Hello,

My name is Nyayesh Abdollahi and I have a suggestion for Firefox; I've earlier been unable to access an account I created because the e-mail connected to it had been deleten.

This seems to me a proper weakness in Firefox and perhaps should be ameliorated...?

I just wanted to let you know this because I do think it's the best browser around.

If the problem has already been adressed, my apologies.

Kind regards, Nyayesh Abdollahi

It's so annoying that you ask for my password when I'm already logged in obviously. I'm on the same phone the same internet at the same address you should know by now it's me. And then nobody remembers the password even though they said they remembered it and I don't remember it. And it says if I reset my password I'm going to lose all the bookmarks and all of my logins. What the heck? Why isn't there always option just to login with my Google account? It does sometimes but not always.

Despite your suggestion in your prematurely-closed question at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1415834 the Android app *STILL* doesn't have the Sync and Save Data option. This is v120.1.1 (you know, well after the Overflow Menu got BROKEN in the desktop version). I have NO idea what device you must be using to suggest scanning from the keyboard, but this phone has no such item. And scanning from the camera complains that I didn't scan from the non-existent option in the app.

It keeps asking for the 6 digit code from my authenticator app which was lost when my phone crashed. Also, I can't seem to find my backup codes on any of my hard drives or SSDs on my computer (which was hacked about 6 months ago and I am still recovering from that), but have instituted more security measures. I can access Firefox fine on my computer. I think all I need to do is remove 2fa and then add 2fa back, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Two-step Authentication process

So this would be a question about a situation that I have been involved with before and any attempt at finding a reasonable solution that would help resolve this dilemma has been quite difficult to find. And so, I will paint a portrait of the scenario:

So hypothetically, let's assume that <User> has Two-step Authentication activated on Mozilla Firefox and is on a weekend excursion of the Mighty Mississippi River and so happens to lose that phone to the surging undercurrents and a tumultuous exodus to those murky depths, but On Top of This Person's Game, quickly attains a new phone (yet in a moment of rushed deliberation and penchant to make some minor miscalculations (to spice things up, of course) couldn't keep the old phone number.

And so, in the course of updating the newer phone version and the number on numerous sites and has arrived at finally updating Mozilla Firefox account, which asks to Two-step Authenticate by sending the code to the bottom of the Mississippi River (or some bull shark's belly (who is most likely very confused about why his lunch is buzzing and starts to be concerned about his own gut health issues).

And so, the Issue at hand is, how does one get thru the Two-step process, which only seems extremely eclectic about sending codes to that ex-phone instead of paying attention to this newer, younger phone version.

Thanks in advance, - Lost in a River

Neither "Ready to scan" nor "Use email instead" will log me into my account in Firefox. When I try to log in, I'm only logged into my account in that one single tab that I used for it, Firefox accounts says it's "Chrome Mobile 84". I'm unable to get Firefox itself to log in to my account at all.

Hello, I recently changed my password for my Firefox account and now I was unable to enter my new password to log in. I logged out of my account to see if it would work, but to no avail, and now I am signed out completely with the all my attempts to sign back in resulting in a forever-loading page.

Installing another version of Firefox does not work, as it tries to redirect me to the Google Play Store (which Amazon devices do not support). The method I tried to use is in the following link: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-android-nightly. If this is the way to do so, would I have to uninstall my current version of Firefox?

Thank you.

Facts 1. I reset my desktop and needed to login from scratch. 2. I have 2 step authentication on 3. I forgot which authentication app I used for firefox 4. So I used email to login (or try to login anyways).. I requested several emails

Problem 5. The EXACT same situation here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1356051#question-reply) happened to me: firefox claimed they were sending me emails, that had codes but didn't receive ANY email

More facts: 6. I read the article cited in 5. And installed authy, and sure enough was able to login 7. I got multiple back up options to log in now (got plenty of emails now)..

QUESTION: 8. Why did I get emails from 6. But not 4.? I suspect something is messed up on the security side of Firefox
