I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Thank you very much!!

Awesome screenshot has a lot of users, but some aren't thrilled that you have to create an account.

it doesn't have to be particularly fancy. For instance, I have a couple Firefox and Windows issues I'd like t document.

As a user, when creating and using a saved credit card, I'd like the opportunity to provide it a nickname. This would make it easier to distinguish if multiple cards are saved. This doesn't seem to be available.

The New Tab page includes some shortcuts by default, including Amazon Search (see "@amazon" in the attached picture), which I dismissed shortly after installation. (The only options are "Pin/Unpin" and "Dismiss".)

However, I want to create such shortcut for another search engine, like https://duckduckgo.com/?q=%s&iax=images&ia=images and I don't see the option - even if I set the URL to include "%s" and the name of the pinned shortcut begins with "@", as with smart keyword search and the Amazon search shortcut, respectively.

I am an advanced user and don't mind manually editing files in my profile folder (after I back it up of course).

Edit: I found a reference to it in prefs.js in my profile but changing it using user.js only caused the user_pref to disappear with no effect on the tile items. user_pref("browser.newtabpage.pinned", "[null,null,null,null,{\"url\":\"https://www.amazon.com/\",\"label\":\"@amazon\",\"searchTopSite\":true},null]");

In Chrome I was able to have a home page as well as a first-up page. So, for my first-up page, I had Proton Mail for my email. Then, for my home page I had the New York Times. I'd like to be able to do the same here with Firefox, if possible.

I've been upgraded to 115, like it or not, and now my list of viewed email titles will only shorten to 10 emails instead of the previous 4, which leaves very little room to view an opened email. IOW, the double arrow will only let me raise the bottom boundary to be below a list of 10 emails. How can I shorten it back to 4??

When pressing the up arrow key with text in the URL bar, the bottom suggestion is selected, rather than returning the text cursor to the beginning. It used to place the insertion point at the very beginning of whatever text was in there, and then another up arrow press would select the bottom suggestion, but now it instantly wraps to the very bottom selection. It's quite frustrating when trying to modify a search query - now you either have to hold the left arrow key, or accurately click with the mouse

For instance, say I type "cloud" in the URL box, but figure "storm cloud" would be a better search. I can't just press the up arrow to add "storm ", because pressing the up arrow once now just replaces the entire line of text with "https://soundcloud.com/", completely ruining my search. I'm pretty sure this was recently changed with an update. Is there any hope of changing it back?

SHORT VERSION: Is it possible to make hunderbird show me, in the main window, that there is a tagged email ALSO inside a subfolder? EXPLANATION I am trying to be tidy and organised in my work emails with Thunderbird ;) Therefore I BOTH divide emails in subfolders AND flag the emails I have to postprocess but I don't have time right when I receive them. BUT I STILL HAVE TO POSTPROCESS THEM!!! However, if a flagged email is in a subfolder, Thunderbird doesn't show me that is flagged. In other words, if I want to see if there are unprocessed emails, I would have to enter each subfolder (which I don't do - so I don't postprocess the email! (angel) )

I was wondering if it is possible to make the open folder of emails on the right and then the view of the emails on the right? I have it set up on "Vertical" layout and would like all of the messages to be on the right hand side of the screen, but the view of the message in the middle between "all folders" and the open message

I want set my new tab page to open a local file. The same local file is also used for my home page. Until recently, I used the new tab extension to do this, however that stopped working.

There are many existing posts out there regarding this, so it seems it is a desired feature. However, none of the posts are applicable to the latest configuration 119.0 (October 2023).

Is there a way to force the new tab to open a local file? Or open the home page (which is also a local file)?

Recently my Inbox view keeps resetting View to Sort/Threaded - I can reset to Unthreaded but at some point it switches back. I think it might happen after I have been using search function where lots of emails can be displayed but Im not sure. Also it affects my wife's separate inbox even when I have only searched my own....any solution please ?

Recently (I am not sure what update started this) I started noticing "chevrons" in one particular folder under my inbox. How do I turn this unfeature off and get all emails as a new entry instead of the "chevron" method of hiding replies. This is very annoying and we need a way to turn this BAD idea off!

The folder headings are all there, but there is no content when I click on the headings?

This does not happen in the windows 10 version?

When i updated Firefox just now it offered several recommended security add-ons. I added a few of them. But now I can't access Facebook. I disabled them one at a time and still cannot get in. What do I do now?
