I have a PC desktop and laptop. Bookmarks have always been synced in the past. I have just been away for 6 weeks and added and changed many bookmarks on the laptop. I confess I do have a lot built up over the years. When I came back home I expected to sync as in the past without problem to the desktop. However sync wouldn't happen although both were ON and on same wi-fi. So I restored into the desktop a json file I had made on the laptop just before coming home. I also have a json file made on the desktop just before leaving.

Disaster. While all the bookmarks may be there on the desktop (I don't know) all the folders are now empty and all bookmarks are simply in one huge unusable list in the bookmarks menu. Same result with the desktop json file. It would take days to put them all back into folders one by one. Having tried various things now my laptop is the same !

Why did this happen ? How do I get the bookmarks back into all the folders ?

I opened my bookmarks today to find out that all my bookmarks are showing the same web address (Chevrolet.com). And when I went to Recovery, I only found the backup that Firefox did today with the single web address for all my bookmarks. Firefox was updated to version 120 on 11/21/2023.

Is there a way to display a column in the bookmark manager (Ctrl+Shift+O) which would show in which folder each particular bookmark is?

Is there a way to search for bookmarks (in the bookmark manager or the bookmark sidebar (Ctrl+B)) by specifically excluding certain (bookmark) folders (e.g. MySessions, Save for Read Later, BSP2 trash folder, etc)?

If the above is not available, please kindly consider those ever since important features.

Basically what the title says. My bookmarks aren't saving in the right location. No matter which folder I select in the editor, it always saves them to the default menu location.

What has happened to all of my Task Bar / Tool Bar? As of today, Sunday Nov. 26th, everything is gone. In addition the browser itself looks "different" some how.

My computer laptop is bit outdated. I will get a new laptop soon. However, I do have some problems with my cellphone. Will be doing Factory Reset this weekend or later. But, I need to save my bookmark on my cellphone. Is there a better way than not be able to use export.

Why does my tool bar disappear after typing in website in search bar? Book marks appear when I open a new window, however as soon as I type something in the search bar or click on a website the book marks disappear. I have to open a new window for them to reappear again. I didn't change any settings, it happened on it's own. I've added a screen shot for when I open a new window (book marks appear) and a screen shot for when I've typed something in the search bar (book marks disappear). Thank you!

i would like to be able to remove ANY bookmark at ANY time from the main menu, not the bookmark bar but the icons in the middle of screen when you open the browser

I cant delete half of them, they flicker for a millisecond and dont disappear. how? i feel like clicking dismiss should forcefully remove the icon. it doesn't and this just makes me a little angry.

add the ability to click on the 3 dots and click a new button called DELETE. it should fix the issue by removing it.

I have a Mac Desktop. I installed upgrades as usual, however, all of my bookmarks (over 100) are gone. This never happened before with any Mac upgrade of software. How do I get my Firefox bookmarks back? Stan

Is it possible to perform partial bookmarks sync?

Let's say, bookmarks from machine A that are synced to the server completely would be then synced from the server to a bookmarks subfolder on machine B, is it possible? The rest of the bookmarks on machine B would need not to sync to the server in such case.

Alternatively, both machines sync to the server but the user would need to specify which bookmark sections (folders) need to be synced and which not, thus avoiding duplication and maintaining consistency.

In the past when I reinstalled Windows and then Firefox, I would sign into my account and all my bookmarks/addons etc. would automatically get reinstalled. Today I had to reinstall Windows and when I logged into my firefox account, nothing happened. Does Mozilla no longer keep these settings for us? I don't have any other devices to sync off of and never have, so where did all those settings come from when I did previous reinstalls?

Hi, all of my bookmarks, years' worth that I have never had an issue with before, have suddenly disappeared. Backups do not seem to be available. How do I get them back? I did not do anything out of the ordinary and I don't know if (an unasked for) update occurred and wiped them.

I recently uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it directly from the microsoft store as it was very slow (probably due to not being updated) and I am sad to see all my bookmarks and important information is gone. Is there any way I can restore it? Thank you in advance.
