some format changes that make it difficult to revert, (and on a personal note, the new UI is horrible, who dreams up forever moving box/buttons around?)

Hello, I have many email accounts,Win10 64 bit. I made a backup copy of my default profile and then I upgraded to Supernova, the upgrade seemed succesful, but one of my POP accounts was never polled when downolading emails, Thunderbird skipped retrieving emails from that account. So I downgraded to 102.15.1 64 bit. But it says that the default profile could not be used because a newer version of TB could have modified it, so it forced me to create a new profile. But in the new profile I lost almost everything: sent emails, received emails, filters, archives. The only thing good is that TB 102 remembers the name of mail servers, so I did not have to configure them again. But I had to download again from the server some 6000 emails (I leave the emails on POP servers for some months, for security reasons), but I lost all sent emails and more. So my old, default profile is useless. What to do?

Hi, I stupidly 'upgraded' from V102 to V115, which I immediately disliked. I managed to re-install V102, but it then said the profile was for a newer version. I had a backup from a few weeks ago, and copied all the top-level files over. So I got all my setup bacvk and all seemsed fine, but have just seen that my address book is messed up.

I had lots of important 'contact lists' (about 10), they have all disappeared. I only see "Outlook Express..." (imported ages ago) and "Collected Addresses", the main section, and the sub-lists are all missing, and I have lost years of addresses for my business.

I have the abook.sqlite backed up on 13th Sept, but can't open or use it to check what's in there. I tried importing, but got as 'fail'

I bought your VPN. Does not install. Does it work with Microsoft Surface Pro X (ARM)? If not I need a refund. If it does, I need help installing it. Thank you for your time.

i am using a loaner laptop right now while i wait for my main laptop to be returned to me. i need my bookmarks so i downloaded the browser & went to log in. i can't find my password & apparently to reset it i lose all my bookmarks which is the ONE THING i need from firefox right now. i am fully logged into firefox on that other laptop (tho who knows now that i tried logging in on my new device). i can't risk losing all my bookmarks. i need some help here, but i couldn't even get help without creating a NEW firefox account. can someone send me a support email to reach out to?

I am trying to set up a new Thunderbird email account using pop3.gotadsl.co.uk port 110 and smtp-auth.gotadsl.co.uk port 25 which are the settings I have been using for years on my old Livemail account. Thunderbird recognises these settings but warns me that pop3 and smtp-auth do not use encryption and as such could expose my password and private information, Can you please advise me what settings I can use. Have transf OLD profile w/IMAP accts from \roaming\... onto new PC, BUT I put the old profile names in a new diff directory, say C\T-Bird-Emails\...

But do I need to chg ini file (this was never mentioned in all the Q&answers,..). Is it just a matter of chg ini file (which one or both?) and or are there more things to do? pls clarify, Tx
