Hi! I've been using Thunderbird since 2009 and each year was better than pervious with you. Thank you for this. However last year, when I bought a new laptop and installed Thunderbird (on the fresh and clean system) start to have problem with main new message window. I don't think I have any addons and special customized. The Window message looks awful, unprofessional and it looks like an unfinished skin and full of bugs. Can you help me? I really have no what's wrong with it. Happy holidays and all the best in 2023. Pleasent day to you all team.

Is customizing alert sounds for different contacts possible for Thunderbird 115.6.1? I see a couple of add-ons, but none seem to work with this version.

Thunderbird 102.6.1 Windows 10 on HP desktop PC. Only one message selected for deletion but TB deletes all contents of folder. Deleted emails normally go to DELETED bin but this folder has also been emptied. No changes made to TB or to Fastmail, this system has been faultless past five years. Tried Repair Folder, no luck.

I know NOTHING about technology; everything I've read to try to remedy my issue makes no sense to me; I'm not able to follow the suggestions because I can't find the links referred to. Can someone please help?

I run Thunderbird on Windows 10 Pro Dell Desktop. The new version of Thunderbird (102.3.3) freezes for 6-8 seconds every time Thunderbird checks for new messages from Hotmail server. It is very annoying when you scroll message list or writing a new email. I have been using Thunderbird for many years and never had this problem until this latest release. Please look into it.

I am getting the Thunderbird pop up that are needed to do things in a very small window that is not able to resize. And hence not able in some cases to close out the window.

Thus on this particular incident, I cannot close the message I want to close out. I don't need it so I would just discard it. This pop up would say something to the effect do you want to cancel this message?

But as you can see there are no button. I cannot close out the screen as I need to press a button but it is not available.

This is Version 102.3.3. I am also getting Bogus messages from time to time telling me I need to manually upgrade Thunderbird but when I download it is 102.3.3. What happened to auto update?

So to close out this window, I go to Sysinternals Process Explorer and find the remaining Mozilla program and kill the remaining Thunderbird. The main Thunderbird I am able to close. But this new message remains due to this pop up artifact.

i keep getting black bars on firefox which hides important features (like accepting or declining cookies) which makes it impossible and annoying to use firefox for me. Please does someone have a fix for this.

Yahoo mail is the only site on my browser that doesn't work. It opens and loads and you can open an email but you can't do anything with it. You can't look at attachments, delete, move, star, or anything. I've reloaded yahoo, created a new password and signed back in, closed Firefox and opened back up, restarted my laptop and opened back up, cleared cache - NOTHING WORKS. It works just fine on Chrome and my phone. I noticed that yahoo mail url is the only one that has a cross site cookie symbol. But when I take it out, it still doesn't work. I am beyond annoyed.

Ever since the upgrade, I can't send emails with an attachment over 1 mb. Says connection to the SMTP server timed out at around. This happens around 40% of loading, but sometime sooner. Please help...

retrieving messages does not work - after update to the newest version and restart. I read all the hints on the help pages. My provider is GMX. The browser based program works well. Normally I can see at the bottom of the page that Thunderbird tries to download messages, then I see them listed. Now: nothing, no move.

I have 3 different email addresses on wavecable.com. Suddenly they've stopped downloading to Thunderbird. No rhyme or reason. And I cannot discover anything wrong. I have not made any changes. I've double checked settings and nothing's changed. Help, please!

I have no issue with any other site that I visit daily, and my co-workers are able to access that site so it is not down.

Is there something in my settings that is preventing me from viewing this site now?

I DID see similar postings, but I didn't see where I could say "Me Too." So I'm posting separately.

This started in the past few days, the first with a website I've been using for 10 years. No problem with Chrome. I contacted their tech support. A couple of days later it worked okay till this morning (10/24/22). This evening it's off again -- after another software upgrade.

I'm now experiencing this with a second site, which I've also used for at least 10 years with no problems.

I read in a reply or two something about "profiles." I have no idea what this is or where to find them.

All of a sudden I can't send emails from Thunderbird. Even though the email is just a bit of text, I get a message saying that the size of the email exceeds the space available on the server. Our internet provider is Frontier, and I can send messages from Frontiermail. I call Frontier tech support, and got told that I didn't have space on my server, which makes no sense. Have any suggestions? I can get emails.
