I have a mail folder structure with many parent folders that goes 5-6 layers deep in places, so I don't usually leave it expanded. I use a number of Inbox rules to move new messages to their intended destinations. When new messages arrive the numeric counter or badge to indicate that there's a new message somewhere in the branch appears correctly at the parent level, but when I expand that branch to see where the message is the counter no longer appears for intermediate branches. I have to rattle through and completely expand *every* branch of the folder tree until I find the folder where the new message resides at which time the badge once again magically appears. This makes screening new mail very inefficient and negates much of the value of Inbox rules.
This is a new issue and only appeared with the latest update (115.3.1).

The dialogue box for creating filters is so large that the submit button is below the bottom of the screen on my laptop. When I finish designating a destination for a filter I am unable to save it. I have tried to size the dialogue box, to no avail. Is there a solution?

I am uncertain what you mean as
1) I do not know what a SuperNova is, nor if I even have one; 2) Screenshot may be our of date, but it can repair jumbled texts, and; 3) I do not remember the question you posted earlier. Could ou be so kind as to repeat it?

I am currently running TB 115.2.2 and when I select multiple messages I can no longer "Edit as New Message" or "Edit Draft Message" like I could in TB 102. The options appear when you only select one message but not when you select multiple messages. Is there a work around for this loss of functionality or a planned re-implementation of this functionality?
I routinely use Mail Merge to create multiple draft messages and then go back in and edit them before they are sent. It significantly increases the complexity and the length of my workflow if I have to do this one message at a time instead of 8 at a time.

Hi, I use thunderbird and have recently lost all my sent emails. According to my email provider they believe the emails have been deleted, but I haven’t done this and they are not showing in deleted / trash. I have a large ‘sent-1’ file which is around the same size of original sent folder but I’m unable to access it. I get the message about compacting which I cancel and the amount it could recover is the size of the ‘sent-1’ file. Is there any option to import the emails in this file into thunderbird or any tool that could help as the emails are valuable and the email provider couldn’t care less about helping me recovery even though they can’t see how the emails we here deleted.

When I switch over to Google Chrome (NOT my preference!) those same pages open with no problems! What's up with this?

Recently, about one out of four webpages that I try to visit seem to fail to load on FireFox. This is FF for Windows, and is the most updated version. This issue even occurred just now when typing in MOZILLA.COM. Everytime one of these pages fails I attempt it with Chrome or Brave, and it works just fine. It does not matter whether they're ventured to through Google links or other links, or whether I type the address in manually. It only happens sometimes, as other times the same page loads just fine.

Steps I followed to fix this error:- 1. Increased timeout value of the server mailnews.tcptimeout to 2000 2. Turned off Windows Firewall Antivirus 3. Checked the outgoing server configurations and its correct
My email server is Microsoft 365. I am running the latest Thunderbird and Mail merge extension.

Using Firefox 117.0.1 on Windows 10, whenever I try to download a file (eg right-clicking an image, 'Save image as...') or upload a file (eg a photo to Facebook or a PDF to Cloudconvert), Firefox completely freezes (greys out) and no matter how long I wait this doesn't resolve. In the end I have to click the red X icon at top right, completely shut down the programme, then re-open it. And it continues to be impossible to upload or download.

HI, On September 16, Thunderbird did an update. Now it opens very very slowly and doesn't show the inbox. NOW the screen is FILLED with a BIG message that says THUNDERBIRD -- Support US.
Before the update, it opened quickly to the INBOX.
The INBOX doesn't open. It shows only a few emails and they are all gray and white. There aren't any GRID LINES separating the emails.
Messages refuse to send . Sometimes they send and sometimes there's an error message. I have to copy the email into WEBMAIL and send it from WEBMAIL.
HOW can I get the OLD THUNDERBIRD BACK????
I was depending on Thunderbird to run my business.
Since Thunderbird doesn't work anymore, I'll have to find another EMAIL PROGRAM.
